We had a team lunch out here and the buffet is good but not superb compare to other star hotel. I felt both veg and non-veg starters are less. But good spread in main course side and dessert too. Shrimp is not there for any of menus. Little disappointment and spices are less in the food, It could be nice If you guys add bit spices. By Prabhu (04/09/2018)

Very average food. We went for a get together of my friends. We selected the buffet lunch at their "Spice" restaurant. We were told that they would serve starters at the table, but we had tough time in getting those limited items. Not enough servers to take care of the people. Main course: very limited options. Nothing to write about. Just average in taste. Will never go back.

Good Property. Spacious rooms and very close to airport so I can avoid all Chennai local traffic. Overall a wonderful property. Why 1 star less because, being a decent property breakfast spear has limited options. Very courteous staff.

Had a great experience. Mr. Raj, the person in charge of reservations was very accommodating and let us check in at 7am instead of the usual 12pm. Very clean rooms, good bar and restaurant. Overall a great experience for a day in Chennai!

Rooms are nice and comfortable. Service is excellent. Back side view apart from scrapyard is very nice. Rooftop swimming pool is very nice. Very compact hotel yet spacious. Breakfast has lot of varieties.
Overall it is a nice place.

Good hotel. Near airport, fast check in and check out. Room was spacious and neat. Breakfast buffet starts at 7 and had a neat spread. My only concern. Rooms need more bright lighting. Day is ok u can always open the blinds. But at night I want to work but even after turning all lights, room was dull.

Well when I stayed here… I really liked the breakfast as I was able to try continental stuffs (most of items in the buffet spread). And the room was like really good in terms of the artistic wood works and furnitures… One downside would be the items served in room service… We'll there wasn't much of a choice, especially when you want to have dinner… Again too much of continental concentration.

Well located. Nice rooms and interiors. Part Halls are very tastefully done. Friendly staff. Food is exquisite. Must try the chettinad and north Indian non veg options.

Very good ambience. Good security. U need the access card to navigate to most places, especially lifts. Rooms with a good view of Chennai. A warm feeling in the rooms.

This Four star hotel have a spacious room but internet speed is not fast. Foods in restaurant are various and delicious. Best point this hotel is they have swimming pool on top floor.

I have been to their restaurant and bar for few times now. Lunch in the restaurant is good. Mostly, the spices are authentic South Indian, one would like to enjoy. The vegetarian options they provide are also very good. When I went there last week for a lunch, they had a buttermilk pot, and "Paanakam" pot, which are traditional Tamil Nadu summer drinks. I liked their cognizance to the weather. Service is above average, and sometimes you will have to remind more than once on something you requested.

Once inside the hotel is excellent. Amazing staff, superb service. Well maintained as per the standards. Staff always has a smile, support is beyond expectations. Food is outstanding. It was a comfortable stay for the group. Would recommend some more groups here.

I really like the location of this hotel. Easily accessible to most of places in Chennai. The hotel is just on the main road. Added advantage. Rooms are good and well maintained. But room service are poor. Aadministration should work on the same.

I have stayed in hablis several times for both official and personal trips. I am taking some time to launch a review after several visits.

Hablis is a very fine hotel with excellent hospitality and high quality rooms. The staff is very endearing and are always helpful. The hotel is as good as Radisson for a lesser cost. Their swimming pool area is very chic with a view of the city that's pretty. Do stay while in Chennai.

It has been one of the best hotels that I have stayed in my life. Rooms are very good and cleaned on a regular basis. Staff are good, humble and courteous. Breakfast is awesome. Worth.

I had my wedding reception at hablis and just loved the arrangements. Hablis banquet manager Mr. Bala was really friendly and took utmost care of all the guests. All our guests loved the food. Would definitely recommend Hablis for any family function! One suggestion for them though would be to have a bigger stage in the banquet hall.

