Lovely and charming relatively new hotel built to look like it is historic, in keeping with its UNESCO location. Had a really cool domed skylight in the bathroom. Wish we had more than just one night there, so that I could have checked out the pool. One complaint that I heard from others in our group was that the food service was very slow for breakfast. It delayed the departure of our tour.

A wonderful hotel in the city of Antigua, it was centrally located. The surrounding public areas were well kept and the coffee bar was a nice touch. A large jacuzzi for relaxing in the evening. I felt very safe and relaxed.

Since one enters you are welcomed, the place is fantastic. The staff organized to work as a team. And the exquisite food.

Although it is a high-end hotel in ancient Guatemala it does not become exceptional, simply by size and amenities it falls short compared to each Santo Domingo. The a la carte food is good, but not transcendental. The most memorable thing is the breakfast buffet…

An architecturally very beautiful and very comfortable hotel. Perfectly and harmoniously well combining colonial style with the functionality of a modern hotel. Spacious, bright, airy. With green gardens and very flowery. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with wide, fluffy beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is a magical place where you can spend the best nights of your life in Antigua. It is cozy and the food is usually very good and buffet breakfast you go out super happy. I recommend it.

In a very elegant hotel, the design is according to the old one as a wreck, has a spacious parking, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is very rich.

An Excellent 5 star hotel in all its aspects, delicious food, great and clean rooms, very good social areas.

On Sundays they have lunch buffets including Lomito, Puyao and roast chicken, for people with abundant hunger super well, includes ceviches, garnishes, soups, tacos, pizza, among other varied meals.

The service in the restaurant excellent, the food delicious, I indulged with my tenderloin in a sauce of chiltepe that is not already on the menu and the chef very friendly I prepare, the room very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. I'll come back with my whole family.

This hotel is so over the top. Probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The beds are extremely comfortable, the staff are incredibly nice, the breakfast was delicious, and the asthetics are very pleasing. Nothing but great things to say about this hotel. Thanks for having us!

A very cozy, comfortable place and very well located.

It's a nice hotel, not too big, but enough to host more than 130 people. Good restaurant, wide meeting rooms, jacuzzi and comfortable rooms. It's located to 5 streets from the main Park and the cathedral, and there's a view of the volcano of Water (Agua) from the main entrance. The volcano of ire (Fuego) can be seen early in the morning from one side of this entrance.

My husband and I stayed a total of 11 days, we were only suppose to stay 5 days but we decide it to extend our vacation… the staff was extremely friendly, I felt very welcomed, And the rooms were spacious. Definitely a well kept hotel with a profesional and pleasant staff.

In the heart of Antigua, excellent care and very beautiful place.

Amazing hotel. Has a really BIG jacuzzi on the open air. The buffet is impressive you’ll probably not going to found anything like this in Guatemala, it has everything fresh made juice combinations that you make to Nutella waffle and crepes. The staff was really friendly and the rooms where incredible, real luxury. Wifi wasn’t that good but it was a big hotel and I was staying in some sort of “corner”.

The tour of Guatemala was fantastic to complete, after Mexico saw a few years ago, knowledge of the Mayan civilization.

Super Cozy place, the rooms are comfortable with some beds and pillows from which I would not want to get up, the Jacuzzi is very good, although it would be even better if the hotel had a pool. The Reataurante EA small, but the food is fine.

We Went for breakfast one day Sunday, not a lot of people and that was good because we didn't have to wait for the eggs. It was a buffet and it is great, it is very varied that was the best. There Are crepes for breakfast. The Price is Q. 145.00

It is a nice hotel with architecture with colonial design. The rooms are comfortable, hygienic and the atmosphere is nice. It is located in an area close to the city centre. The attention and service are good.

If you can afford to stay here, DO IT! Excellent service, beautiful place, great location! I cannot speak any higher of my experience here!

This place tells a story about my beautifull country. They used every available material to expose the amazing and rich resources that this country has to offer. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone.

