Had their buffet lunch at The Piano. Since I had a 50 % discount through Easy Diner, I felt satisfied. Otherwise paying Rs 1300 per head is on the higher side. They have a wonderful dessert spread. Service is exemplary. Starters were average.

A good business hotel. The best part is the location. Bang in the middle of the business district. Good options in terms of restaurants. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a big spread. The hotel tend to get crowded with a lot of events though. The staff are courteous and prompt.

We must be careful while driving to the Hotel Savera because we might miss the entrance if we go over the fly over. It has many facilities like swimming pool, restaurant, brew room and very spacious lounge. Car parking is sufficiently good. Nice rooms, it was clean and tidy, seems to be well maintained.

Located in Mylapore, pretty much near to almost all the locales in Chennai. The rooms were okay, they could have been better and the toilets bigger (and ventilation). Overall, it does not give you a luxurious feel, as I said, it's okay. The restaurants were very good on the other hand including the complementary breakfast. To sum it up, it was a pleasant stay.

Had a dinner with my friend in the terrace open air environment. Had Punjabi food festival going on there. Food was tasty. The waiters were exceptional in their service. Price was relatively less compared to other hotels of its range.

Very good hotel. Very close to US consulate. The service is very nice. Spacious hotel with huge parking area. All the staffs are very friendly. There are many restaurants within the hotel itself. The rooftop one is nice. The pool and gym are very good and well maintained. They are public too. So bit crowded most of the time. The hotel is quite old and it's reflected inside room : (they could have improved it. The complementary breakfast is good. Early check-in and late check-out options are not available.

A good 4 star hotel with all facilities. It has Ample parking and a clean swimming pool apart from spa etc all maintained good. The check in desk is short staffed. Buffet breakfast is good with a large spread. During weekends, due to crowd the restaurant is full and you need to have patience to get a table. I believe the bar is good there but I haven't been there.

Rooms are fabulous and clean. The service is especially fantastic and all the staff are very courteous. The hotel is pretty close to the US Embassy, which makes it convenient for those who need to go there. The only suggestion I could make would be to add a shower enclosure to the bathroom, so water doesn't get everywhere. Overall, it was we had an excellent time there and hope to stay at The Savera Hotel again.

I love the ambiance of the place and an amazing buffet. The time I went there, a band performance was ongoing which really lightens up the mood as the band performs next to the bar. It's just as good as it looks in all the pictures on the net. It has an amazing pool and really comfortable beds.

Very good service and friendly staff. The place is always full thanks to the great food with at least 50 varieties of dishes. Considering that two meals a day are complementary the rooms are reasonably priced. Unlike most other hotels this place is frequented by both domestic and foreign tourists. Only one issue that I have faced sometimes is with the reception staff who need to be more professional.

One of the oldest in Chennai. Had bitter experiences twice staying here. Once the toilet was broken and overflowing. Next time I was given a much better room with perfect cooling! But in the middle of the night I found AC regulator non functional. This time I stayed in another hotel and lectured at the diabetes convention at Savera. Ball room is very good and well air conditioned. Rest room was burning like a hot furnace! It’s a very busy property but not suitable for elegant meetings or comfortable stays!

Savera is one of the very well maintained old hotels in Chennai. It is as pristine as it was 10 years ago. We visited the roof top restaurant Curry leaf for a social dinner. Food was amazing as usual and the menu was okay too. One thing I felt different from earlier days was the portions have become much less and even roti appeared to be miniatured. Recommended.

Savera is one of the finest hotels within the city limits. The complimentary breakfast associated to your is a mouthwatering experience as you'll get to taste everything from English to South Indian cuisines. The rooms are well ventilated and the rest rooms are spacious. In the evenings you can take a walk to the world's second longest beach and come back without spending much on public transport.

Nice and beautiful place to visit having good views for some. Customer care is good but need some improvements. Can get many services but the quality is average and need improvements. Correction in health related minor issues are there. Hope the administration will consider to educate the workers and the responsible team for the betterment of the visitors.

