Quiet and serene. Good service. Good rooms. Windy and Cooler by a couple of degrees. So coming with warm clothes is a must.

We are a group of 8 couples from Pune, stayed for 3 days. Excellent food. Polite staff n best n quick service. Feel like home. Nice premises and landscape. Don't forget to have excellent n heavy breakfast Thanks Sherlock.

Relaxing place and helpful staff. They need to somehow work on approach road from main road for a better experience.

Nice cosy place. Approach roads very narrow. Limited parking. Friendly staff. Mountain rooms that we stayed in were in rundown stage, need immediate renovation. Beds soggy and very uncomfortable. Bathrooms leaking from top. Garden view rooms better for view and if travelling with kids. No Wi-Fi in rooms.

Our second trip to Sherlock Homes and we had an absolute blast there… again. The rooms facing the lawn are the best and the bonfire in the night is spectacular. The food and the resort is also great and the chef and staff are extremely accommodating. Special thanks to Sanjay, Shabnam and Kapil for taking great care of us as always with their hospitality.

Nice and great property for family to just chill within the property. There are few trek paths and horse rides which are available right outside. The rooms are lovely and well maintained. Staffs are nice and courteous. Not the greatest of views from the property however just from a stay perspective and the proximity with the city center its a lovely property.

It's amazing place to actually get away from the fussy of ooty. Very peaceful n calm with amazing view and Amazing interiors … Food is also amazing …

Awesome place, friendly staff and tasty food! Visited this place with our 6 month old baby. The people here had put a lot of effort cooking baby food too! had an awesome overall experience.

A very quaint British era bungalow nestled away from the bustle of Ooty with neat, clean and functional rooms with breathtaking view of the valley. Shout-out to manager Sanjay and his staff who made us feel right at home during our visit. Highly recommend a stay at this Sherlock Holmes inspired hotel as long as the tricky approach doesn't deter you.

If you plan on visiting Ooty then, this is definitely a place to stay. The cottage is placed on Tiger hills and so gives a great view of the place. The staffs are very friendly and always smiling. The food is amazing here and served really fresh and hot. The interiors of the cottage is themed after Sherlock novel and each room is named after a chapter from the book. There is also a fireplace in every room.

Really enjoyed the stay with family and friends. Location is on top of a small hill around 4Km from the Ooty main road and gives a nice view of near by mountains. Have a good garden area in the main block along with ample dining area, a small sports room and variety of seatings to relax. Food is also good but a little expensive. Provide Camp Fire at night for the guests to enjoy the dinner on the lawn.

Location: Situated on a valley top, the approach road is 1 way and little tricky, but the 1km odd ride to venue is worth as you get a private valley view from your room. Misty mornings till noon! Amenities: It is a theme based stay experience, it gives you a heritage feel, with only 13 rooms, you are attended personally and get an amazing experience of owning the place! Not much amenities other than the stay and food. Food and service: Lavish breakfast spread with a-la-carte lunch and dinner options. We preferred to have the lunch on the lawns overlooking the majestic hills. Rooms: Clean, excellent staff, fireplace in each room, personal care and hygiene provisions. We were a couple on honeymoon visited in off-season, booked the Gloria Scott (Honeymoon Cottage). Enjoyed stay and overall experience.

Definitely the best place to stay in Ooty. Away from all the crowd and noise. Staff is very good. Property manager is one of the best that I have experienced. Makes every possible effort to make your stay comfortable. Food is delicious. Being a little away from town, restaurant at the hotel is the best option but since the food is very good there is no problem. Good for staying with kids also. Has a very beautiful private garden where you can relax and even play some games. The view is really beautiful from the hotel. Rooms are big and clean. Washrooms get hot and cold water. Rooms also have a fireplace which is really charming. Recommended for family, couples, groups. All in all a wonderful place to stay. I did not experience anything negative at The Sherlock. If I ever go back to Ooty will only stay there.

Fantastic place with warm and courteous staff! Although the path that leads to the place is not as great, it's totally worth it. Esp the room with garden room.

Great hotel, with an ever smiling and cheerful manager. You will get excellent views of hills and valleys from the hotel. Food in the restaurant is also very good. I loved my stay at this hotel.

Loved the place. Wonderful view. Very helpful staff. The only thing I did not like about this place is the road leading to it.

The moment you enter the resort you say just one word WOW. From there on you enter a world of first class Service, amazing view, beautiful garden, delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, quiet and pollution free. It is so quiet and away from town and pollution that you would feel relaxed and happy. And of course if you have seen Sherlock Holmes and are a fan of the series then you would love it more. Experience it to enjoy it.

This is a Victorian style Hotel situated well away from the noise & pollution. The service is just awesome. Friendly staff always ready to help you & go the extra mile. Good food. Not too many activities for kids. I will definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic place, the staff make you feel like it's your very own hill station home. On top of that, every single food item we tried was delicious. Definitely coming here again!

A calm place on top of the hills. The resort is good for families or groups that prefer a silent place. The only good thing about this place is the food. But they serve in very less quantity which gets over soon and them you will need to wait for the next round, by that time you will loose your appetite. The rooms are a bit smelly and if you come in groups you should be lucky enough to get the rooms nearby.

Me along with family stayed in sherlock Ooty on 2nd to 5th dec 2015. Its hill resort. Its heaven on earth! A theme of sherlock Holmes taken in interior. Fire place and sit outs in every room. Excellent and personalised service by staff mr Marshall, sanjay, Abhishek, Andrew and Srinivasan. High grade food. Beautiful ambience. U can't think of any other resort.

Food is not great. But ambiance is good.

‘Sherlock’ is totally picturesque, mesmerizing and a romantic place …… The old British Bungalow had this perfect setting for the theme ‘Sherlock’ and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Loved the décor! Turned us all (a group of 6 ladies) into fans of Sherlock Holmes and his lover Ms. Irene Adler (…daintiest thing under a bonnet on this planet – a quote from one of the picture frames)! Rooms were very cosy and comfortable and clean toilets which we were so particular about…! Hot water bags, firewood place, room heaters and hot tea/coffee kept us warm through the chilly nights. “Call for firewood anytime. Ma’am” was like blessing in disguise! Staff were non-intrusive and were very helpful with a sweet smile on requests! Overall most enjoyable stay and will return for sure! Can Improve: breakfast. More attention and variety needed.
