Good rooms and ambiance. Decent service… But everything else is overpriced. Be ready to shell out atleast 1k for a couple for average food and due to its remote location, you don't have any other option as well. Most importantly, be careful in your negotiations with the management. I ended up paying more than whole day charges for half day extension, while I had been informed that I would have pay only half the amount, during an earlier discussion. Mgmt is more intent on confusing their guests over the billing, than giving clear cut answers or listening to the issue.

Very nice place. Extremely courteous and friendly staff. Owner/manager personally caters to people during breakfast. Speaking of which, the breakfast is extremely good. Very nice spread across South Indian and also has pancakes and waffles! Highly recommended!

It's a beautiful resort though a bit far from the main thanjavur town. The lake was dried when I visted. The rooms were clean and spacious. The in house restaurant was quite expensive and you have no other option other than going for it since there is no restaurants or shops near by E. G. The chicken biryani was rated@ 400. There is buffet dinner which we never knew I guess that would have been a better option than taking Al a cart.

This is best place to relaxing on your vacation in Tanjore… located 7 km away from city center. Nice pool and good river view …

Good ambience, (better if u have water in the river nearby), reasonable food, bit on the costly side for the geography. Ideal for groups, costly for individual families, especially considering not much to do there.

Served a beer that expired a month ago. Each staff subdelegating work to another. Unworthy of the price they charge. Guest treated like jokers. Not recommend for people who are really looking for a good service.

I stayed at the resort for two nights with my wife. The resort rooms especially the bathrooms are very spacious and there is a nice breeze blowing outside. However the positives end there. The food at the hotel is ridiculously over-priced. The resort is infested with frogs and mosquitoes. It is located about 10 km from the city and there were hardly any other guests during our stay there. The people at the reception are unhelpful. I had a very bad payment related experience. I had paid in advance for my stay but the receptionist kept insisting that I hadn't paid. They were completely unhelpful in resolving the issue and I had to call their hotel partner to prove that I had paid for the rooms. When the issue was resolved, there was no apology from their side and they kept insisting that it is not their fault giving no importance to the customer. The names of the people in the reception are Bastien and Morris.

Very nice resort on banks of river. This Resort is inbetween thiruvaiyaru and Tanjore. Food is little bit costly but worth spending. Awesome. Well maintained and the staffs are very friendly.

Great place to stay. Warm welcome and excellent housekeeping. Value for money. Recommended for stay with family and friends.

Great place 3 stars is a little understatement. Great facilities and good food. The ambiance is excellent, my only complain t is the room service doesn't operate till late and they weren't able to bring a drink at 11pm. Otherwise great resort.

Great clean beautiful pool.

A rather dated 'resort' hotel 7km from the town. Decent swimming pool, rooms quite big. Bathrooms v large! Although the buffet meal was pushed heavily, be persistent and look at the Menu — much wider choice, much cheaper.

Nice place for a peaceful stay on the banks of a river. Food is good. Pricing is high for the available infrastructure. An ideal place for group outing.

Situated 13kms from the city near a highway. Well accessible. Property is well maintained. Food is great but in the evenings there are lots of mosquitoes and bugs making it impossible to sit in the open dining area. A laid back scenery with cottages to relax from the city life.

The most beautiful hotel in Thanjavur.

One of the best hotels during our stay in South India. Nice pool, very comfortable room, top breakfasts, and a very good level catering for a decent price. A beautiful address.

Spent 2 nights here at the end of October, before the peak season began. River View room (we were allocated a ground floor room in a two story block in the garden) was sufficiently large and included an ensuite bathroom that had both shower and full size bath and a small dressing area useful for storing suitcases. Nicely cleaned and maintained. Free Wi-Fi but you need to login each time you go out of range of the router… a bit of a pain but not disastrous. Nice sized outdoor swimming pool. Situated 2 or 3 kilometres down a small country road so not possible to walk to the local town. Hotel restaurant is good though. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Lot off lizzards were in room. Avoid ground floor booking. Service good, staff good. Food ok.

Great place for stay. The food was really nice with the breakfast being the best. The property is a bit away from city but worth it because of the beauty.

The hotel is just outside the city of Thanjavur, so while you can beat the crowds of city proper, you are short drive away. The rooms were nice and had balconies. The service was a bit slow to respond to problems with air-conditioning and TV, but they did fix the issues. The grounds are beautiful, and it has a nice restaurant.

Amazing location. Close to the nature. Silent and peaceful. Service very good. Rooms are very high standard and very big; tastefully decorated. Very good south Indian food and choice of foreign alcohols.

The name. Says it all. IDEAL, ver nice place. Calm and very engaging. Kids will love the place. Lots of place to run around. Food is very tasty but on the costlier side. The staff out there give us a 5 star treatment.

I will call this place as Heaven. Located in the banks of Vennaaru river. Multi cuisine restaurant, Ayurvedic Spa, Internet Cafe, travel desk available. Individual resort style room. Lawn with hanging rope chair. If you are a tourist and looking for pleasant stay in Thanjavur, I will recommend this over Sangam/ Gnanam hotel. The only downside is road approach. The road is narrow and one has to be very careful during night time.
