No way a 3 stars hotel! The bath smelled like public toilet and the furniture, carpet, TV etc were ancient trash! In reality looks even worse…! Also the elevator is not working — great news for those who will get a room at 3rd floor& good luck with the bags!

Impression — the hotel was stuck in the 80s of the last century. Old furniture, creepy locks on the doors, keys with heavy metal keychains, Wi-Fi declared, but it is actually not. In some places sometimes manageto catch at no speed. The bathroom sucks! Don't even offer shampoos and soaplikes like everywhere else. But in the room an electric kettle, tea bags and sugar sticks. Are we, like, on the train? The windows are wooden, shattered. Of the pluses is a good hotel buffet. Nothing supernatural, but satisfying, tasty and at the proper level. So those who want to feel the charms of the Soviet hotel life — here.

Awful hotel, horrible rooms, broken ACs, … Just take a tent and camp on the street, you will have way more comfort, I promise!

The hotel is on a solid two of 5 points. There's hair on all the towels. The shower is dirty. The mattresses are disgusting! And the most important feature of the room of this hotel — under the sheet — — — glue! Is that to keep the visitors from getting out of here?

We spent the night here one night, perhaps so there are no special claims. The room is small and old. So is the furniture. The towels are clean. Breakfast is great. There's a parking lot.

Cockroaches in the shower, rather than the net a wooden table, staff for anything friendly, the blackout curtain not darkening that barely held up, I would say that the 3 stars are a nice friata! A star only for breakfast, good jams… Good luck that fits you!

The room was horrible. Heated towel rail does not work, the air conditioner also does not work, the remote from the TV all Rewind tape and also does not work and still does not work hood in the bathroom.

One of the ugliest hotels I've ever seen, I don't even understand how it can even have three stars. The breakfast and the other meals are uninviting. The rooms are old and very often the sheets do not cover the whole mattress.

Total disappointment! Terrible rooms, old toilet and bathroom. More.

This place is hot! If you find yourself in 1979. Since then, it's been all downhill. Maybe a touch of paint here and there when the mould starts to show, and a new TV in your room in 1994. Walking around the empty hall in the hotel makes you feel as an extra in 'The Shining' When does Jack Nicholson appear with a grim smile on his face and an axe? Anyways, a 24 hour reception makes it an ease when your cheap Ryanair flight is late. Our room felt and smelled like an unwashed armpit, and the springs in the madress might have been a part of the Hungarian uprising in 1956. Staff in the breakfast restaurant outnumbered us, even through the buffet table stayed dangerously empty all of the time. I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants a true authential experience of the bad, old days.

Even though I have to consider price, room size was too small for 3 persons. Even worse bathroom condition was not recommendable.

In fact, the rooms are clean, the bed is new, the bed is comfortable (especially after a night move, personally I slept like a baby) ) ), noisy, no neighbors heard. There is an electric kettle, TV and a small refrigerator in the room. Breakfast is also good, the coffee is delicious, the food is fresh. But! The most important thing… After a night moving and a day in Budapest I lost my vigilance and… Forgot in the room gold chain with pendant-a long-standing gift of parents, which is not as expensive as a jewel, but as a memory. It was on December 24, 2017, at Christmas. Contact on the phone could not, so wrote the next day on the page on Facebook and hoped for a Christmas miracle, as most likely people in the room already stopped at the time. The next day I was told that I had found my necklace and that I would send it to me! Not a week passed, as the parcel came (and they paid for the shipment, although I said I would pay), the parcel was my chain and pendant. I am very grateful to the maids and the rest of the hotel staff for their decency and would certainly recommend this hotel. THANK you, Hotel Griff!

The hotel was an excruciating experience. They turn off everything starting from the light to the air conditioning claiming they save power but they actually save money on your expense. The room is awful: the TV is extremely small about 12' and doesn't feature any global channels or anything in English (we had to manually scan the channels). The kettle isn't working, the air conditioning isn't working, the closets are small and the toilet is outright wierd. They also forgot to clean our room once. The food isn't diverse throughout the days and runs out quickly leaving those late-wakers with nothing to eat. The Wi-Fi only works in the lobby and even there the signal is weak. The only good thing I can mention is the staff that kept smiling throughout our stay. Other than that the building feels like it's from WW 2.

Rude staff, hard uncomfortable beds, dirty rooms and dirty hotel, pathetic breakfast and the whole place smells weird.

Only one key per room. The restroom is dirty and the equipment is very bad.

