Aracari Hotel Guyana

For a $190 a night this is worst than a NY motel. The room smell like a chicken pen. The toilet seat and bathtub was stained and filty. The sink was not clean. The sheet was stained and did not smell fresh. The second night I switch room and it was the same problem. The shower did not had a nob, it was just a rod screw in, to turn the shower on. The fridge was not working and the shelves was rusted. If you need ice and the bar is close the front desk do not have access to ice. The weather is so hot where will I store ice. If you want a cup of coffee it is instant coffee and it was not presentable. The third night I went to double days and the room was better and the prize was less than half of what I paid for at Aracari. You can get way better hotel for that price.

The rooms are lovely, but the breakfast is a 1/10, egg n bread, roti and egg plant with tea no juice no fruits, what kinda thing is that. Come on man I paid for a executive room and that's the bull shit for a breakfast.

I did stayed at this hotel before and base on all the hotel I stayed before I thought it was rated about 1 1/2 star. But going back I thought it would had improved. But it dropped to a 1/4 star for me. The was construction going on, with dusk all over the place. The construction workers was making noise starting at 7am. The construction areas was not screened off the entire place was full of construction dusk. The housekeeping staff did not clean the room. You had to ask for soap then you had to pick it up at the reception. Speaking to the staff was useless the did not care. The was no one there that was in charge. The should call this place a $20 motel than a Resort. This property is a beautiful property. But it is clear that the management has no concept how to run a hospitality business. All of the websites who promote them and get business for them should be ashamed of themselves. This is nothing as advertised.

Cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough! The grounds were great to walk around and I enjoyed my time in the room. Was so relaxing hanging out in the balcony. If you visit here, do it for the staff alone. Beautiful people taking care of their tenants and making the time spent on vacation truly incredible! Much love and blessings, Anita Bennett <3

The room was very very basic, and for 20k I expected a lot more.
1. The TV can only work with an antenna, it’s not a smart TV and you practically can’t do anything else on it. When the TV is off, it’s as if you’re in a horror movie, because the screen keeps flickering.
2. The light in the room dimly lights at random times even when the switch is off.
3. There is literally no hot water. At least not when I was there.
4. No mats at all were in the room.
5. The lock on the door was unscrewed and falling off from the inside. It felt so unsecured, but thankfully, they knew it would feel unsecured and installed a bolt on the door for anyone to use.
The staff were great, got up a bit too late and they were very kind to make an exception and still serve us breakfast.

The room was basic, so the cost to benefit does not align. Had a room that had a generator or something that sounded like one making noise all through the night so could not get restful sleep. The bed and pillow were uncomfortable, and the gardener started cutting the grass at 7am so you could hear the trimmer. Surly it’s reasonable for the ground staff or the housekeeper not to start nothing before 8am at least.

This place is worse than the worse I’ve seen. Surely a gross misrepresentation of a hotel. More like a Fleebag Roach Motel. Should be shuttered by Government. It’s a total disgrace to the Hospitality business worldwide. They make more money running an hourly ‘quickie’ place. My visitors saw used condoms strewn about. Was lucky to have travelled around never saw/stayed in such a dump. The ‘resort’ looks like a meat market with music my colleagues heard in Australia. Asked for refund, but … $300 gone. Shame shame shame. Rooms smell like insecticide. No place to put toiletries, shaver, etc. No hot water, tub did not drain and on and on. Forget about breakfast. Beggars can do better.
