I always enjoy eating at the North West Hotel Restaurant when passing by. Great food and cozy atmosphere. Definitely the best place to stop and eat on the way from Reykjavík to Akureyri!

Lovely breakfast. We checked at 3 am and the staff was friendly enough to answer our phone and checked us in. We later went back for lunch. Good portion and delicious.

Average location. Only good for an overnight stay. 'Small twin room' is extremely small. Breakfast with very few choices.

This place is absolutely fantastic. We stayed here for two nights during our winter trip around the country and we loved it. The rooms are comfortable, the food is fantastic and filling, and the staff are the kindest and most helpful people. We had a chance to talk to the owners quite a bit we felt like we were adopted by them. They told us stories about Iceland, about their lives and travels, gave us tips on where to go and what to see, and they made us some delicious Icelandic lamb soup. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I am in Iceland.

Unexpectedly delicious! We stopped here because we were starving from hours of driving. We could not have been happier with the food. Definitely worth the stop!

The food is really good, the slow cook chicken is amazing. And the burger is perfectly done! The price is reasonable and the portion is huge.

Owner was super friendly, gave us advise to drive though a different route and recommended the amazing lamb chops! Chocolate cake was also delicious. Price good for Iceland and homemade food! 100%recommended.

Food was okay atleast better than N1 but I guess that is not an high standard…
But what ruined this quick burger stop for us was the the service of the waiter…
I asked if he could bring me extra spice on my french fries which is very common question where ever you are in the world and he reacted rude and said they were already seasoned. I said yes I know thats why I said extra and he had the attitude that he cant be bothered and just said I dont know…

Food was wonderful, and reasonably priced for Iceland standards. Charming little place!

We tried restaurant, food was great, people were nice, perfect place to stop on the way and to try icelandic classic food!

Clean rooms in a simple hotel. The restaurant downstairs serves a good buffet and meals are good yet very cheap for the Icelandic standard. Good stopover in a tour around Iceland. In the northern lights months, the remoteness of the hotel allows you to see great Auroras by walking a few meters away from the front door!

Great hotel with all you need in the rooms, clean and new. Good food in the restaurant as well. Great place to stop if you come along as well as stay a night.
