For our honeymoon we were considering Mango Creek lodge vs Fiji and are so glad we chose Mango Creek lodge! Manny and Tita are the best, they made sure we felt at home and when I realized I had forgotten my eye contact solution, Manny let me borrow his. When we wanted to go into town he arranged a boat transport and a cab driver to take us around the island and show us the area.
As for the food? Everything was amazing. Each day we had something different but it all tasted good. If you happen to stay here, be sure to ask Tita for the shrimp curry, it is absolutely amazing!
As for activities, this place offers a variety of options so everyone can have a good time. If you're the more adventurous type, you can go kayaking in the Mango groves or go snorkeling in the coral reefs with the fishes (this was my personal favorite). If you're looking more to relax, the resort has floating beds you can lay on and sip some wine while enjoying the gorgeous view outside of your cabana.
The accommodations were very comfortable, and the rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included so feel free to indulge and relax!
I will take this place over Fiji any day and anyone considering a tropical vacation should too! I strongly recommend Mango Creek lodge, you will not regret it!
We spent two weeks snorkeling and hiking at Mango Creek and really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The cooking was outstanding — better food than one normally gets in a restaurant. Manny and Tita made us feel welcome and at home. Of course we adored the dogs.
