It is an actual heritage hotel with all vintage furniture and old looking off-white shandel lights everywhere. You won't see a single white light in this entire hotel. Really gives you a feel of some ancient French house.

Very very beautiful small french hritage lodge. Very responding staff, ask anything and they will help, like how to rent bikes and all that jazz.

I stayed here for two days, booked one double room and one single studio room which cost around 2000 and 1500 each. The rooms were not worth for money. It was highly priced. And the location is far from Promanade beach u need to walk around 20-25 mints to reach there.

A beautiful place to stay with all the goodies round the corner, all the must go places nearby, and the hotel served amazing breakfast that filled our tummies, overall we had a pleasant stay :)

Booked hotel through makemytrip so got a decent price (sub 2k per night). The hotel has a traditional set up with a lot of terracotta tiling in the common areas and old-fashioned wooden furniture in the rooms. Staff was courteous and the hotel was neat and tidy. Room was small but comfortable. The bathroom could do with some serious work. Water was dripping from somewhere in the ceiling and there was no pressure in the pipes. Due to improper sloping of the floor, the water did not get drained at all. Breakfast also needs to be improved. There is not much choice and the food was so-so. There's no parking available in front of the hotel as it is a very narrow street. So you have to park the car somewhere away from the hotel, go to the receptionist and ask him to clear the entrance to a parking lot a few metres ahead. Then you get back to your car and park your car in that space. A big hassle.

Nice quiet place. They have a kitchen for breakfast and tea/coffee. Arrange great Arabian, Chinese, Indian cusine and Barbecue. Good value for money.

This place is a situation at the heart of the city with all the tourist places within 10-15km max. The staff is very welcoming and sweet. But this place doesn't have a restaurant in the hotel but there are lots of places to eat around this place. The hotel staff also suggested a place that would deliver the food to our hotel. So we ordered from that place very conviniently. Rooms have ac, the bathrooms sre decent. But what really surprised me was the loyalty of the staff who called us to inform that we had by mistake left over 1200rs in one of the drawers and they transferred the money to our bank account immediately. :)

This is such a hotel where you will not have even a slight ray of sunlight getting into the room. Its such a dim even in day time you will feel gloomy, the lights are also very dim. In the name of heritage this hotel is itself a shame to the term 'heritage'. Not recommended.

This hotel is a good place to stay if you are on a vacation. The service is very good, they have parking space if you have a four wheeler.

This is kind of heritage hotel, with basic amenities and good cleanliness. The rooms are bit small in size but we'll maintained. Room has AC, TV and clothes hook and bathroom has hot water supply. There is no restaurant in hotel, we need to order food from a nearby hotel Zaffron.

Look and feel good but minimal service in the hotel.
Rooms not made in the morning, rudimentary bathroom, poor breakfast, noise from 6h and rather expensive (+ 60 €/night).
For 30 € it would have been a good plan, but not at this price.

Overpriced on mrp. Look for a deal and you will enjoy the stay. Lovely staff and awesome hospitality. South indian old house themed hotel with wooden furniture. Only negative point is fab hotel's central management and their prices. The hotel itself however is really good.

Nice and a calm place to stay. As this is a little far from the beach, it is less occupied. Management is friendly but will be glad they could extend their services a little.

Michelle Fernandes here stayed at Pondicherry for 3 days at this heritage hotel. Was a fabulous experience. Front office very helpful and promt service. My kids enjoyed the bedroomsuite a lot.

Stayed with family at this hotel overnight. The most interesting highlight is that this place gives one a heritage feeling as this hotel has been constructed out of one such property. Even lighting in room is kept to minimal for infusing that feel. Water in the washroom is hard water and does not foam. That’s the downside of our stay here. The complimentary breakfast though unlimited had only few dishes on offer. Staff are courteous and understanding. Pls do ask for their parking lot which is little distant from Hotel yet walkable. Very finely located close to commercial streets of pondicherry though distant from other tourist spots. Worth my stay for ₹2K.

Old village style hotel with nice ambience. People who like historic look will appreciate this hotel. A must try.

Heritage bldg. Nice rooms. Gives a heritage feeling… Nice breakfast. Only thing being parking issue. Bike parking on roadside. Car parking is some 300 mts away.

Staff were brilliant and are what made this place worth it. I arrived very early in the morning and with no reservation, nonetheless the receptionist, forgot to get his name :/, was friendly and helpful in making sure I my room booked. Another staff member, Anthony, was incredibly helpful to me when it came finding things around town and booking onward travel. Rooms were also clean with good facilities.

Booked this hotel to get a heritage feel but this was not as good as we hoped. Breakfast was really bad, nor their was hot water in washroom. Will not stay here again.

One of the best fab hotels, I have stayed in Goa, Hyderabad, ooty etc but this one gave me the best experience. Food is excellent and staffs are courteous. The hotel definitely gives you heritage feel and it's in the center of the city nearby all famous shops and tourist spots.

The rooms in themselves were lovely but a broken toilet seat and a chair with a 6 inch hole in the seat, a towel that was brown from use and while not difficult to get along, was surprising that there seemed to be no ongoing remedial action. It would be a pity if this hotel progressively lost its customers out of neglect. The breakfast was very small and if the guest is later than 8:30 (depending upon the number of guests preceding you at the table, there might not be much or nothing to eat at all. After checkout we got a call telling us that breakfast was not part of the meal plan and that we had to pay for it. The onus was on me to find my voucher that mentioned the included breakfast, which I did. They have parking for about four cars with two cars in line, so sometimes as I experienced, there will be the need to fetch the other owners/drivers to get their car out of the way before you can get out. Now the good part is that the property in itself is absolutely gorgeous. It is centrally located, tastefully decorated and while the rooms are small, they are quite adequate for the purpose.

Not a usual commercial hotel. Actually a traditional brahmin residence converted to a hotel. So the ambience is much different. No restaurant in the hotel. So food needs to be ordered from outside. The room charges are fairly reasonable. Room service not spontaneous. Staff cordial and helpful.

Wonderfull hotel interior and service food is also good… location is also good… Tgis not a hotel its like home… I love it.

Lovely place to be and spend your vacation. The breakfast was also good. The only complaint is that despite empty rooms they didn't allow us a early check in.

This is an unpretentious cosy quiet place for a weekend getaway. The facade looks rather plain. But once you enter, the rooms are cosy, well maintained and comfortable. Pros. Frequent jams are inevitable Four wheeler parking is not easily accessible. You will have to park on the roadside, sometimes quite some distance away. Breakfast is available in house, but other meals will have to brought in.

Perfect place to stay at Pondy. Rooms are extremely neat and cozy and the architecture is very beautiful.

Stayed here in June 2016, the décor of the hotel is tasteful and well maintained, the staff courteous and helpful. Would highly recommend.

A very cozy and romantic little heritage hotel, it lies inconspicuously on one of the Tamil streets of pondicherry. However, a walk into the hotel gives you a very refreshing feel and the rooms themselves are very charming. Great place to stay in pondicherry for a very affordable price.

Lovely and quite hotel. Little away from the French quarter. The breakfast can improve a LOTTTTT. The beds are tooooo high even for a normal person.