Lovely hotel, close to Meenambakam (Chennai) airport. So, location is really good. Staff members are well behaved and friendly. Rooms are nice with all facilities. Above all the breakfast is superb. Hence this hotel, Hablis deserves a very strong recommendation.

Very Good service. It's look like a five star hotel but it's not. One thing I like this hotel very much is it's food. Once I had a buffet with my friend, it's cheap and plenty of varieties were there. Especially chicken item is awesome. It is mouth watering moment for me. I didnt know which one should be left off, which one should I eat. The dinning area is romantic and really you will enjoy it's ambience. It's really a posh area. Atleast once we need to visit this place. All the best Hablis.

Not looking like a 5 star. Lobby looks very functional. The restaurants are again looking basic. Service is very ordinary. The location is prime. Bit, clean and neat. Helpful staff.

Very good staff and amazing breakfast. Housekeeping team needs more training. It seems bathroom towels are many years old. Need focus on maintaining cleanliness. If they fix these small issues… I am sure this hotel will be one of best hotels to stay in Chennai.

My experience with Hablis is Awesome. All the staff extended full cooperation on the floor. Arrangements for wedding Reception and dinner at Hablis on 3.12.17 were appreciated by my friends and relatives. My special thanks to Mr Balamurugan BQ Manager for all support extended on behalf of hotel. Food was very good liked by all and worth to its price. Thank you Hablis.

A brilliant Hotel to go with. Very Polite staffs and excellent service. We did conduct an one day Workshop there at HABLIS. Satisfied to the fullest. Would definitely recommend. Would love to have future sessions with them.

Pros — Good Dinner spread, Average B'fast, Comfortable room. No smoking (Good for non smokers) Cons — No smoking rooms (Not so good for Smokers), old shower heads in the bathroom. Overall — Comfortable and worth staying.

Nice hotel, have conducted a get to gather party, party hall is spacious could accommodate 200 people in theatrical style seating. There is separate hall for buffet. Very cooperative staffs. The food items and taste is awesome taste.

Decent hotel with reasonable prices. Good for small to medium sized gatherings. Prime location with good connectivity to Airport, Railway Station and Metro.

Went for lunch buffet. They have great many items available for lunch buffet. And the price is not too much compared to other 5 star hotels. Their service staff were polite and courteous. Great ambience. Vegetarian starters were ok in taste but main course is awesome. Desserts are a little blunt to my taste. But overall its worth a visit. Totally satisfied.

Hotel is well maintained and close to the airport. We stayed in Suite room and it was amazing. It was a very clean and calm suite. Swimming pool was only okay as construction work is ongoing. Breakfast options were vast however ambience of the breakfast room was quite average. All in all it was a great stay given the price and I would visit again when back to Chennai.

The ambience and service was good altogether @The Moon & Sixpence. Best place to hangout with your friends. Bit costly and the place deserved for what you're paying. The food quality doesn't seem to be great it was good. Worth going.!

We were there for 1 night. The rooms were spacious and well kept. The breakfast spread was good with a mix of continental and indian food. Unfortunately the hotel was under renovation hence the rooftop pool side bar was closed as well as the gym. Also there was drilling noise that the irritating.

I have been here several times for breakfast buffet. It was quite good before. But lately they have reduced the menus. Service was really good. Ambience 4/5

Good service, awesome breakfast spread and perfect roof top swimming pool. Facilities are well thought of and attention to detail is good, such as toiletries. Staff is polite. Pricey but worth it.

IELTS exams takes place here. Listening, writing, reading tests will be conducted in this hotel. It's in the midst of the city. A great hotel with great culture. Good in terms of luxury. Though I haven't checked into this hotel for residence, I witnessed the banquet halls, lobby, amenities etc.

We reached the hotel late at night and were very hungry. The staff here helped by serving us food in the odd hours too. And I must say that the food was delicious! Our stay was limited as we had to catch an early morning flight so the little time we spent here was a nice experience.

Very justito in general for a 5 star. Although the rooms are very cozy the smell of humidity and the lack of cleanliness is noticeable. The food is pretty good. Amazing that in summer do not allow access to the bar in shorts.

