Hotel Royal Residency is the best place where I ever visited. One must stay there & roam whole Gangtok. I must have to visit again.

Service is very good and nature of staff especially Mr Sanjay Kumar Singh is very polite and kind. We are very happy wirh his service. I recommand this place to stay. Thank You Mr Sanjay.

Good hotel for stay staff is also very calm and well manner but there have only veg food and that also not so good some dishesh are good.

Best room for the price in Gangtok. And its is also near to M. G. Marg. Its a 100% Pure Veg. Restaurant so the Non-Vegan must go for other source for fooding.

Hotel Royal Residency is located less than a kilometer away from MG Road but due to steep slopes, walking to hotel might take about 15-20 mins and exhaust you. Another factor is the Kazi road on which it is located is somewhat deserted by around 9 pm itself. So if you are walking alone or with family, you have to be cautious. When I was walking around 10:30 pm at night with my family, one of the local lady told me this area was not so safe. At the same time however on MG Road, you will see plenty of tourists even until 11:30 pm or so. My opinion is that since a tourist spends most of the time outside the hotel and only comes to hotel for dinner and sleep, it is important that hotel should be able to serve you food even late at night. I reached hotel at around 10 pm during my first stay from 19-21 May. The kitchen closes at 10 pm. The kitchen staff provided my kids maggi which tasted well. The rooms are okay and of decent size even for a family of 4. I stayed in deluxe room from 19-21 May in room number 209 and then in super deluxe or family room from 23-25 May in room number 101. The bedsheets had small stains during my both visits. During both my stays, there was no view from window. Infact the windows would not open also. The family room was located on ground floor just behind the reception and it had small cockroaches near the bed. The room itself had black stains near skirting. The room cleaning was average. The chairs or tables were never dusted properly.

Awesome hotel, with excellent Kangchenjunga View from hotel it self. Excellent restaurant with only vegetarian food, but quality is good. Service and quality of rooms are very good. Rooms and toilets are well maintained. Bed quality and blankets are very good. Very near to ropeway, suicide view point and Sikkim Assembly bhavan. In addition to this, it is located at MG Marg, which is tourists preferred location. I recommend this hotel as value for money.

View from hotel window great. Room not clean upto the mark that is expected from deluxe category room but that is what you get of what you have paid with discount. Bit of problem faced due to hot water supply. Overall 'ok' in budget price.

Good rooms and service. The location is a great five minutes walk from M. G. Road. Prices are reasonable if you book online through sites offering discounts. Overall it was a pleasant stay at Hotel Royal Residency.

Hotel is very good service is also nice but if u want to reach m g marg u have to downstair 150 steps and upstair 150 steps. All total 300 steps in one up and down.

Very good Hotel with efficient service. Food specially is excellent and pure Vegetarian. Rooms are spacious and well arranged with comfortable wide bed and covers. You can go to M G Marg diectly from this hotel after climbing down the stairs but coming up again may be challenging for weak & elderly. This Hotel's Entrance is from Kazi Road Near Power House. After strolling and visiting M G Marg, you can take a local taxi from Nam Nang Road (which is very adjacent to M G Marg) which will drop you at the gate of Hotel saving you the ardorourous journey of climbing back si high…

Very very good hotel on M G Marg in Gangtok, although the main entrance is from upper Road Near Power House… One can go to M G Marg by climbing down many many stairs directly from Hotel's lower side but coming back through climbing up is a tough task for aged persons… Pure Vegetarian Food is much more than excellent and reasonably priced… I got this room for only 864.00 in 13th February 2018 night through Make My Trip… Though it may be costly in season.

Royal Residency is a decent hotel in Gangtok. Glimpse of mountains & M. G. Road is visible from windows. Rooms & washrooms are good & maintained. This hotel has Wi-fi which is weak slightly & also offers basic services, such as laundry, etc. Restaurant is pure veg. I don't know about the taste & quality. Staff is quick & good. Visit roof top especially in night for stunning views. M. G. Road, Market, Big Bazaar, Nyamgal Monastery, Roapway is on walk-able distance of 5 minutes. Overall decent stay at this place.

Just for the staff behaviour, I am giving them at least 1 star. Ridiculous service, no maintenance, no guest care and taking everything casually. Services are super slow and might not even get completed and you might find cockroaches.

Budget hotel with necessary ameneties. A little walk to MG Road. The best part is the Kanchanjunga view from the hotel room.

Only veg food. They made arrangements for us at their rooftop for drinks. Decent rooms. Not the best view-wise, but close to MG Marg.

Excellent Hotel, Near MG Marg Market walking distance Only 3 to 4 minutes, Royal Suite Rooms excellent, Well Furnished, All people are Very Supportive, Nd Friendly Behave, Food is Pure Veg Nd Yummy. Overall I like the hotel and Satisfied With their service.

Pathetic is the word. You could better stay in a lodge but this place is horrible n terrible. Smelling bathrooms. Yuck! If you want to pay so much for just a bed and a table fan, then please go for it. Nothing works here… Not even power plugs… so don't charge your phone here. Staff has no clarity of anything. Infact there is no staff. Just a bunch of confused people at reception. It's a terrible option for stay in Sikkim.

The hotel is a spider paradise. Was greeted by a 5 inch brown huntsmen spider in the room when I checked in. The staff hit the spider out with a broom and went back to work like nothing happened. The manager mr naik was the rudest and the most slimy person who you would meet. He lied outrightly to the travel portal I had made the booking with about my incident. Anyways, was offered another room, but came upon dead dragon flies on the dressing mirror and smaller spiders in the bathroom in the second room as well. Left the hotel immediately. Worst hotel and staff I have encountered. However a good hotel for insects.
