Home away from home, lovely cosy relaxed guesthouse, very clean, good facilities and lovely touches that make the place a very comfortable place to stay, run by a wonderful family, great location, much nicer than staying in a big busy noisy hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

First night in, and the owners are wonderful! My baggage missed the connection, so I had to buy some things to ride me over. With no car, the owners offered to drive me to the local store! So great!

Such a gorgeous hostel! The common areas are beautifully maintained and kept. BONUS: theyre stocked with goodies that travellers can help themselves to or use (e. G. Bodywash & shampoo, complentary coffees & teas). The checkin process was quick and easy and the owner was unbelievably friendly and helpful — he even stocks the fridge with homemade fresh pressed juices that are FRIGGING DELICIOUS. I could not believe that we stumbled onto this gem when we were looking for a last minute place to stay!

I would highly recommend this accomodation for a number of reasons. Firstly it is centrally located and in walking distance to many places. Secondly the accomodations itself are so quaint, homey and clean. The breakfasts in the morning are simple, yet plentiful. Coffee and tea are always available and I look forward to the homemade smoothie (healthy) that is in the fridge for everyone everyday. This family run business is beyond anything I could have expected. There are bicycles free of charge for your use (beleive me there is nothing free in Iceland), and Ingo has been so helpful with us in booking excursions. You will not be disappointed with this place. Although the bathroom facilities are shared by floor, everyone has been very considerate and respectful. There is a t. V. In every room, Wi-Fi and a common living area. There are fascilities if you want to cook your own food and save money on eating out. We have absolutely loved our stay here.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Freyja Guesthouse. The people that run Freyja are absolutely wonderful! I was greeted with a smile and easily checked into the room with a little tour of the property. I stayed for 9 days and couldn't have been happier. The entire place is clean and modern. It's in a perfect location to walk to anywhere you want in central Reykjavik! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the city except Freyja now. And though the shared kitchen and bathroom were different for me (never had a shared bathroom) it was never an issue using them as other visitors were friendly and respectful of each other. Everything was spotless and cleaned daily, even during Easter.

Lovely interior design, very clean and luxurious place. Feels like home. Spacious room with comfy bed, TV and hairdryer. Mirror, wardrobe, armchairs, nice living room, amazing location and strong Wi-Fi signal. Common bathroom with free soap and shampoo of a good quality. Nice colours. Well equipped kitchen. Very tasty breakfast with smoothie, waffles, cheese and ham, peanut butter or jam. Selection of milk and juices. Sweets, tea and coffee accessible all the time. Luggage storage and check in hours on demand.

The place was really nice the staff welcomed us with a big smile and told us a lot information about the city and where to go. The rooms were really beautiful and the bathroom as well. The staff made smoothie a for the guests and served a lovely breakfast with waffles. We had a great experience with Freyja Guesthouse and highly recommend it to others who visits Reykjavik!

Stayed here for a week. The owners are very helpful and nice. You get free breakfast, espresso, juice, tea, and a smoothie. The room was nice. The bathroom was always clean. It's right in town, and has free parking. I'm not sure what more I could have wanted. I will definitely be returning!

One of the best guest houses we have stayed in our Iceland trip, both the servive and hotel facilities.

I would strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Reykjavik. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful and the room we had was lovely. The shared bathrooms are no problem at all and are kept spotless, and they're really nice bathrooms too! Great shared kitchen with everything you'd need if you want to prepare your own meals. This is also where breakfast is laid out which is a very acceptable plus there's unlimited free tea and coffee. Great loca…tion right next to Hallgrimskirkja and easy access to town centre, restaurants etc. Plenty of free on street car parking available.

Very clean and comfortable. I had a nice view of Hallgrimskirkja from my room. On a quiet street within walking distance from downtown (10 — 15 min). The airport and tour buses don't come right in front because it's on a smaller street, but there are other pickup spots within a block so it wasn't a problem. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I arrived early in the morning, before my room was ready, and I could leave my luggage in the office while I went exploring, and… when I got back, the luggage had been taken into my room. The healthy smoothie for breakfast was a nice touch (as was the cod liver oil! ). They accommodated my gluten sensitivity by getting me other foods I was able to eat. Having to share a bathroom worried me a bit, but it was never a problem during my stay — always clean and when I needed it, one was available if not on my floor then on the floor below. My room was small but it had what I needed, and the shared kitchen and living room were available to use as well. I talked to another guest who had stayed at this guesthouse several times, it is her favourite place to stay in Reykjavik. Mine now, too.

Myself and my partner stayed here recently and we absolutely loved the place. The staff were so friendly and helpful and its location was amazing. The rooms were beautiful and so clean, this place is great value for money considering they offer breakfast in the price. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it if your looking for a place in Reykjavik.

Very nice room, shared bath was clean and availible when needed, kitchen had breakdast ready, everything ok!

Really helpful friendly staff, who go out of their way to assist. Room was delightful — clean, airy, and light filled (good blinds to block out the light at night during summer when the sun never sets). We had a room downstairs right next to the shared bathroom, but could hardly hear anything outside our room. Decor has modern and antique looking pieces that blend well. Bathroom was clean and roomy. Breakfast was delicious and well catered, even if you sleep in there is plenty still available, including fresh smoothies provided daily for each guest. Laundry services would have been nice, but there is a laundromat located nearby.

Rooms were very clean and cozy. Bathroom is really nice, but it is a shared bathroom. Where we stayed there, there was only one other couple staying there at the time, so sharing it wasn't a problem for us. The shower was hot, with good water pressure. The breakfast was nice. Each day they provided a different meat and a smoothie along with bread, coffee, juice, and a few other items. Simple breakfast. But delicious and filling. The shared kitchen had cookware and a fridge with a shelf reserved for each room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And the location is within walking distance to many popular areas in Reykjavik. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely stay here again!

Great service in an upscale house. Comfortable bedding and mattress. The host always has food available in the kitchen for free (soup, cereal, bread, juice,, fruit, pastries). Coffee and tea are also available. We got a juice and snack provided every day in addition to breakfast. Fast Wi-Fi. Bikes available for rent. Each floor has its own bathroom, kitchen, and living room.

The guesthouse is very well located close to the church and the harbour. Rooms are clean and quiet and a kitchen is available.

Quiet but in the middle of everything. Design is extremely functional with a shared bath and kitchen. Loved it!

Incredibly nice proprietors and clean rooms. Quiet neighbourhood and close to everything. I thought the shared kitchen and bathroom would be a problem but I was pleasantly proven wrong as it made it more cozy, we met other travellers and so it felt like an upscale hostel! I would definitely stay again if I'm back in Reykjavik!
