Nice hotel. Clean. Nice pool. Hearty breakfast. I would just complain about a lack of atmosphere (the bar could close a little later) and a location a bit far from the center. On the other hand it's quiet.

The beds are way too hard, the Wi-Fi is not working and the rooms are not clean. The cleaning service always only makes the beds but it seems like they don't sweep the floors (we always only saw the same lady). Breakfast is okay, but there could be more variety and when you come a little bit later (9am or after) there are not many things left (eg bananas, apples). The only good thing is that the man at the reception speaks german as well! And you can change money for a good deal. Thee bus station is very close as well.

Horrifying experience! Here is the story: I show up to Budapest 11:00 Pm and take a taxi to the hotel. When I arrive the doors to the hotel is locked and all the lights are off. We knocked on the door, called the hotel nothing happening (I thought the hotel is out of business or something like that). Finally after a solid 1/2 hr someone came to the door. He apologized and told us that it’s a bad neighborhood so they lock the doors at night. (We where not too thrilled to hearing that as we were waiting outside for a half an hour with all our belongings in middle of the night). This is only the beginning! The guy checked us in and gave us the key card. We went upstairs to our room put in the card in the door. We open the door and turn on the lights And a guy jumps out of bed! Screaming in some language I don’t understand! I ran downstairs to the front desk. I told him there is a guy in my room! He tells me “No it can’t be” I was ready to just leave and go to a different hotel. He offered me a different room since it was 1 in the morning after a long flight we just took the room. As a review on the room my mattresses where basically on the floor my refrigerator didn’t work. And if u use the shower the bathroom floods. When I told them my refrigerator is broken he gave me a bowl of ice.

Very clean and very comfortable hotel.

Easy to park my car in the quiet street, large room, good breakfast, location near the Heroes square and so it's true away from the Danube and the Castle.

The hotel offers a number of useful and pleasant services, from the bar to the restaurant and spa service, all in the norm but not discounted. Average rooms and buffet breakfast varied and tasty. Only pity for the dust, and some hair scattered on the floor in the room just checked, which have inevitably impacted on the overall rating. Located far from the centre but connected by bus and Metro in an easy and practical way.

Nice hotel whith clean rooms and toilett. The breakfast and polite staff. And we got in guite cheap. Rekomneded absolute.

Clean hotel with friendly staff who will open the door to you even after going out. The location is not very central, but on foot all the way fast.

The shower in the room is not a great place to actually take a long amd relaxing shower. On the TV the only possible stuff to watch is in Hungarian, also the image is not sharp. For a good night's rest you don't really need to be here either (if your neighbors are loud) … the beds are comfortable but are a bit harsh on your body when you have a auping or boxspring at home. Overall this room had a good experience because you can sleep tight when you are walking all day to sight see! Breakfast is okay when you are early, but there isn't much choice. I would recommend this place when you are out all day and want to travel on a budget. We have been in Hungary for 5 days and it cost us 700 euros (flight with KLM, 7 day BKK travel card, food, drinks and the hotel).

Large room but cleanliness could be better. Breakfast buffet offers a large selection of low-quality food. The swimming pool is fine, the Jacuzzi is a bit small but the “fitness room” is ridiculously small. Restaurant staff is very nice, reception staff… Not so much! I paid €100 per night for my stay and I am sure you can get better places for that price. I don’t understand how this hotel gets such high ratings… I definitely don’t recommend staying here unless you get a cheap offer.

-Helpful staff-massage was very good-comfort of the beds was also good-no kettle available in the room (on request there was no one could get hot water at the bar…)
-The TV program included only three channels, but I don't think it's a big break for a city trip-there is a huge minus for the cleanliness! An old hotel cloth slipper peeped out under the bed and an empty toothpaste lay under the heating in the bathroom… otherwise, there were filth and hair everywhere in the corners and in the bathroom. Cleanliness looks definitely different!
-The coffee at breakfast is really a grey-a big plus there is still for the delicious dinner and for the nice packed breakfast on the day of departure.

The Hotel would be OK, if the bathroom would not smell so horrible. The room I was in had this problem! The Hotel is a classic city hotel, with all you need on a short business trip, nothing fancy, but OK. The Breakfast is OK the special is lot of Hungarian vegetable and products and bread, very nice. The Service in the hotel is nice at well.

Very nice hotel, has pool, breakfast, very clean rooms, great view at a church, 40 min away from center by foot.

Good public. The hotel is very close to international railway station, good staff.

Staff: very friendly and competent breakfast: Plenty of choice available room: very clean, well furnished location of the hotel: CA 700-800m from the train station, however, on the route there are enough buses and stop close to the hotel (approx. 20m away) there is a Small spa area, where also massages are offered (easy to ask at the reception) is very cheap;) and has done really well!

The service was good and quite good rooms. The spa was small but good enough. The breakfast was nothing special. If you eat dinner there you can get cheaper and better food elsewhere.

Centrally located, 4 bus lines to the centre, very well maintained hotel.

It's a great hotel. Comfortable rooms, tastefully furnished bedrooms, then there is the SPA and the Wi-Fi. Good also the cuisine is the international one and the local specialties. Also, the proximity to the city center makes the hotel the ideal place for the traveler.

Rooms clean enough staff speaks only English putting in trouble those who do not know it is not better to change euros in the hotel but look in the center do not venture to take something to the bar: Espresso costs more than 2 euros do not give water or make you P Agare a bottle 3 euros more paid also the service.