Pathetic service. We had booked a room for honeymoon & had requested for decorations before hand. They took one hour to check us in. No water in the room for drinking. Manager was rude and uncooperative. I strongly suggest everybody to stay away from this hotel. We have better options, don't we?

Rooms were comfortable and food was good. Complimentary breakfast was good but a bit crowded and the service was slow when you order dosas. Room cost was less when compared to other 5 star hotels nearby. View from the room is bad with one side offering road view and the other a junkyard area which is behind the hotel. Terrace has a restaurant and an infinity pool. Food offered was good both in the terrace restaurant and the one at ground floor.

Moon and six pence… Excellent setup. Comfortable chairs, good spread and nice beer cocktails. Tongue linking starter and authentic main course. In particular the irish Stew.

This would be a quick review. I was here for an outing with a friend and thus place was close by from where I stay and the pictures is what made me come here. Boy, this place is nice! The irish setting with all wooden decor, ceiling design and decently lit interior sets you for a good mood.  

Good location, value for money, rooms are good and bathroom is also very good nd the amenities given by them is of good quality, hospitality is great, two things One needs a good indoor gym and morning breakfast buffet needs a little more good menu and taste.

Rooms are spacious, well lit and clean. Bathrooms are very clean and hygienic. Has valet parking and is centrally located. Close to the airport as well at Phoenix Marketcity. The food in the restaurant is okay. It could be better. And same goes for the bar: Moon and Six Pence. Although it usually has live music and they have tried to make it a bit unique from others.

Ladies Heel Hazard! Went to a 5 star hotel (as per #bookingdotcom) flaunting stilettos for a Saturday night. Didn't want to risk walking down the slanted passage to the parking way specially when the out gate was on the other side. So decided to wait there while Ushaman gets the bike. But the security came rushing to stop him and said bikes have to go out by the in gate and then in a very loud unacceptable voice with hand movements asked me to walk down the groovy slanted passage. We tried to be polite and explained them that I can fall down on the slippery way down but they said it's their rule that bikes have to go out the in way. Well it's a 5 star place with 6 lines of taxes. So I guess their treatment is inversely proportional to their stars and taxes. Cool and gracious. :) Ladies in chennai either go in car if u love ur heels or be ready to face the adventure if u choose hablis and be a laughing stock when u struggle ur way down :D. Just a disclaimer we are perfect visitors and this is our 'n' th and last time there.

Wonderful roof top bar and restaurant but little expensive… Really a great place I enjoyed it.

Very poor overall experience at Hablife The spice restaurant. Went for dinner. One of us took buffet and the rest of us ordered. First, for buffet they brought a bunch of starters to the table and when asked what the item was, the server (server-1) had no clue. He randomly guessed chicken. It was fish. We asked for hot water (server-2) to drink at the start and didn't get any hot water till after 45 minutes (that too only cause a manager asked us if we needed anything). They (server-3) randomly brought roti to the table (as part of the buffet) and it got cold because the person choosing buffet had just started on starters. They need to know when to bring these things. Next, the items ordered took around 30-40 minutes including the starter. What's the point of ordering a starter if it comes with our dinner? Food was extremely tasty though which is why they get 1 star from me. Lastly we asked for finger bowl and server-2 said they don't serve finger bowls while server-3 said they can bring finger bowls. They had an argument and we waited for 15 minutes then we got frustrated and asked for the check. The check had automatically deducted service charge. Service charge is only added in the hopes that the restaurant provided good service. So since we didn't get that, we asked server-2 to take it off. He said it's part of government charges… Seriously dude? Go learn what you are charging people for. Overall very bad experience at a supposed 5 star hotel.

I was there for my IELTS exam. Seems like a neat and we'll maintained hotel. Plus it's very near to Guindy local station.

One of worst category seems like 3rd class hotel, services and facilities were bad, switch were nt proper and much, dnt expect privacy coz the spa manager peeps nw and then while taking spa Please. Choose some other rather wasting your money here.

