This is a grand place. Inside out, it feels like a palace. We've dined here few times and every time the experience was wonderful. They have few numbers of restaurants for different culinary. Their Madras restaurant is multi cuisine and having widest variety of menu. The buffet in there is awesome with great foods. Although I personally think few Indian cuisines are not up to the mark and may satisfy foreign taste buds but definitely not Indian ones. Being a top grade luxury hotel, Grand Chola is super expensive but you must go there if you can afford.

Best hotel in Chennai. Be ready to shell out some heavy bucks though, because it also happens to be one of the swankiest. You can be sure of excellent service and comfort and it also houses some of the best restaurants in Chennai. It also boasts multiple banquet halls for any sort of a party, wedding or an event. They might charge a bomb, but you'll be sure to get your money's worth.

Stayed at this exquisite hotel for 10 days while on a long business trip. This hotel is beautiful, very clean, and has excellent staff. The room was great, as was the air conditioning which is important as Chennai is very hot. Every restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was huge. I loved my stay here. Be sure to try the South Indian coffee!

Words cannot describe. When we see from outside it looks normal 5star only but when u go inside hotel u will not believe how beautiful it is. All the facilities available. Good place for photo lovers. Food will be awesome. Must visit :-)

Great place to stay! Extravagant architecture and staff. Everyone is pleasant and very helpful. Staying in a single bed apartment room with great appliances to store, cook or warm up food. Great selection of restaurants to choose from as well! Highly recommend this place.

Once inside the hotel is excellent. Amazing staff, superb service. Well maintained as per the standards. Staff always has a smile, support is beyond expectations. Food is outstanding. It was a comfortable stay for the group. Would recommend some more groups here.

It is indeed a beautiful hotel. I rather mention it to be a palace. The ambience was great, the rooms are great as well. The staff were helpful, courteous and informative. All these would be quite common for a hotel of this stature. However, the experience one gets upon is more important. It sometimes not just about the money which is buying you the luxury. Rather, it is the experience that leaves in awe of it all. This is certainly one. The cigar lounge is good. They don't have Cuban. However, they do have cigar from Dominican Republic. All said, it does define luxury.

Superb hotel restaurant, services and SPA are excellent.

A truly five star hotel in the middle of the city ; the swimming pool area on the terrace is amazing — would have preferred better maintenance. The terrace garden is beautiful. The rooms are grand and feels rich. The bathrooms are spacious. The food is great as well ; the morning breakfast buffet is not to be missed! The service is top class, feel there are just more people than required. I have stayed her few times and every time, I have had great experience. The front desk reception is warm; the entrance is grand ; just everything about this place is grand and in big scale.

One of the best hotels I have ever been to … stunning architecture, great pool. You can't take your eyes off of the staircase in the main lobby. The breakfast was also very good. Though it's a bit expensive I would suggest everyone to visit once if you are in Chennai.

Attended a conference event here. Excellent lunch and great ambience. One less star because there was no valet parking and basement area (B2) was too confusing for me to park my car. They could have added a few securities in the parking area or at least should have had directions of entry, lift lobby and exit. Very poor. Planning in this aspect from such a prestigious hotel.

The Seevicio corresponds to a 5 stars in India. Nice and personalized treatment. Puscina. The buffet breakfast has both Asian and Western products. It is very spacious, with large halls and stairs. In the room and bathroom is available DDE everything you need. Good restaurants, cafes, boutiques…

Loved the place. It's a palace with beautiful Architecture. You can spend a lot of time by moving around the Hotel. Rooms are also very good. You can control everything through a tab including lights, music, TV, Doors, Cameras, Services, etc. I even liked the food that we ordered. I will always prefer this if I am in Chennai.

We went for for group dinner there. The buffet spread was awesome. One of the best you will find in town. The beer available was all international & suited our taste. The staff was very courteous. Thank you.

Very beautiful hotel. The house keeping staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of restaurants in the hotel. The remainder of staff however are unfriendly, unhelpful and apathetic. The staff present at breakfast are generally rude and unhelpful with a don't care attitude. It is a buffet breakfast, but it is very difficult to walk around with waiters buzzing around and you have to get out of their way as they will not stop and let you pass. Orders will just be dropped on your table without a smile or word, whether you ordered it or not. Dismal service. There is also a North Indian-South Indian squabble going on that is very apparent between staff.

Excellent place with ample space for dining… Excellent menus with great hospitality. Must try Hotel in City. Beside everything the cleanliness maintained by the hotel staff is awesome. Quality of the food is a key highlight. They have many options for both veg and non veg, particularly for veg when compared to other hotels the options is in wide range.

Exceptionally large rooms and equipped with everything. The breakfast could be better though still of a good standard. Satisfactory restaurants. The spa is a little bit small but still cozy. Only downside the sauna broken!

