Good food. Will be crowded during lunch time and finding car parking during lunch time will be difficult. Centrally located with easy access to bus stand. Service is okay. Car Parking facility available for guests. Rooms are okay.

Hotel Jayaram, one of the few centrally located hotel with the best of the facilities at an affordable price. It is one of the few reputed vegetarian hotel in the town with over 15 years of excellent service. The rooms are spacious and well maintained with clean bathroom.

Very nice hotel. Good rooms but some what cost. This hotel has some brand image, restaurant is also nice. Parking lot is there. Nice management.

Decent stay for family weekend visit. The best part is the good vegetarian food that you get in the hotel as well. Very well priced and is in the heart of the city. Near to the shopping centres and has a hospitable staff.

It is centrally located. You can reach any area with in 10 minutes. It looks elegant and costly from outside but it is economical too. Rooms are spacious neat and hygienic. Staff are prompt and polite. I like the greenery they are maintaining in the outside, and in the interiors. Large covered parking area is available. I like the food served in the restaurant (vegetarian only). It has got convention hall.

Located in the main Street. It's a decent property for the price. The staff are courteous. Rooms are decent. Not much of view from your window though. The best part about the location is, that its very near to the rock beach. You can easily walk down or can take auto. It is near to the market, if you wish to walk along the street and soak in the city by foot. The in house restaurant is pretty neat. They have a wide spread of food items to satisfy your appetite. This is a pure veg joint by the way. Overall it's a decent place, easy on your pocket. If you book it through any of the portals, then you can even get it at a more reasonable rate. Room are luxurious and comfortable. Tasty food specially veg. Take comparative more time to get food during rush hour in restaurants managed by them.

Everything is nice. The rooms are not very clean. We could smell smoke when we checked into our room. The staff won't clean the room unless specifically asked to do so.

The only luxury vegetarian hotel in Pondicherry. The Jayaram hotel stands top in veg. Quality and never looses its Standard till date. North Indian which I ate there was extremely awesome. Superb rooms with all comfort in it. The hotel's construction itself looks different and Impressive.

Neatly maintained room. Helpful and polite staff. The hotel is just a few steps away from market and a km away from promenade beach.

Nice hotel tidy and awesome vegetarian food. Hotel rooms have been renovated and looks great now. Rooms are spacious. Location is perfect with everything in real proximity — beaches shopping and theatre. If you are looking for a nice economical and peaceful hotel then you don’t look anywhere else.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants! The taste and the price compliment each other. Loved the overall experience! Wouldn't mind going hell number of times again!

Went for Breakfast and regular visitor to this hotel. Food is good. I requested to put tips along with food bill for waiter. Seems like management not ready to facilitate it and not taking care of waiter. Even few more customers interest to share tips along with card payment. But management is not paying attention to it. Not caring for staff said by the staff itself.

Average, middle class hotel. Living on past glory. But has excellent vegetarian South Indian restaurant. Try their 4foot and 6 foot family dosa. Unbeatable value for money.

The rooms here are priced at around ₹2-3k per night. The service is good and the location is close to the beaches and shopping areas. The restaurant is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city with moderate prices. The service is also fast and good in both the hotel and the restaurant. It is also popular among the tourists who come to Pondicherry.

Rooms are pretty good. Room service and the peoples are helpful and polite. No extra free services. Everything needs to paid… even Wi-Fi is ₹50 per hr… Other wise rooms are good and spacious and at a very convenient place…

The antique set up of the hotel is lovely. Food is awesome. No breakfast with stay packages.

Nothing fancy but decent place to stay as a couple or as family. Good location, responsive and helpful staff. Has a decent in house restaurant. I have reduced a star because our room had a couple of issues: a) water in bathroom was accumulating. I think the staff knows this, but they pushed the room. B) fan regulator was gone. C) very few electric sockets.

Every time we go via Pondicherry, we visit the restaurant in this hotel for breakfast. They have good south Indian breakfast options with very good taste and hygiene. Bit on the costlier side.

I found the services at the hotel to be excellent. Hope to revisit sometime. Wish them success in future.

Excellent place to have a Vegetarian Menu… Ambience was perfect… Choice of options is wide and taste is wonderful… Car Parking is available… Best part is they serve lunch until 3:30PM. ThumpsUp.

I visited the restaurant after many years since I had fond memories of this place. I needed to make a parcel order for breakfast today. I found that the service had considerably deteriorated in the restaurant. Despite requesting the waiters several times they took almost half an hour even to take an order. They were completely unapologetic about the delay. A call to the reception did not help either. It's true that nothing good lasts forever. Maybe, the management changed. I recall an elderly gentleman from the management who used to personally visit the tables to inquire about food and service.

Restaurant is good. We ordered sandwich which was really good. Waiters were aware about Jain food. Ice cream was not good and was tasting like some local brand. Tea was little costly than normal, but it was really really good.

Hotel Jayaram has vegetarian restaurant which is popular among the local people. The vegetarian South Indian thali is the common choice among people. Food quality and quantity is good if not great. The hotel also has lodging facilities with ample parking space. This hotel is a 2 star budget hotel.

The restaurant in hotel Jayaram (Akshara) is the worst vegetarian restaurant one could find in puducherry. I went there with my friends. 1. It is suitable for only dosa. We ordered mushroom 65, mushroom manjurian and mushroom gravy and everything came with spoiled mushroom or overcooked. It had smoke taste and flavour. 2. Mushroom and Panner fried rice which we ordered were not fried at all. Literally some oil was poured on boiled rice and served and mushroom was overcooked and had smokey smell. We couldnt even eat it and we kept it and came away. 3. None of the dishes had the required amount of salt and spice required for the dish. Better b ready to shake both salt and pepper several times after dishes are served. Had one of the worst experience being a localite of Puducherry. Would never recommend it to any of my friends. Also Not suitable for group more than 5. All tables are with four capacity.

Nice place to stay in Pondi. Has a good veg restaurant, clean large rooms, though the bathroom fittings give away the fact that it is an old place. Still well maintained. The water is hard, as in most places of this part of the world. The complementary drinking water bottles aleviated any issues around this. Wifi available on request but at a steep price — 50 Rs per hour. I misread information on their site and expected free Wi-Fi — it is only Wi-Fi available and not free Wi-Fi available :). The place is quite near to the Nehru street which has a lot of shops. You can walk all the way down Nehru street and will end up at the beach. Rs 1700 per night for an A/C double room. One funny thing is that it is the same room given at 1400 for single occupancy, only difference is they give only one bottle of complementary drinking water :).

The hotel service must be improved facilities and food taste are good.

Not good service at all. Food doesn't taste too good but OK.

Very bad service. I went there with fmly and my little kid was cranky and wouldn't eat. I requested the waiter to pack the food. One idly to feed him at the room. They made a face as if I was asking some thing special. Then thy shabily pack the idly in a paper and give me. Not expected with the star oevel of this hotel.

Stayed just a day. Horrible experience. The rooms were dirty. Found mosquitos and air conditioning was bad. Best thing about. Hotel is food. I loved the food. Will not recommended anyone to stay here.
