Getting a room with a view of the river is worth it. It's so close you can hear the rushing water with the window open. Perfect location by the center of Selfos, quick walk to shops, grocery store, restaurants. The complimentary breakfast buffet is outstanding. Staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. Thank you for an amazing week!

Very nicely appointed hotel. The meals were the best in Iceland so far. The Head Chef personally discussed the food on the menu. Truly enjoyed our stay. When we return to Iceland, we will definitely stay at Hotel Selfoss! The video is the view from our hotel room. There is a similar view in the Riverside Restaurant!

Very nice hotel. Some things can be cleaner but I am very picky.

Staff was nice. And you should go to them and tell your room number, they will call you if Nothern Light aka Aurora is avAilable to see at tht night. Breakfast was good but everyday you will see same breakfast tht you might be bored. There are a lot of restaurant around this hotel such as domino's, kfc, etc. There is a Supermarket called 'Bonus' and some store. Don't forget to explore their neighborhood.

Nice smart mid tier hotel in Selfoss. You get basic bath/shampoo combo in the bathroom and a hairdryer. Located next to the river Ölfusá it has an on site restaurant (which I didn't try) and other food places near by including Menan Thai restaurant, domino's pizza, a burger place, yellow and Tryggvaskáli restaurant.

Very good location close to one of the exits of the city. Rooms are very clean and well equiped. Bathroom has perfect hygiene. The restaurant is nice and it has beautiful view of the river and mountain. In close location there are a few restaurants and shops. Parking is big enough. Staff are friendly, professional and speak perfect english. I highly recommend this hotel!

Rooms were nice and clean. However, we were there for a tour and they were putting 3 into a single room. Not really a problem but the king bed couldn't be separated even though they provided separate comforter. Other the hotel is at a nice location and the breakfast was really good.

Good hotel with delicious food in the restaurant. A fairly extensive breakfast buffet. Our room was a disabled room with a corresponding bathroom. Need some getting used to, but fine for a night.

Cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is complementary and they can alert guests when there is northern light sightings. Let the front desk know and they will call your room when there has been a sighting.

It's very convenient, easy to city center! Hotdogs shop, ice cream shop, supermarket near hotel by walk about 5 minutes!

Wonderful hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and many have a nice view. They have a nice dinner buffet.

Superb service, spacious clean newly furnished rooms, our room had a wonderful riverside view and comfy beds. The buffet dinner and continental breakfast were quite good with something for every taste.

Best hotel I have been to in Iceland. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

Spent 3 nights there recently in a 3 beds room. Nice hotel, well located near the major road of Southern Iceland. Nice view on the river and mountains around (if you are on the right side of the hotel of course). Rooms were spacious, furnitures simple but modern. The third bed is a joke though, and not fit for an adult. It is a transformed armchair (not even a sofa), very narrow and not flat at all. Hot water in the bathroom had the characteristic Icelandic smell, cold water was fresh and perfectly fine. The ventilation of the bathroom was down so it got a bit steamy. Free Wi-Fi was available everywhere in the hotel. The service was good, except a staff member was at a time bit grumpy and surprisingly reluctant when asked to bring hot water for the tea. Other than that the staff was very friendly and professional. Overall a good experience.

Free Wifi that doesn't need any authentication and won't disconnect time and time again, although range wasn't very good. Staff was polite, breakfast pretty good and the spa was awesome and cheap. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.