Excellent services. Room is clean and maintained. Hotel has 4 restaurants and the room service is really good. The restaurants are slightly on the expensive side. Really nice swimming pool. Bathroom supplies is the only thing which can be improved. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

A part of Madras history, this hotel has survived the test of times. Great food as always and great location. But the service levels have dropped drastically. The rooms also need maintenance. The door frames in the Bathroom were badly damaged and have dangerous protrusion of wood and nails. It still offers decent value for money and is worth the money for short stays.

A very well-maintained hotel in the heart of the city. Comfortable room, clean washroom, clean bed linen and polite, helpful staff, whether bell-boys, lift attendant or reception staff. Housekeeping service is excellent. The upper floors have a good view of the city as this is one of the tallest buildings in the locality. The restaurant serves very good buffet breakfast.

I travelled to Chennai for business purpose and my accommodation was arranged in Savera. Excellent location. A decent hotel with extremely good house keeping and rooms are comfortable and quite big. Their included breakfast is amazing with plenty of options. They also provided complimentary one time cab pickup from airport. Overall the experience was great.

Great place to stay, good service, good stay, very courteous staff. Nisha the front office executive is very cordial person to interact with, her language and check in process has been immaculate, very professional lady to interact with. I wish her all good luck.

They have a very professional Gym Body Lyrics. A lovely pool. Nice Bar, Restaurants on the lobby is nice. A Cute Coffee Bar. Fabulous Terrace restaurant. The rooms are a tad small. The suites are better. Very value for money. Staff is very helpful. Practically a five star. The options for Banquets almost 3 or 4 spaces. Busy and still retains old world charm for a property that 35 plus years.

The Distància was very good. The Devoció very good and colloquial.

The hotel is good although a felt a little overpriced. For people planning to stay I would recommend to plan your food and other anamities outside since the these are really expensive. That's what I felt. Apart from this, the hotel is great. I had an amazing experience and the staff is helpful and polite. I went to Chennai for my US visa and the staff helped me with things like what I shouldn't take at the Embassy and which route should I take. Overall I would recommend it.

Fantastic place to stay in. The breakfast spread is amazing. Rooms are as would expect great… staffs of the hotel are very courteous… have been visiting this hotel for over 3 decades. And I still love patronizing the place. Definitely a place I will recommend to all.

I recently spent 1 night at this hotel arriving around 11 am. The room was ready and it was nice to get an early check in after an early morning flight. The reception area is very attractive and elegant but when we got to our room (facing the pool, which is a good size and seemed very clean) we were disappointed. The room smelt stuffy and slightly moldy, as if it had not been opened in a while. The room and especially the bathroom, are in need of some renovations … furniture, bathroom fittings, doors and flooring are overused and outdated. On a positive note, the mattress and pillows were comfortable. Our rate included a buffet breakfast which was excellent, with a good variety of South Indian and continental items and a cooked-to-order eggs station. The coconut rice was the best we had in 2 months in India.

Excellent mix of old and new where you find the warm and traditional welcome of Tamil hospitality within a Modern ambience. It has good restaurants as well and the location is one of the most ideal to stay while in Chennai. The service and staff are good, a must for foreign tourists with a reasonable budget looking for world class stay within a value for money stay.

Good ambience and accessibility from all parts of Chennai. Taste of food and selection of drinks available is also satisfactory. Staff force delivering timely service according to the needs adds on to all this.

Considering the price paid Savera was extremely good value for money. Good breakfast with big selection. And very good service. When my wife was sick they provided a car there and back to local hospital. Much appreciated.

Loved this place. Went on a Christmas Eve and it was completely decorated with lights. Brew Room Hot Chocolate is a must also you can try their Sandwich (Bacon), Burgers. Had no complaints with the service (extremely friendly). Also this is among famous Cafe's of Chennai so you can expect a decent crowd.

Hotel is at the city centre and conveniently located in mylapore area. The hotel rates are worth for the experience you get. It's value for money. Room views are good. Service and staff behaviour is great. Swimming pool available. Most importantly the hotel ambience similar to 5 star hotel. You are not allowed in shorts at their pub bay 46. North Indian items available with good options beside south Indian items. Overall great experience.

