Spent our wedding night in a beautiful suit at Canopy. Wonderful atmosphere, cava waiting for us on arrival and we had great breakfast in bed. Super nice staff.
Downside: groom got stuck in the elevator for half an hour on our wedding night on his way to the lobby due to elevator failure.

We have booked several excursions booked through the hotel concierge who were amazing and helpful beyond what we asked, they gave information to make our trip to Iceland spectacular.

Would stay here again. Friendly service and the cleanliness is in another level.

Prime locations for most landmarks, breakfast had a variety of options. The front desk and various other people I came into contact with were extremely helpful and knowledgeable with all things iceland.

Great design and very clean. Staff was also very hospitable. For example, breakfast was included but started at 6:30 am, and we had to leave at 6 am to catch a flight, so they made us 'to go' bags.

Great breakfast, comfy bed, and good vibes. My only regret was we didn't try the restaurant or bar. It's cool to have the consistency of a Hilton (because sometimes hotels are inconsistent) but with a twist, I loved the touch of free local bites and booze in the evenings. Made me a fan of Reyka vodka.

We loved this place! There were 9 in our group. Part of the hotel is a new building; another part is part of a renovated older building. All parts were very nice. Our room was on the 5th & highest floor & in the older part. I suggest this location. Our room overlooked a courtyard. The 1st Icelandic football game was being displayed when we checked in from a huge screen & speaker system. Between the noise of this & the no-sunset we had a heck of a time sleeping to relieve our jet lagness. :) ) This is place has a funky feel; the check-in desk is a long wood table with young employees sitting at laptops. We could sit on a stool to check-in. There is a wonderful attached restaurant. Breakfast, included, is served here. The breakfast is fantastic with many cold & hot items available. The location is right in the older area & it is easy to walk to most everything you may want to see. I highly recommend.

Over the years, I have stated many Hilton’s. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out how different this one was. The staff was kind and generous and always available. The set up was unique to any other Hilton I have ever stayed at before which made it even more comfortable. Is located in the old section Reykjavík which makes it very accessible to walk in the area and doing exploring while you are in town. The breakfast that they offer is to die for. Tons of food, unique flavors and just delicious.

We stayed here for 4 nights as a base and I can’t say enough great things about this hotel! Definitely my favorite of all our stays on our Iceland adventure. The beds are SO comfortable and you feel like you’re sleeping INSIDE a cloud! The location in Reykjavik is absolutely perfect and the staff could not be more accommodating. The breakfast buffet is outstanding — also the best breakfast we encountered on our travels in Iceland. Being steps away from Bus Stop 7 was also incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this hotel — you will not be disappointed!

We are here on a four day stay and it’s night two. I could have written this review upon check in as I already knew I loved it. Great location (steps away from No7 bus stop), chic, hip, really interesting quirky hotel. Clean, comfortable. Local food and drinks free 6-7pm each evening. Tonight we picked up a portable record player and some old vinyl from the foyer for our room. Room full of lovely things, from the dressing gowns and gorgeous orange socks to a musical bag! Gorgeous breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Lovely staff. If I have any complaint it is no aircon. I like a cold bedroom but found it a little noisy leaving the bedroom window open (we live in the middle of nowhere so are used to peace and quiet). In all I would have no reservation in recommending this hotel and will stay here again.

Do not be put off by the Hilton name! This small sized hotel is fantastic in every sense. The location is perfect, the staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful and the rooms were of a really high quality. The interior design of the hotel was excellent and had a wonderful warm yet quirky feel about it. Great gym with brand new technogym equipment and good selection at breakfast.

Very helpful and supportive staff. Especially Ryan and Abel. Since our travel agent s Sarah Gallo who recommended jack bauman to book our trip managed to make this a horrible mixed up trip. The staff at the canopy did their best to help straighten things out for us. Thank you Ryan and Abel.

Great new (opened Summer 2016) property. The first Canopy in the Hilton chain. Very inviting common areas, nice rooms, though these may be considered small by some standards. Fantastic staff.

Hands you must must stay at the Canopy Hilton! The hotel is gorgeous and chic! The food is amazing! We just loved utilizing all the great differing spaces they had to relax. They have delicious cafe snacks at any hour with a glorious coffee machine to use any hour. The best part of all was the staff! Hands down the most friendly, helpful and warm staff we have ever encountered when staying in a hotel. They had wonderful advice in assisting with tours and helps us book our tours. We felt at home and like we were staying in the most lavish hotel at the same time. Don’t hesitate book Canopy when staying in Reykjavik!

Very nice hotel. When we arrived and it was done by the reception. We searched for 5 min before we realized that it is a table with receptionist and not a table with clients who work. Room a little small but ok. Too bad there is no possibility to manage its heating in the room.

Very clean hotel, nice style. Rooms are a good size with everything you need. We had an issue with our room and they moved us without trouble. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, gym, rooftop terrace, bar, and restaurant. There is no parking with the hotel, but there is a garage across the street.

This place is awesome! Very expensive, but you really get what you pay for. Bar is fun and was quite busy when I was here, staff very friendly. The rooms were great, way better than the other Hilton in town. Only complaint is a pain to get a lot of luggage in and out of since the street it's on is small. Location is great to walk through downtown, lots of food and bars near by. Only warning of you drive a car, the parking garage across the street closes at midnight, you can leave cars overnight but don't arrive late else you have to street park a few blocks away.