Had a great 4 days stay at Camino Real. Very nice, comfortable rooms. Great bed, shower (with robe), housekeeping etc. Nicely kept grounds. The location was very good as well. It was just a two block walk to restaurants etc. Yet well off the nearest street so as to be quiet. A/C worked great. No complaints whatsoever. That said, I had a room tucked away in a corner, far from the jaccuzzi. I could see where you might get some noise if you were too near the entrance and jaccuzzi. ATM on the property was handy too. I preferred to get money there than out in the town. Breakfast was also quite good.

Owned by a famous Guatemalan hotelier, this new hotel is a must see in Antigua. Elegant rooms, underground parking and escellent service make this a place to visit often.

Upon arriving to this hotel, I was very impressed, but before the first night was up… I was more than disappointed. 1. Went to use their famous "largest jacuzzi in Guatemala and it wasn't even hot. We told the staff and they seemed to have just reset the Brewster for the bubbles then never confirmed that the issue was fix — which it wasn't. 2. They put us in a room right next to a ballroom with a party that had loud music until midnight. I called three times to find out when the party was ending as my friend and I were exhausted from a long day of travel and just wanted to sleep. The guys spoke to progressively seemed to know less and less English each time I called even though the first time he seemed to understand what I had said. On top of it, each time he put me on hold he actually just hung up on me. 3. Our a/c was broken so it was super warm. We stayed at a place nowhere near as expensive as this place and their a/c worked perfectly so this is rather disappointing. 4. There must have been repairs going on in another area or room because a strong paint or paint thinner odor was coming through our vents which kept me up due to vomiting all night from the headache the strong odor was causing. I didn't get any sleep which was unfortunate especially because the beds are super comfortable 5. I can hear repairs or vacuuming or something from our room. Also at 6am, I am hearing a bunch of noise as the staff gets the event space just outside our door prepared.

The best of the old.

The rooms are the best of Antigua Guatemala. The Hotel is beautiful and full of details and the service excellent. Something that I really like is that despite being a large hotel, its rooms are distributed in courtyards that give the feeling of being in a boutique hotel. It is a quiet place and a few blocks from the central park of La Antigua Guatemala.

I charged an additional night and it has passed more than one month and is not returned as stolen to my credit card.

Wonderful place! Fully recommended. To not get tired of going! It is a magical city without a doubt.

I find it very distasteful that Wi-Fi to be charge separately, and only to be used by a team.

Great place, clean, good service, food. Beautiful decoration and much detail and care. Only thing: they shouldn't charge for Wi-Fi for a five star hotel. Will visit again for sure.

Buyer beware! ** camino real antigua is not a westin property. Their management company owns a Camino Real Guatemala City which is a Westin Property. They use all the "touches" that Westin makes mandatory on their Guatemala City property and carried it over to their hotel in Antigua, but it is NOT a Westin. I was invited to breakfast at the hotel with a friend of mine who paid for the room upfront on her credit card and she left early for the airport (her name was on the room and my name was never associated with the room or chargers). I checked out for her to make sure the chargers were correct and they couldn't run her credit card with out the physical credit card even though they had a card on file. So they held my backpack with my laptop, passport, and money hostage and called 6 police officers and demanded I pay her 8500Q/1100USD tab or I would be going to a 3rd world jail. I had no choice but to put it on my credit card. If you are considering between here and say the Santa Domingo Hotel, or any other hotel I would highly recommend another hotel. The way they treated me like a criminal and the fact they would take me to jail if I didn't pay for someone else's bill was terrifying. So if you stay here and there is an issue, they will extort you and call the police until they get their way. It's up to you to take the chance, but if something goes wrong you better make sure your credit cards don't decline because you are traveling outside the country, and if they decline?

We stayed here for three nights and LOVED it! The beds were so comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. All of the water was filtered so we were able to drink without worrying about illness. Loved it.

Very cozy in terms of architecture and the internal landscape that have known how to combine colors through fountains, gardens, stones and wrapped in an incredible atmosphere.
However when it comes to eating, I recommend the restaurants around.

I was tonight at an informal meeting with a few friends and the service and the facilities seemed "very good".