Great place for stay or in our case a staycation. We also did the whole body Spa and head massage. It was a great two days. Start the day with some gym to work up an appointment. The head for breakfast which had a spread which was huge and you end up filling yourself. Then laze around the pool or plan a Spa session to relax yourself. Then go a for evening excursion to the beach or market.

A grand hotel with an impressive decor. The grand staircase greets you as you enter the lobby. The hotel boasts several restaurants all supplying typical Indian food. The appetisers supplied in the buffet are a nice touch but leave yourself room for the large selection of local food. There is a gym/spa on-site. The Spa offers a large selection of massage and beauty services. The hotel is located around 15/20 minutes from Chennai airport. Typically this hotel attracts families and business types. A great location for whatever you plan to do during your stay. Service as often found in India is simply the best. They work hard to impress.

Was confused between four and five stars. Gave five in the end. A truly grand hotel. Courteous staff and great food. The Cheroot Lounge is good too. My room was not perfectly cleaned on arrival. The table was a bit dirty and there was spider web on the table lamp. Though they made it perfect after calling housekeeping and left a welcoming note with a rose. Probably, it was not used for a while.

It might be a little expensive, but it's totally worth it. I have stayed here for 3 days, it's in the heart of chennai, easily accessible by road and is a good place for tourist to stay and for business gatherings. The food is also good and healthy. The service is good and everyone is really helpful, especially the staffs. The rooms are well maintained, with hot water, coffee maker, fridge etc. The room service is also extremely good. The hotel has a good security system too, complete with gym and swimming pools. There is a SPA and bar. In short, it's one of the best 5 star hotels in India.

Best hotel in India so far. One needs to go around to have a holistic view of this spectacular beauty. This is stylish, elegant and modern hotel. There are lots of options for food. Great fitness centre. WOW experience.

Great place. Excellent ambience. The dinner buffet in Madras Pavilion was goof. The spread was excellent. However, still felt that it was a little pricey. May be a definite recommend at 20% lesser price.

It started out as the best hotel in south India, and is still good, but somewhere I see the Grand Chola losing its charm. I stayed in room 2105 in which an electricity plug didn't work. Unexpected. Buffet lunch and dinner quality and spread is amazing, but the taste of many food items is average. Its location is good, between the airport and city centre. And it's very good for holding conferences.

Formerly a Palace, this Central is very modern and welcoming. This is the most chic hotel in Chennai. The rooms are very luxous. You have everything in your room. These are the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The hotel offers 17 restaurants with dishes as varied as others. I was very impressed by the exellent reception and the sevice always available. The staff is very professional. You never regret coming to ITC CHOLA GRAND HOTEL.

What an amazing experience from door to door. Beautiful ambiance, Impressive entrance, tall walls. Very well thought and tastfuly created art. Good staff. Every good banquet space. Great food with chef's coming and interacting with you. Spacious rooms.

The hotel is amazing. The rooms are spacious for the price. The cost also includes an extravagant breakfast buffet. The hotel really caters to Westerners but even locals enjoy the food here. They have several restaurants all of which provide different cuisines. I would stay here every time I come to Chennai on business trips.

A very nice hotel, well presented & clean. Staff are willing to assist at every turn and very friendly, well spoken. Plenty of restaurants within the hotel. The rooms are kept fresh and stylish. A big plus is the universal power points. No drama if you forget your travel plugs. Will only stay at ITC Grand Chola when visiting Chennai.

Absolute class experience. Apart from the grandeur infrastructure the key element of ITC Chola experience is its staff members. Every one of them is very polite and serves to satisfy you. They take extra effort to give you the best experience. The hotel's features are as what you'd expect. There might be some on and off days as I've heard bad experiences from people I know too. In general I've had really pleasurable experience. The dining experience at Madras pavilion is also great. They even surprised me with a wedding cake on my wedding which was a very nice thing to do. You feel like a royal guest! The rooms are great, the hotel is huge and royal. The staff is extremely pleasant and courteous. The best food I've ever tasted in a star hotel. Life time experience.

The ITC Grand Chola in Chennai is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in or seen. It far surpasses anything I have ever seen in the United States. The staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help you with anything. The food in their restaurants is amazing. The flowers in the lobby and everywhere throughout the hotel are refreshed daily and always make the place smell beautiful. The decorations and general hotel architecture is beautiful with marble everywhere. On top of that, the hotel received LEED Platinum certification in 2012, which probably where they get the phrase "Responsible Luxury" from. The rooms are nice and well attended. Everything in the rooms is automated and new. It is a hotel I would recommend to anyone.

