Hotel Starline

Best location for those who are thinking to stay near Guwahati railway station. It is located in the core part of guwahati. One can find shopping malls like zudio, V2, Trends, foods options like KFC, dominoz nearby.

Average hotel with lot of flaws. Seems a lot of cost cutting has impacted the overall service. The first hotel I have seen where drinking water is not provided during meals at the restaurant. There is lot of scope for improvement in this rather old and dark hotel.

Room, service and location all the stars to them. The room was so good and clean. Service was quick and fast. The location was just 10 min away from the station and the other side of the Paltan market so you can go shopping. It was a good experience. The breakfast was nice. Everyday they serve different types of food which is good. All the things are at an affordable price.

The worst maintainance… no lights in room. In house restaurant taste was not good. I have booked the executive room but the actual room looks like a normal 500rs room. Not even having a hanger in washroom for keeping the clothes. Continuous cigarette smell.
Bedroll was not maintained well and the pillows looks like very old. Please don’t use the towels, water glasses provided by them.

Dont stay here it's worst hotel worst food and worst cooks in this hotel I stayed for 6 nights and 7 days I taught that it's a good and big hotel but I experienced my worst experience in this hotel this hotels food were serving so bad and old chicken then when I talked to the manager he said that I will serve another food when my 2nd food came it was tasting so bad I will never stay there in my life.

Starline has become my second home. Since 2002, me and my family have been staying at Starline. And my father has been staying here since 90s. I have seen Starline growing, but they have maintained their hygiene, quality of rooms, amenities like parking, Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, fast service and a good quality restaurant.
I stay and will always stay in Starline.

I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. They did not provide a heater, even though they assured me over the phone that they would. The staff was very rude; I don’t think they have received any hospitality training.
The room was also in terrible condition. The bedsheets, bathroom, TV, cupboard, etc. Were not functioning properly.
I must say it was a horrible experience, and I will never choose this hotel again.

Room No 503
Rooms are stinky. Continuously smells, several time asked for room fresher. By still smell continued.
Lick was not in order.
No Glass in room.
Linen was also not clean and doesn’t look fresh. Need to Ask several time to change.
Toiletries was also not good as only soap and small bottle shampoo was provided.
Very Old Hotel which immediately needs attention.
Location is one of the oldest and busiest market ie Paltan Bazaar.
Food was good whether taste or quantity.

I recently stayed at Hotel Starline and, overall, had a decent experience. However, there were a couple of aspects that could certainly be improved.
Firstly, the complimentary breakfast offered was quite underwhelming. The variety and quality of the food left much to be desired. The options were limited. I expected a bit more from a hotel that positions itself as a comfortable and reliable place to stay.
Secondly, the service was incredibly slow, which became quite frustrating. At the restaurant staff seemed unhurried and inattentive. Simple requests took an unnecessarily long time to be addressed.
While the hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, the slow service and lackluster breakfast experience are things that definitely need improvement. I hope these issues are addressed in the future for a better guest experience.

When we are talking to the person in reception he turned to the other side. No response for intercom and mobile phone, even after repeated calls there is answer and no call back, the worst thing is the noisy bathroom door.

I am belonging from middle class… So, I think such hotel not comfortable for us. Here I take non Ac room which rent per day 1600/ — and there are no Veg thali item… Such hotel menu I think good for wealthy person.

Previousday first time experience for this hotel bad service at room. I stay at long time at this hotel but all rooms Air condition is old virsion it not properly work at present. So I had suffer previous day full night for that service.

Good stay. Service could be quicker. Restaurant service and quality of dishes served are poor. Overall, enjoyed the stay.

Nice place to stay. It's in the main market and nearby railway station. Quite neat and clean rooms. Although food is not that good, they do not have so many options also as per potion of the food the price is quite high.

Overall… nice place to stay. Got a good room at level 4. Had to request for replacement of the bedsheet. Otherwise absolutely no hassle. Location was as per our requirement.

The hotel is located in the heart of Guwahati, 5 minutes away from railway station and 1 hour from airport. The lady receptionist is well mannered and helpful. The room was well decorated and room service good. The hotel has a restaurant and they provide free Wifi. The washroom was a disappointment as there was a drainage problem after use of hand shower and water was accumulating. The room number 506 was decent except for the washroom. The room has a mirror, LED TV, wardrobe and a window AC. Overall, a pleasant experience with my family.

Rooms are good but service is just pathetic…. If you order for lunch you’ll get it for dinner. Very less staff and responsiveness of staffs.