The Poshest address for any Visitor in Chennai, undoubtedly. With a large cuisine variety in different halls, there is no dearth of food choice… ample, plenty for the palette. An arresting Swimming pool neatly maintained and a exotic Bar lounge for reveling in spirits and music becomes the highlight in the most conventional conservative city of India. An experience to stay in a large room goes without saying, how much one would enjoy the space and silence.

First, I was wrong, considering the stars and ratings. People are different and so are their opinions. I changed my itinerary from "The Park" (where I've stayed before) to this Savera hotel on purely rating basis… And it went wrong. This place has to improve on the parking lot (even though it's much much bigger than the park) bell desk definitely has to improve, staffs are good and so the food (Veg/Non veg). Ambience is good, but cleanliness (with regards to dining area and the rooms has to take a leap… Facilities needs to improve. Sadly I wouldn't recommend my friends to this place since there are much better class competitors available IMO … Thank you… Sorry didn't have time for photos :)

A nice swanky hotel at reasonable pricing. Nice rooms. Though the view out of the window wasn't great. Located near the Music Academy, it's a great place for music aficionados participants during the Chennai Music Season.

This hotel seems like a hit or miss. They got the breakfast buffet down pretty well and it's nice that's its free. But hospitality could be a lot better. When you enter hotel there are no towels in the room. Called to request them. No answer. Called again later. They said they'll send someone up. Noone ever came. The rooms are OK but nothing to write home about. Free water was nice. I have mixed feelings about the hotel but if the hospitality picks up and fact that this hotel is in good destination I might come here again.

Took my MD Japanese national for dinner with Colleague family. Restaurant cleanliness is not good. The glass are not washed and chilled ready for serving. Feel an old feeling to everything in the restaurant. Staff are not experienced in Serving the drinks and food expect the main staff. The food menu is good.

I think the hotel property is pretty old. It's definitely showing its age along the lines of everything that you see around you. Some higher category rooms seem to be maintained well. Half of the hotel has been renovated and the other half is terrible. It's got a couple of stores inside for shopping clothes, flowers etc. There's a cool swimming pool alongside a man made waterfall for display. The room service here is slow. Buffet breakfast is complimentary pretty much for all guests unless your room booking didn't include that due to a promo room rent.

We were given a very bad smoke-smelling room. It was so bad that the matchsticks for smoking weren't cleaned properly. Literally you could feel a gush of fresh air as you step out of the room to the hallway, that bad it was. The receptionist wasn't ready to swap rooms and said odor neutralizer will be sprayed. No one came for straight 30min, we were fed up and pushed for a room swap. During the wait we noticed, the opposite room got a cleaner and the person who booked the room complained about liquor smell strong from the bathroom. We were given a replacement room with double bed whereas we had booked for a single King size. We had to go with it since it was already 2hrs since we stepped in the reception and we had a long day already. The only positive which we had was the free breakfast.

Was at buffet restaurant in ground floor. Vast spread of starters, served at the plate prepared fresh. Very high standards of hospitality. After having all the starters, there was very less space left for main course and desserts. Will definitely visit again. Special mention to the manager also was making sure all our needs were taken care.

Good Hotel at an affordable price, and close to US Consulate. Rooms are clean and moderately bigger in size. However, bathroom is relatively smaller, but all basic necessities are present including hair dryer, shaving mirror. Bed is comfortable and I had a good sleep. Opted for non smoking executive room and early check in, both went smoothly. Food is tasty and buffet breakfast is good. Ola / Uber cabs are generally available in this region. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Great Hotel in Great Location. Lobby is busy always. Many business meetings and corporate stay happens here. Also people visiting US consulate also stays here. So for the reason it's like happening place. I have stayed here for three days for US Visa Interview. It was a pleasant stay and more importantly you will get easy conveyance options to VAC and Consulate of US.

A very good place in the heart of the city. Great food, ambience. Two wheeler parking is alone a trouble as you have go to the back side via the side road and walk all the distance.

It's just a home away from home. Good hospitality. Been using this hotel and their other properties over a decade and half. Good breakfast, lunch, dinner Spacious rooms. Spacious wash room. Laundry, etc… No regret for first timers. For sure.

