One of the most remarkable hotels on our trip. The evening view of the Vatnajökull and its unique surroundings has been imprinted. The location of the hotel is very special. The hotel's restaurant is much less well remembered. This is because it is obviously too small, because if you come to the hotel at 20:00, you do not want to wait an entire hour until 21:00 until a table is finally free to be served a small cold plate of Iceland specialities. What was on the record, however, tasted very much. So only four stars.

Wing they've put us in had no heating and no hot water in shower. It was fixed only in the morning close to check-out time. Paid lots of money for 2 rooms and was offered no compensation for limited service I got (cold room, no shower). Could be a great stay otherwise.

Great service from all hotel staff. They were very kind, friendly, and helpful. I got to know some of them pretty well. Made my stay a great experience.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic views. The beds were reasonably comfortable. One of our two rooms was, however, incredibly warm even though we'd opened the window and turned off the radiator. The breakfast buffet was quite good and the staff was very nice.

Upscale suite with two walls of floor to ceiling windows and balcony to take in the fabulous breathtaking view. Quiet & comfortable bar and lounge area. Accommodating employees. Vast and varied free breakfast.

Great hotel just 10 minutes out of Hofn. Spectacular views on mountains and plains in a wonderful wild landscape (even with wild reindeer). Rooms are great and the staff were very helpful. Not cheap, but what is in Iceland!

Views from hotel is amazing. Room and bathroom is so spacious. We got a room at level 0 and it opens up to the outdoor. Will be a nice location to catch the northern lights.

Really nice room and great included breakfast with fresh fruits. Reasonably priced as well. Only negative point was that the "double bed" was just two single beds pushed together.

The room is modern and spacious. The restaurant in the hotel is fine dining style with great view, good service and tasty, worth to have a dinner.

A very remote hotel, 10-15 mins from Höfn (pronounced Hup). Nice hotel. The toilet and shower are in separate parts of the room. Very inconvenient if staying with someone who is not your partner/significant other. Also there is no movie theater here as stated by Google. The restaurant is very good but very expensive.

Food and drinks were phenomenal! Bar-tender was awesome & his drinks were so fun! Spice cake dessert also AMAZING. Staff was friendly. Room was clean but beds were quite hard.

Nice hotel and great food/ rooms. But asked for a northern lights wake up call and they said they would but didn't despite there being lots of northern lights activity between 3 and 5 that night. So was very disappointed with them for not waking us up.

Top restaurant at gourmet level. The hotel is situated in a spectacular landscape.

Very clean and modern hotel with a restaurant and bar on the first floor. Room was immaculate and even had a balcony. The property is quite remote so if you don't want to eat on-site (expensive) than be sure to bring food with you. Since it's far from everything though it is possible to see the northern lights from the parking lot. There's very little light pollution.

Location was pretty far out from the city, but we were bus shuttled everywhere whilst on a tour so that wasn't a problem for us. The rooms were fantastic, extremely comfortable, as was the breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel itself was refreshingly modern, I stayed in a twin room, quite large, good room layout. The shower was a little bit odd, as there was no bathroom only two separate rooms for a toilet and shower and the basin was in the room itself. If you aren't comfortable with your roommate, showering may be slightly awkward in one of these rooms. However, not all twin rooms are alike to this.

Rooms were relatively small, many small things that didn't work, refrigerator didn't work, bedside lamp was broken, outlets on one side of the bed didn't work at all. Were there only one night, but fine.

After staying in guesthouses and B&B’s around Iceland, this hotel seemed simply dull. It was clean and spacious, but felt like standard tourist hotel. No soul or individuality, it was a useful place to stay, but lacked in charm. The staff were polite and efficient, and the breakfast plentiful (and included waffles! ). However, the juices were not fresh and the coffee of poor quality. For the price we paid to stay, you would expect a bit more, and would be better off staying in a smaller, more private place.

Seems like a brand new hotel. Really nice rooms and staff, also a banging free breakfast. Stunning view in the morning.

Nice new hotel. Clean. Friendly staff. Great restaurant and breakfast. Breathtaking views from your room and the hotel staff will give you a wake up call if the northern lights are out and you request it. Only 15 minutes from town. Would definitely stay here again.

This was one of my favorite hotels during our trip in iceland. I even saw a reindeer throught the window.

Bad experience! They put us in extension rooms which were outdated and we had no hot water! We had to move to another room after midnight which had no working heater. This is sad because this is a nice property in a nice location but it it just mismanaged. Manager didn't agree to even provide a discount when we checked out and assumed that an apology is enough which is not acceptable for a respectable company. Last time I stay at a Foss hotel.

Modern design. Amazing breakfast. It was slightly loud during the night. But I think it was the location of our room or just rowdy guests. Would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful surroundings and views from lounge area. Has large windows for viewing glacier. Staff was great, helpful and Kasper, the bartender makes great drinks. Breakfast was one of the best I had in Iceland, and I stayed in 8 different ones. Rooms modern with heated tiled floors.

Friendly staff and great views from the breakfast and bar areas. A contemporary crisp design makes it stand out from other hotels we saw. The room was spacious and clean. Very expensive and limited dinner menu so we drove 15km to Höfn for a wider choice and cheaper prices. Wild reindeer passed the hotel on a couple of occasions.

Stayed night of May 24, 2016. On arrival the front desk was overwhelmed with a bus-load of tourists. Eventually we were checked in. We had asked for one double bed, and found 2 twin beds in the room. We asked to change rooms, instead someone came in and pushed the beds together and said that was all they could do. We were given a handicap accessible room, which we did not need nor desire. Showering got every last corner in the bathroom soaked. When checking out we asked for consideration in our bill for the room problems, but were told they would not consider. Restaurant service was poor. I'll not return to this hotel location. I will say the views were spectacular, and for that I give the hotel one star.

Pretty much brand new. Great room with heated tile floor in the bathroom. Good breakfast selection. Rooms were clean and comfortable. This was the nicest hotel we stayed at in Iceland. Triple was roomy enough for us all.

This is a very comfortable modern hotel in the middle of nowhere. It's literally so isolated that one has lovely views of the barren mountains all four sides. Come here to get away from it all. It's a little distance from Hofn.

The hotel room was very nice and very clean. There was only a radiator and it hid behind the curtain when we had it closed. It eluded us entirely until the morning so the room was very hot. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we had.

No problems, great experience.