Away from the center if not room well.

Good hotel located in a side street. Nice staff with good knowledge of German. The hotel has a spa area. The rooms are OK but with signs of use and the rooms are very noisy.

A bit pricey but a nice hotel for a conference in a nearby venue. Comfortable bed, ok breakfast and kind staff. Location is only good if you need to be in this area, otherwise it's a bit too far from the centre and touristic areas.

The hotel gym is a disgrace! Poor equipment and so small! Honestly it's not a gym but more a room with some lame old equipment! There was not water boiler at the room so if you want to have some coffee or tea you need to go and buy it from the bar.

It is unfriendly and the service is very bad. Toilet tubs are not suitable for showering due to weak water pressure, and there are many molds in the corner. We call a fitness room, not a swimming pool, but a small bath and a very small exercise equipment. The four-star rating is colorless, shy and uncomfortable away from the surrounding tourist attractions. It is a bad motel rather than a hotel. But the price of the accommodation seems to be a 4 star hotel. If it is the same price, find a good place.

Good hotel, economical and close to the bus stop. Equipped with a bar, a restaurant and a SPA.

If you like 70s kitch this is the place for you! Tired round the edges but generally ok … tho a refurb would make a lot of difference. The bedroom a good size and big bathroom … shame about the tiny corner shower! Quitea distance from city center and very little options to eat/drink lically. Biggest downside is the lack of aircon … it says it has it but no … when complained was told a) only works if window/doors shut b) leave swipe key in when leaving room otherwise aircon goes off Tried these 2nd day … No difference when got back in after a HOT day in the city … in fact the swipe key had been swiped! Evidently taken by housekeeping! And even with windows shut no aircon. Tried leaving the window open at night to get some 'cooler ' air but the traffic noise from nearby main road was awful! Sooo a standard 3 hotel from me … Will be mentioning this to tour company on return home. …

Situated in a reasonably quiet area close keleti railway station with local buses for. An easy ride to down town. Rooms are clean and have no wall to wall carpeting a huge plus if you have allergies. Facilities include a spa with jacuzzi and pools. It is also possible to get massage. The only downside for me was the coffee served at the breakfast buffet, it was terrible.

Great location with a nice bar as well as a swimming pool and sauna. It is located between the Schezeny thermal baths and the Budapest railway station. Breakfast is varied.

Informal and welcoming Hotel. Good value for money. Room tidy up service not fast.

Overview: A good hotel for its price. Service: Okay but less than I was expecting. We got all the help/information we needed but asking them something made us feel like they didn't want us to help. Location: Public transport was nearby and took us where we wanted to go. If you want to walk downtown or to attractions, it's a bit too far from most places. Breakfast: We enjoyed the breakfast at first but it was exactly the same every day and there was not that much varieties. Other: The room was very hot and humid. They have AC but only turn it on in summer when it's hot enough outside. We had to keep the windows open at night and and some noise outside bothered us some nights.

Great location Quiet area but well served by the means. The Hotel offers a fabulous international breakfast that is continually replenished by the staff, and all of excellent quality and Frechezza. Inside it offers the spa with swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna that allow you to relax on the return from daily tours to the city being open until 9pm. Great service of cleanliness and comfort of the beds. I will definitely go back!

Great hotel. Food is pricey, rooms comfortable, great Wi-Fi. Staff is very friendly. Bus stop reasonably close by and it's a 5 min bus ride to the main subway station (Keleti Pályaudvar). Beautiful park nearby that is walking distance.

Spa is terrible (cold pool and sauna not working properly), room was clean but cold. Wifi not working on higher floors.

Arrived on 23/06/2015, aware that we were slightly early (15.00 hours for room to be ready), only to be told that they were overbooked and had no room available for my wifes birthday break — I booked in November 2014! I enquired as to why that had not informed us and they said that they did not have my E Mail address, I then produced my 'phone and showed them a conversation I had 10 days previously asking for a room on the top floor — Various excuses were made and they arranged for us to move to the Novotel in Budapest Centre who were very welcoming and had a pleasant stay. So be aware, having a reservation booked many months before does NOT guarantee you a room!

I would not rate this hotel a four star. It's basic. Although my room is nice everything is pretty average.

I spent there three nights during my stay in Budapest. Great hotel, conscierge was super helpful. Clean, modern. You can have your breakfast outside in the garden. Stable Wi-Fi access. 50 meters away from the bus stop and 10 minutes walk from metro station.

A very good Hotel with helpful, friendly staff. The rooms are very clean, nice and modern furnishings. The Breakfast is very extensive with food that tastes any.

The breakfast staff are a distaster. They are sullen, unhelpful, surly and pretty unfriendly. Other than that the breakfast itself wasn't too bad, but pretty old fashioned and not great if you want healthy options. The front page of the web site shows croissants, but everytime I asked was told they were finished earlier. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. Reception staff were ok but the business center is often used for meetings so forget going in there to check stuff throughout much of the day. Would I stay here again. Yes, probably, but know the service is not that great. $4 for a bottle of water the normal mini bar ripoff but there is a 24h little shop around 5 minutes walk which is great. Restraurants in the area are not great and its like lower middle class upper lower class zone. Went to a Pizza place round the corner which despite being very depressing served decent food though. Internet connection speeds in the room (via cable) supplied were good but unless you bring your own cable it only streaches to the desk (I like to surf from bed sometimes). 3/5 I give Lions Garden.