Affected badly by cyclone vardah, I checked into savera by evening 9pm. It took some time for registration and I took executive room and it was okay. No that spacious but was a suite room. Heard once it was the favourite hotel of MGR, SIVAJI, Rajni and Dharmendra. So it was probably built in 60's and that could be the reason for comparatively smaller room size… complimentary breakfast is lavish with Indian, chinese and continental cuisine… hotel also provides gym, swimming pool, spa and beauty parlour and souvenir shopping. Reception staff needs to be refined … for the hefty payment Savera could make it more better… overall satisfied but can't say great.

I am writing this review on behalf of my close friend who happens to be legally blind and has the most unfortunate luck of having to choose to stay at Savera Hotel on 16th August 2016. Until now I have just heard rumours about how Hotels treat guests who have booked their room through aggregators as Second class citizens but this incident at Savera just blew my mind away. On the day of the check in my friend requested Ms. Sindhu who was the front desk executive to assist him with filling up the register which is the hotels formality but Ms. Sindhu just refused to help him and insisted that fills up the register on his own even though he has clearly communicated to them about his disability. Now comes the next shocker. My friend has ordered lunch through room service and later in the evening when he had stepped out of coffee he was approached by by one of their managers who informed him that he needs to clear the room service bill. My friend requested Mr. Javid to take his credit card and black an amount so it could be utilized over the course of his stay. But at this time the hotel management told that such a thing would not be necessary and he could clear the room service bills during check out. On the same night at 1 AM a person names Mr. Javid claiming to me one of their managers comes to the room and wakes up my friend and tells him he needs to clear the bill immediately.

Amazing hotel, tasty food, good customer service. A tad pricey but still worth it.

I had the most expensive room there and it was clean luxurious decoration good amenities plenty resturants and facilities I would five them 5 stars but the room service is very bad I asked for extra blanket they ignored me for 3 hours then they brought a wet blanket cover. I asked for and electricity adapter they told me to wait its on the way and still did not get it untill naw. The front disc was great but they need to fix what ever is wrong with the room service.

After a hectic and the long day our boss throws a party here. And we had a really great time. The place is ambience food is great and the most important thing the live music. It was a great evening.

Had been to the restaurant in 11th floor with open to sky seating very scenic view of Chennai. Food is good, sprits are served. Good place for dinner. Dinner for two would cost 1500rs with drinks. Valet parking available.

Cheap tactics form the management to charge customers, worst experience ever. Please stay away from this Hotel. Sorry state of amenities and so are the staff at the front desk. If they come to know that if any of the customers are international travelers that's it, they would try all tactics to suck money out of you.

Very Very rude staff at the front desk. They did not want to treat customers as customers. If you are waiting to ask them a question or some info, they don't even address you well. You are treated like as if they are providing a free service. Towels were not provided properly. You have to call 5 times to the house keeping to get just one towel. The staff at the security in the front were really welcoming.

I was invited for a birthday party of my friend's baby. I entered it with no expectations because it is just a party but after entering it, it was so pleasant, beautiful decorations, and the light decors was very good. I really loved it. Delicious foods, superb furnitures.

Great hotel! I visited this hotel last week. The ambience is extraordinary and also great service.

Booked in room with leaking tap, shower toilet, duvet cover old and with holes. Second night, beds appeared on corridors. Ask management to change room, quick respond and we get move different floor and better room. Lobby is cleaned and feel nice for 4 stars rating. SShould never booked us in that off.

An amazing experience at hotel savers, I don't know why some reviews are bad, even though I just stayed there for a day, the service was good. The rooms were very nice as well. I booked a standard room and was quite impressed. I went there with my girlfriend and other frienss and unlike other hotels, the staff didn't have any problem with a girl being in the same room. Its a hotel in chennai where they allow unmarried couples as well. All in all, a good experience. :).

This Hotel is old, stuffy wet and stinks. My so-called Business Suite was a abgeteilter room without Windows with old dirty furniture. The bed with dirty bed sheets and an old dirty rug. The air conditioning is too loud. For this price, there are better and nicer Hotels in Chennai. The staff was very friendly.
