Review of Hotel Mars 3*

Hello, My brother booked for one night stay at Hotel Mars Deluxe, Chennai His flight was reaching Chennai at around 11pm in the night. Also, the hotel package offered free airport pick up and drop. Therefore, he called up the hotel guys in the evening itself, at around 6pm, and informed them about his arrival and also placed request for airport pick up. But when he reached Chennai at 11pm and called up the hotel guys, they had made no arrangements for the pick up. He had to take a cab and go to the hotel on his own. As if that wasn't enough, on reachin the hotel, he was informed that there were no rooms available. Despite him calling them up earlier and informing them that he would be reaching Chennai at 11pm, they still didn't keep the room reserved for him. Thereafter, they took him to one of their other property called 'Hotel Mars Classic' (which I doubt is even listed in Goibibo). Even at this property, there were no rooms available intially. Then they finally showed a room, which was just not worth the price. When he raised issue on this treatment, the hotel guys had the audacity to tell him to raise any complaint against them and that they will take care of it. That we could even file a case against them and still they would manage. Such a brash attitude is something highly uncalled for. And all this happening at midnight! This incident is utterly shocking and the kind of treatment meted out to him is simply unfair. Being a south-indian, who could converse in the local dialect, he could somehow at least manage this situation. I shudder to think of any other person managing such a situation. I am typing this review at 12:20am in the night. You can see how much of a hassle all this is.
