Lloyds Serviced Apartments, Near Music Academy Hotel

Its a very good budget hotel almost near marina beach. Hotel's locality is very good clean area, almost silent locality. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big/sufficiently big in size. Cleanliness is well maintained across all rooms. However it looks like they do not have their own restaurants. But in the area near by in the locality there are number of restaurants both north and south Indian. Parking space is sufficiently available. I suggest to improve hotels outer looks from road side.

I live close by to this guest house and recently looked it up for my cousin who was wanting to book few rooms for his brothers who were visiting for a family function. I helped him out by suggesting this place. The rooms looked clean, decent, air-conditioned, simple. Our guests stayed here and later the water in the taps had foul smell and later changed to another rooms. But it was no good. The breakfast is brought from elsewhere, very poor quality and this place didn't suit our requirements. If one can afford, woodlands on the cathedral is a better option, or Maris hotel again on Cathedral is good for family. The Lloyd's guest house may be OK for bachelor's who visit for a night.

Every thing in this guest house is old but it is very well maintained. Bedsheet, towel and soaps are provided in room. Hot water gyser, tv, wardrobe, mirror, chair and place to keep ur bags. Very near to US Consulate. No dining available, however breakfast is provided. Water bottle is provided during check-in. Best thing is 24hrs check-in and check-out facility. Staff understands Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Recommended for short period stays as we have to go out for food.

Stay was decent. But owner is super helpful and approachable. Helped me alot with getting around and food places. Best place to stay if you are in Chennai for visa process.

Terrible. I was supposed to stay for 2 weeks, I couldn’t even get past one night! first they told me at the reception the credit card machine is not working, so I had to pay by cash which I needed. Then the Wi-Fi wasn’t working and had to wait until it was fixed. Last but not least, in only 5 hours in the room I found 3 cockroaches in the bathroom and in the room! apparently the bathroom window is open to the street with nothing on it to prevent any insect from entering. I have stayed in other places with similar prices, but this one was the worst.

Very decent place. I booked for 8.00 am to 7.00 pm through mistay. In. This is quite a good place for a budget stay… there are good restaurants near by and US consulate Chennai is at walkable distance.

It is a very good function hall. Very neat and clean. It is in well known area of Chennai that is Gopalapuram.

Nice and normal place. 2 star hotel. Don't serve food. Breakfast is also arranged from vendor. But good staff. Service also good. Value for money.

An affordable place with good staff. Complementary breakfast offered to deluxe rooms only. Opposite to MAIN branch of Indian Bank on Avvai Shanmugan Salai. Apparently just mentioning Royapettah and Indian Bank leads you to some other place. One can stay with family here. The place is safe and sound.

A good budget guest house for staying. Close to US embassy and good hotels. Courteous staff. Good hotels are close by.

The breakfast provided at this place is not even enough for a 3 year old child. And the air conditioner is poorly maintained.

Ok place. Doesn't look so great as what others described in the reviews. However, one point is that I never had an embarrassing situation with any of the staff in my three days stay. Food — Machine tea with tea bags that costs Rs. 20/ tea. Its not worth it. If we need milk tea, they get it from outside and that needs to be paid by us again. "Bfast included" during the booking doesn't include tea/ coffee (not the machine tea as well). If you have any work in and around the place, it's worth booking it. Else, not a bad idea if you choose other options as well.

It's ambience is not good service was blunder.

A simple neat place in the heart of the city and quite a hospitable staff who always wear a smile.

Edit: Lloyd's Guest House gave my phone number to some third party who keep calling me even after I told them to not call me again. I'm downgrading my rating to 3 stars due to this unacceptable behaviour. Original review: The room was spacious with a large bed. Bathroom was large and clean. Staff were nice. While the complimentary breakfast wasn't great, it was good enough in the rush of getting ready for our visa interview. Their 24-hour check out policy allowed us to relax a bit before vacating our room. The furniture were clean, modern, and undamaged. I had a good time staying here, and would definitely stay here when I am in this area again.

5 star for customer service. On time breakfast. Room service was good.