Great hotel with warm staff. If you come expecting perfection, you will be a bit disappointed. It has beautiful marble, flowers, and well dressed staff. The details are sometimes missed… faucets are installed slightly askew, buffet food sometimes cold, eager but slow service. This would not be noticeable if you were in a "normal" hotel but when in such a high end resort you might be expecting more. If you enjoy the beauty, relax patiently, and decide not to let these things bother you, you will have a wonderful stay.

Good place to Hangout. The Restaurants are often booked fully. Need to book in advance for seats and foods are not that much costly as you think. A place you must visit and enjoy the ambiance& other services. Have all types for drinks in Bar.

It is an experience out of this world. You feel like royalty not only because of the space, but also because that is the way you are treated. The service is amazing, the food delicious and the rooms incredible!

What can I say about this place. Amazing stay experience. Super friendly staff. You get overwhelmed with their service. Amazingly lavish buffets across all cuisines if you crave for some. Love single malt choices in this place.

What a classy place. It may be expensive but the presidential suite is one hell of an experience. The technological possibilities is unimaginable. And it is truly a romantic experience. The buffet in the restaurant has very good food with a wide choice. The dessert options are mouth watering. Must go!

Very safe, restaurant service seemed to lack the attention you would expect from 5 star hotel, iPad automation in room was very nice. Restaurant selection was good. Pan Fusion restaurant almost had too many food choices… went with chef selection for dinner. High end liquor seemed hard to find in hotel. Breakfast selection was awesome… get yourself a Dosa. Rooms very spacious and clean. 2 different bars to choose from, but don't open until after 5pm.

We went only to the bar to hangout for the evening. They said they had unlimited drinks for a flat rate and music for the evening. However, after we got in, we found that the "unlimited drinks" did not include cocktails. None at all. Should've mentioned it at the door, shouldn't they? And the music was extremely loud. So, we ended up being holed up in the smoking area. Worst part was when they showed is the drinks actually included in the "offer. " They were all pretty much mediocre brands, but from the flourish with which they displayed them, you'd think they were 100 year brews.

Luxury hotel, marble up on the walls… luxury luxury and more luxury you won't believe these in India.

Good interiors and good amenities inside the hotel. The security guards are not so well trained as client friendly. Pan Asian and Peshawari provide few good delicacy.

One of the best Hotels in India. Absolutely loved the grand architecture. It's a treat roaming in the corridors! Majestic interiors. Very spacious. The collection of restaurants is nice. Had a bit of a let down at the Asian restaurant but the staff was very courteous and ready to make amends.

One of the best properties to stay in chennai. Located centrally, this hotel is best for business, leisure travel. The food is excellent, have variety of South Indian delicacy. Most of the time there are VVIP guests stay in the hotel, with lot of special protection security and guards but it never effects other guests, all are treated well by everyone.

Nice hotel with good polite staff welcoming nicely, enjoyed a good food that reflects typical tamilnadu south masala. Rooms are well maintained, good room service also by housekeeping team. Peacefully place and hotel.

The best creation of ethinic indian hotel. Its The Heritage Property. No words to express. Recently Japanese Prince stayed here. All big delegates stay here.

This hotel scores 5 stars for architecture, Pomp and Circumstance, but an absolute zero for management, sensibility and maintenance. I was kept from returning to my room for over 1/2 hour by a faulty key (card lock) whilst my colleagues awaited my arrival in the lobby. The focus of the staff was to determine why the key would not work, opposed to simply opening the door with a master key or back-up metal key (which they finally did after I began to loose my temper over it). This is not the first occasion of technology failure that I've suffered at this hotel, and each failure has been met with the same lack of regard for the customer's inconvenience. Possibly the hotel can recruit some staff with greater amounts of common sense. Mind you, in the restaurants they sure clear the plates from the table quickly; usually before I've completely finished eating. Tunnel vision, I believe is the appropriate terminology.

Been there many times for banquet functions and its a grand hotel with good service and excellent food. They restaurants though pricey are nice for a special occasion. The Cheeroot Bar & Cigar Lounge is something unique and is a must visit when at the Hotel.

Incredible hotel, fabulous service and most hospitable staff! The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel as a whole is beautiful, literally it's like staying in a palace. Excellent restaurant choices as well! I was there for two weeks and felt like each staff member took time to know me! I would go back again and I would absolutely recommend this place!

One of the most luxurious hotels I have experienced. The ambiance is incredible, however a bit too expansive at times, if that makes sense. The decor is wonderful, there were people taking photos around every corner, although that is not uncommon with Indians anyway :) Cheroot cigar bar is great, with terrific service. Ottimo (Italian) is delicious, but very pricey, especially so for Chennai. The Madras Pavilion buffet is ok, lots of options, but a bit of an odd take on some international options. Late night service at the cafe near Pavilion is adequate. Cannot wait to return!