Not the best place I've stayed so far. The staff here need to be a little humble. Asking for the credit card information at checkin is really weird. That apart, room is okayish, pool is good. The Moon and The Sixpence is amazing!

Stayed here sometime back. The rooms were good. But the service was horrible. Specially the bar manager was very rude.

Loved Everything! Best designs, best service, best culinary, best ambience. Overall my darling's b'day was celebrated in such a way that he will remember that day forever. Just loved our stay at Hablis. Can't wait to stay there again!

Had one of the Worst experience. If not known already, couldn't have imagine ever about it's 5 star rating. Food was also very bad. Management was too poor.

Had bad experience Not good for corporate lunch. This is the feedback from my team. We were exploited by the hotel management. Facilities also not up to the mark. Very poor serving. Totally waste of money. I can give 30 out of 100. Really we didn't expect this from Hablis. So those who want to book this hotel can think thrice.

Feedback on the service meted out during a team retreat As with most, I resort to writing reviews only if it is real bad. Anyways here is my experience with the Hablis Hotel's accounting and service staff that were involved in organizing a corporate team event for a group of 72 people in one of the hotel's Lower level banquet halls. Our preference for an annual team retreat was for a 5 star hotel within the city and our budget constraints restricted our option to Hablis, a supposedly 5 star hotel in Guindy. We had planned for a 5-6 hrs event that included Lunch and starters. The team had confirmed a reservation a Hablis Magnum-1 hall at a negotiated price per head for the lunch and the starters. Now here are some facts that support why Hablis should NOT be considered for any corporate or team events – a. We had indicated that the group strength would be around 75 to 80 people. Despite this, we got a hall that had a seating for 60 people and we had to accommodate the event management team too within a small floor space. At any point in time after the event had started we had atleast 7-10 people standing in the hall. The service staff didn’t have anyone to check on this and we had to request chairs atleast 3 times. b. The hall adjoining us was given for a corporate town-hall and we were separated by the typical collapsible thin wooden partition (which obviously is not sound proof! ).

Freaking… I think u know… very rude and arrogant staff… that idiot nd blah blah in bar name is srinivas. Hotel mgr should teach his staff.

Had the Opportunity to stay at the Hotel. Definitely, a comfortable hotel with lovely ambience. Wide spread of tasty Buffet meals. Excellent service and very polite, helpful staff. Lovely experience. Anil Johri.

First stay ; one year old and it looks new inside and in room — R420 by hired car from Chennai airport to here Roof top exercise and infinity pool For landing at 3am, you can be in hotel in 15mins and showered and in bed in an hour. Staff is very polite and attentive.

Nice Irish pub. Might be the best in Indian reality :). The bad point — quite expensive. The good point — good quality live performances. So check their Facebook. "The Moon and Sixpence".

A) No one knows where this hotel is so you will have a tough time locating this property! b) staff is pathetic, arrogant and rude. c) I would have missed my flight as the front desk manager Mr Deepak, told me that he will not book a CAB for me at 4.20am (though he had assured me at night that the CAB will be ready and waiting for me at 4.30am), he forced me to spend 1000 rs for the hotel car (i would have reached in 150 in any CAB as its hardly a 15 minutes ride) d) There is no gym, no swimming pool, no spa, nothing in the hotel, service is also zilch! Arrogant and rude staff! Actually the manager forgot to book the cab, this is how the front office staff is at this hotel.

One of the best hotels in Chennai. I stayed for 3 days and the service was one of the best. Mr. Mohan Raj was very helpful during my visit.

HABLIS is a fairly new hotel and they seem to hit it at the right spots. Proximity to airport is a big plus. Nice rooms with nice interior. The Moon and Six Pence has nice ambiance and feel but music was lacking. Staff is very helpful and service is great. If they could add a pool and roof top sittings. It could become one of the best hotels around in this budget.