Hotel is in a great location. Right next to a bus stop as well for easy drop off/pick up from the Flybus+. Nice and central so easy to walk to all the local attractions. All the staff were very friendly, like Abel at Check in. Great breakfast included in the price, so worth making sure you wake up early and fill up for the day! The one issue I had was my room was freezing cold. No evidence of any heating controls in the room, I probably missed something. Not cheap, but I hope to revisit Reykjavik at some point and this hotel will be on the short list.

This was our 4th visit to Reykjavík and our favorite hotel yet. Location is excellent for walking anywhere in city center. The breakfast buffet was excellent and afternoon wine in the restaurant lounge was a wonderful way to wind down for dinner. Staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The king suite was very spacious with a beautiful bath and a great view of the water. Definitely will stay there again.

Very warm and comfy. The people are unbelievably nice even after watching them deal with cranky tourists. The place always seems busy but remains fairly quiet and warm.

Lovely hotel, nice bar with library and open fires downstairs. Rooms were quirky and had trolls, weird but cute. Coffee bar downstairs with beer and food tasting happy hours. Close to main shops and nice area. Noise from bars outside did come into the room but cannot be helped. Beds were comfy and lots of tea and coffee. Nice slipper socks too!

My husband and I stayed just one night here at the Canopy at the end of our week long trip to Iceland. We stayed in the King suite and very much enjoyed it. The room was impeccably clean and spacious — the bathroom was huge! The bed was super comfortable after a long day of exploring the city. The check in staff were friendly, prompt and professional. The bar had a local tasting of Icelandic snack foods and craft beers the night we checked it; that was a lovely local touch. We loved the modern and eclectic furnishes, there was so much to look at. The restaurant within the hotel, Geiri Smart, was a great place to have a tasteful and modern Icelandic dinner. Super romantic. Oh, and the breakfast in the morning was the finishing touch. I wish I had two stomachs to sample all of the great breakfast foods! We definitely plan on coming back to Reykjavik soon to have a much longer stay at the Canopy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hotel but very poorly marked it took us over an hour first of driving and then walking to find the hotel. Nowhere on the hotel does it say Hilton and the word canopy is only used at one spot close to the entrance but not on the entrance in small writing on a side street. We felt like it was a nightmare trying to find, we found with someone's help on the fourth time walking by the place.

Modern decor, very nice amenities, very comfortable room. Many selections at breakfast. Convenient to everything. Parking at the public lot across the street. Good choice for last day in Iceland after spending 8 days driving around the country.

Great location. Centrally located for in-town activities. Walk or borrow a bicycle. Room was comfortable with safe, mini-fridge, coffee & tea. The bathroom even had a heated floor!

My family came to Iceland and stayed at the Canopy Hilton between March 13-17. We were so impressed by the service, cleanliness, and all around helpfulness of the entire staff. One of the Bar tenders, Martin, even went above and beyond suggesting traditional drinks and food as well as spending time with us pointing out attractions worth going off the beaten path for. We have very much so enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel again and again. It is also in close proximity to abundant shopping and within walking distance to bus depots for the various tours. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed at the Canopy for two nights in mid-November. We arrived very, very early in the morning and were well received by the front desk staff. Our room was clean and well appointed. The property is located within walking distance of pretty much anything you'd want to see in the city of Reykjavik. My only complaint is that our room was really warm and there appeared to be no way of turning down the heat.

This hotel is great. Amazing front desk staff. So nice! Spacious, clean rooms, and the hotel smells great. Comp breakfast buffet and happy hour daily. Love the caramel popcorn given at check in. Decor is great and consistent throughout the hotel, with lots of sitting areas.

Everything was spot on. The room was up to date, clean well supplied and comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievable — abundant and high quality with plenty of choices for me as a low carb preferring eater which typically isn't the case. They also have an evening tasting which is great if you can make it. Gym set up is also very good. Worth every penny.

Let me start with saying, "I travel a lot". I'm a longtime Hilton Honors Diamond member and this place has raised the bar for me now. This is a new hotel right in the middle of the action. The roads and building are still under some construction but they do everything possible to have you quickly forget this. When we arrived they checked us in very early. This is a big deal for jumping so many timezones and needing shut eye. We were upgraded I suspect because of status but also I think to adjust for the construction. This is a small part on their end that I appreciated very much. The breakfast is beyond amazing. I make a point to eat there every morning as such a spread anywhere else in Reykjavik would bleed your wallet dry. This is my favorite part of the hotel. The gym is under construction however they will drive you to the Hilton Nordica and let you use their facilities there. It is great and I have used it very little considering all the touring I've been doing. The room is immaculate and as others have said they do not skimp on anything. The beds, linens, towels, and soaps are comforting and plenty. Their 6:00pm happy hour in the bistro is also a very nice touch that teaches you a little about Icelandic culture (beverages & snacks). It's a social hour too so you can chat with others and learn about the various tours people went on which can help in making that next tour choice or place to visit. The bikes are a must try.
