Very close to train station. Food at the venue is home cooked meals and taste great. Amenities are standard, and the staff were extremely courteous. Downfalls include limited restaurant choice around the area. Pros : train station proximity and staff attitude. Keep up the good job.

Great hostel, cute little courtyard garden and great location! One of the things that made this place ever better was the staff (Samar and Sunil) that were insanely warm, friendly and welcoming :) Food was amazing, hostel was clean and there is Wi-Fi access in all rooms — always a bonus! Will definitely be back next trip :)

Loved the place. The Atmosphere there was very good. Living a month there was cozy n comfortable. Welcome by Sunil and the Management and welcome taken ahead by Ameen Bhai was impressive and all the people there whether the guests or the other staff members were very friendly. Special thanks to Samar Bhai.

Ammen is one of the best people in India, so helpful always trying to make you really comfortable, I strongly recommend to stay here in Varanasi.

I have travelled from London to India and planned to visit Varanasi with family. Initially was worried about cottage and stay there because of terrible pollution. Aww it was fantastic experience at ith cottage it was very well decorated, lightening were superb. Staffs were very friendly and it was very cost effective! I loved it and will definitely recommend for everyone it's best I can see other than heritage hotel.

The place is good and quiet, away from the loudness of city. Amazing ambience and a beautifull garden to relax and chill and the manager Amin is the best and geniune guy… good hospitality.

The ITH is a quiet little place removed from the hustle and bustle of Varanasi. Its a quick 15 minute tuk-tuk ride (don't pay more than 30 rupees) to the ghats and temples, and equally close to the Buddhist sites at Sarnath. The common room makes it easy to meet fellow travelers, the rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable, like a home away from home. Sunil, Amin Rajesh and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again, and highly recommend to anybody looking for a hostel style environment in Varanasi!

Nice and cool place to chill and rest. Service is really great and helpful. We even celebrated my birthday and sharing a cake they bought for that.

The place is quiet, calm and full of positive vibes. The owner would never make you feel as a stranger. The owner and staff were easily approachable. Completely a home for peace loving person. Also, if you do not like smoke or alcohol, probably this is one of the best Hostels in Varanasi.

Excellent place, 15mins walking distance from the railway station. The dorms are spacious, brightly done and come with an attached washroom. The staff is friendly & the kitchen is accessible for fixing a quick snack anytime of the day.

A beautiful place with a well-spoken assistant and a nice landlord. The ambiance is good as well. Nice rooms and clean. No noise or disturbances. A little expensive food for Indian customers, but overall a nice experience.

Nice to stay here… though it is a new concept in India… but still well maintained and managed… service quality is excellent… food is also very good. You feel home like atmosphere here… you must try it.

The place is just awesome. The staff is also quite good. I stayed for 2 days only which is a shame… Next time i'll look forward for a longer stay. Thank so much all the staff members for taking care of me. U too V. K. Chandra (y)

We spent 1 night in female dorm. Room is clean and AC works well. Manager has extremely good hospitality. He helped me to find place to visit and allowed us to put baggage inside room even after checking out, because we had to wait till 9pm for bus for Agra. I'm sure that if you visit this place, manager will do the best to make you smile, which will be one of the best memories for Varanasi.

I went banaras on shivratri. Stayed at ITH. Really unforgettable awesome experiance. It doesn't look like a hostel but microcosm of world as I get opportunity to meet people across the world. It is safe. Calm clean and staff is very freindly. I highy reccommend to go there if u plan to visit banaras.

Namaskar. Safe and warm are the two words to describe this place. Manash, Samar, Sushila Aunty, Kishan… are the people I ll never forget. Anyone looking for home made authentic north Indian food, peace and quiet, home-like ambience, must stay here. Interconnected rooms will stop bothering you once you settle yourself in. The green patch in the front is the cherry on the cake. Thank you all of you at ITH for making my stay a memorable one. Varanasi wouldn't have been complete without ITH. Meenakkshi.

It is located very close to the varanasi junction, which is great. Amenities are very clean and hygienic. Food is also very delicious. On top of that, the hosts are very kind and sweet, willing to help the travelers out in their shoes. That was very nice. They made good suggestions for the travelers for places to visit. It was a conpletely pleasant stay in international travelers hostel.

I have the Hostel accidentally found and am extremely happy about it! It is the perfect retreat from the normal Chaos in India, particularly in a city like Varanasi. There is something of the Ghats away, near the train station, but in this case it was good — it was great to come back here to come and in the cosy lounge to relax. Everything was perfect, very fast Wi-Fi and super tasty food, and the employees were nice and helpful. On the menu is vegetarian and vegan food, which for me was optimal. Definitely recommended for all women who travel alone.

It's clean, organized and the staff are very nice. I felt that it was such a big contrast to the streets just outside of it! :D WOWO! We stayed in the tent in the garden and it was also economical. I can totally recommend it. :).

Didnt expects a hostel in Varansi to be so clean! It was very close to the Bus stop, Railway station and reasonably close to airport also. you also can get good company of a varied mix of people there.

They provide you healthy, fresh and tasty food. What we all want after returning from a tiring day a smile that energizes our mood making us feel relax, one could feel this here. You can talk share your experiences with them and have fun too. This is the best place in Varanasi and a place where you would feel the positive energy soon you step in and there your heart will smile in real! :-).

A lovely place to stay, homely, clean and peaceful. A little out of the old city, which is very good to relax after an exhausting day out there. Very different from what you find across India. Thanks to everyone who made my time there a very special experience.

Amazing family run hostel! The owner Ashish is very down to earth and extremely helpful and attentive to the needs of his guests (whether Indian or foreign). The food gets 5 stars and is some of the best home cooked Indian food I ever remember having! The place is clean, well kept, very quiet and yet walking distance to the Varanasi railway station. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone :) Looking forward to my next morning cup of masala chai in their beautiful garden…

A home away from home in Varanasi! Our first stop in India… what a delight! After travelling in South America for 5 months we have stayed in many a hostel… many a great hostel and I can honestly say that ITH exceeded all my expectations! Lovely common area and garden, really spacious dorms, hot showers, amazing food and a really welcoming staff on hand 24/7! I will be back… hopefully for Holi 2015 :)

International Travellers' Hostel is the best place we stayed in India, it is incredible and peaceful. It has good vibrations and excellent food and what is important for travellers there is Wi-Fi 24 hours a day and (attention:) ) — hot water and the menu is very nice, you can have really normal food for those who have weak stomach and cant eat too spicy and everything is fresh and you can watch it yourself if you go to the kitchen you know. And of course the garden was made with love as well in a good style that makes you feel like at home.
And the owner of the hostel and all his family are very polite, helpful and hospitable people. And they understand how to make a good quality service, similar to european quality standarts, not indian) and you know this is very good for travellers like us.
We will recommend this place to our friends and to everybody who stay in Varanasi, to everybody who like comfort, like meeting new open-minded people and looking for the new wonderful experience.
I give it 5 stars, I would give 6 if there is a possibility)
