All good, except for the attention of the service in the restaurant. This morning with my 5 companions when requesting breakfast the options were very limited and indicated that the person in the kitchen was not very accommodating. They indicated that cheff was not here today and that was why they refused to sell several dishes.
Other services. Everything is fine.

All the staff very attentive, the food very tasty, just a recommendation, if you stay in the bungalos carry mosquito repellent, since they are not completely closed and bother a lot at night, you also have to go prepared to sleep little, people who arrive stay not all but their some take the party until the early hours with music and everything and do not let sleep well. But very nice place.

As always, Johnny’s place provides an amazing, relaxed, and fun setting for experiencing the beach of Monterrico. Their attention to detail and service oriented, incredible staff made sure I had everything needed and more all while providing service with a smile. As before, the restaurant offers delicious meals and drinks for a reasonable price, and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. They even offer vegetarian pizza, which has become my favorite. Hadn’t been back in several years and the updates to the rooms and new pool were fabulous too. If you’re planning a trip, Johnny’s Place is the hotel to book! Safe travels to all. And once again, great job Johnny’s place ❤️

The place is very nice and the food delicious but are very sloppy in need of maintenance.

No recommandation for tourists, they can´t speak English. My room was direct on the music speaker. The restaurant is good, try the burger.

Splendid setting facing the sea to eat a good local fish. Very well cooked I recommend it with rice and a salad.

Food was good and portions nice size though I think I got food poisoning from here. It was very quiet. Maybe it is low season.

Johnny's is located in monterrico beach… The place is very nice has good food clean rooms. They have various pools and you can even get a private one if you rent out the room… Great happy hour Q10 cervezas… You will go through some of these in the heat…

Very nice infrastructure, I attended the restaurant only and this has the view to the sea and its huge waves are appreciated along with its volcanic sand characteristic of the entire coastline.
Regarding the menu we ordered, being so close to the Pacific coast, because we love seafood we say order but the truth that both the fittings and shrimp left much to be desired and the orange or cold much less slush. In the menu I give it a — 1.

Great rooms, nice customer service. Beach is right off the bar. Happy hour is super cheap. Food is good. All around great place to come vacation, the pools are great also.

The food is tasty but the attention is lousy. They take care and even to collect. I was at the Beach House, which is pretty sloppy. We ran out of water for a day and didn't get to repair the problem.

It is economical but it is a bit run down, the restaurant service is a bit mysterious, but still I can recommend it but they are stacked.

Nice food, lovely ambiance. Wi-Fi didn't work in restaurant at all. Personnel seemed to be a bit lazy, ordering food was difficult and it took ages before we got our food, while it was not very busy. But the food is really good!

The quality of the food has gone down and they do not serve what they really say. For example I ordered a seafood pizza and sun brought little piece of crab and I had to ask to be changed the pizza. The place is cozy and the atmosphere pleasant. The rooms are good compared to the price one pays.

The hotel is very well located in the village of Monterrico, the night activities such as the disco on the shore of the beach is well attended and safe as it has friendly waiters and well trained security staff. The atmosphere is beautiful, the prices are very good and accessible even though the food and the place will look more expensive. The only thing that fails is the customer service attention by the receptionist and there seems to be no one in charge of them.

It is always a good option to have a great time, good atmosphere, and the very good mugs, if you need to stay you have to book in advance.

Johnny's place overall is an acceptable and popular place however I have had terrible experience from booking to room delivery. In principle the price we were charged was higher than that published on the Internet. The reservation was made in time and at reception they were subjected to correcting the rate. In addition we have been given the less attractive bungalow of the site, being this on par with the road and without any charm. Very disappointed X the experience.

The Master bedrooms are beautiful, on the floor, facing the ocean, a terrace with a mini swimming pool. The bed is big, comfortable, the sanitary facilities very well. The restaurant in front the beach is good, prices and good service. A beautiful place to relax!

The location is probably the best part of this hotel. There are small pools in front of every cluster of bungalows which was perfect for cooling off whenever the beach was way too hot to walk on. The restaurant was reasonably priced on food and a little on the expensive side for drinks, but you can take the drinks to any of the pools, which is a plus. My biggest issues were the room we stayed in. If you are in the first bunch of rooms (ours was 1B) then you will not be receiving ANY of the Wi-Fi promised by the hotel. You will instead have to go to the restaurant or the pools to check your emails. On top of that, there is no dedicated hot water in the rooms, which makes relaxing showers difficult.

Lack of attention from staff.

I book Casa Karina for 2 nights and those days from the people who run the place they never came to check if everything was ok. The fridge the stove was horrible they really old. I decide to eat dinner with my family at the restaurant the food great. The service horrible, I have 10 years experience being a waitress this people's really need some classes what customer service means.

The service leaves much to be desired are very heavy. With the exception of the waiters and the restaurant manager delia, she was very friendly. But Jorge receptionist has a pesadisima attitude. The place is nice.

Johnny's Place in Monterrico Guatemala is a beautiful place to stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The owners went out of their way to help us find what we wanted! Thanks so much! Great place to relax and soak up the sun! If you want to party Saturday night is Party Night. The food was fantastic and the place was kept so nice and clean. Special thanks to Mario and his wife (owner) for having such wonderful staff especially Jorge and Delia (thanks for shopping for the baby sling) for making us feel so welcome. Very nice place to rest prices accessible.

If the service of the Hotel is how they answer the phone, it seems that it wasn't being very nice. Not is if the owner is that answer as well or if they are workers, but all of us who live from tourism should provide a quality service, NO MATTER WHAT!

Great price for great value! 45q for a dorm bed including breakfast, bar and restaurant with reasonable prices and pool and a ping pong table for the guests.