We visited the hotel as part of a study trip. Unfortunately we did not use this portal when looking for a hotel, otherwise we would not have landed here.
The hotel is very decaying, already in the lobby there are holes in the wall, repelled corners, cheapest tables and an unfriendly receptionist.
Continue to the reception, here one of the keys is simply handed out. We tried to test another room of fellow travellers. With success!
The rooms are large enough, but there was at least my bed, a feather mattress for decades. In the neighbouring house, bugs were also spotted.
Very uncomfortable. Also here, a versiffter refrigerator, dirty walls, expired carpet.
In the bathroom:-The tiles broken-holder of the shower ripped out-toilet seat lots of breakfast was included, the coffee was good, the bread but old and "Lädschat" The choice was modest, the muesli at the buffet had already become a lump.
The water tastes disgusting. So after two days in the Cafée in Pest breakfast.
Conclusion: Not really cheap, absolutely cruel service, everything is broken.

Not recommended as a base for Budapest. Rooms were a relic of a more deprived age Lovely park nearby.

Great reception staff at that time. Cheap room but the quality corresponds to price. It wasn't the worst room I ever saw ;)

Used to play squash here every once in a while… The place delivers great value for your money.

3 stars hotel Griff it's a mistake but they have fine room service called bugs.

Pretty good squash club, with a gym (weights and cardio area), bar, as well as a spa. The staff were friendly.

We all where amazed by thne staff and the hotel.

Service is bad, food and price ok. 49 and 47 tranvaj going to centar of Budapest and is pasing by hotel. 2 min from hotel is station where u can hop in to tranvaj.

Unfriendly staff that don't give a damn.

Ok. Sad staff (seemed to work loooong hours. ) but they did their job. Not very good at English though. Hard to get what you want. Every question answered with a sigh. "Welcome drink" was a softdrink from the bar, the children couldn't get one "because of alcohol" (hmmmm.?! ).

Clean room, but old furniture, old TV. No shower gel, no shampoo. Beds are old, and they make a terrible noise. Hotel needs to be refurnished. It doesnt looks a 3 stars hotel. Maybe a 2 star.

Average home room spacious but outdated and sheets, poor quality bedding, including mattress full of tasks and just revouvert with a large enough sheet. Cleanliness is average.
The breakfast was passable, many products but not good quality. Fruit juices are indefinable.

Clean and good breakfast, in front whit a tram 49 and 19. Terrible bed and noise. To much group of tourist. But I recomend.

I'm from Ukraine, city of Lviv. Went on a Trip to this wonderful city, in November 2012, and would have been able to stay in this hotel. The hotel is quiet, the area is magnificent. Transport any choice. First impression — and I put 5* reviews.

Initially, it seemed not so bad, but they gradually came more and more things to unveil which definitely need to be improved. From the outside looks the hotel building is not inviting, the entrance area is very nicely designed. Inside it looks quite good. It is all very neat and clean. Also the rooms. The bed linen was a bit longer in use, what with smaller holes and aufgegangene seams showed. The sheet was for short, so that in the Morning you always almost on the bare mattress and slept. The towels looked as if it been 10 years in use with ragged edges and very turns grey. The mini bar was very well stocked. There were, ranging from cans of beer (Heinecken) through small bottle of wine (red + white), Picolo sparkling wine, cans of soda to the water and nuts, everything you Need can use. For German conditions also from the price OK. A small TV is in there too, but only with 3 German channels (Pro7, Eurosport + a Swiss private), unfortunately, hardly any possibilities times news on watch before you are out of the house. In the Lobby is actually Wi-Fi reception the first evening also worked, the other two evenings, unfortunately not more. The connection was there, but the line is too weak. So do not rely on it. Breakfast should it normally from 7-10 PM. I was mostly just before half 10, but there was hardly anything there and the tables were already cleared, Just to get a coffee to catch. Far and wide no fruit, cold cuts or cheese to watch.

Location very good, to the center, 15-20 minutes on foot or by bus a few stops. Breakfast as usual in the hotels of this level — coffee, tea, cheese, ham, sausage, cereal, yoghurts etc Rooms are small but fairly decent, with a TV. In my opinion it is quite normal to go to this hotel. And most importantly I can assume, after all why we go to Budapest? But to take a walk through its narrow streets, walk on the great avenues, релакснуть the Szechenyi baths, and not to cling to the hotel and pay attention to all sorts of trifles. Have a good rest.
