Currently on Day 5 of a 12 Day stay and if it wouldn’t take so long to get a refund, I would pack up my family and left to the Tsubaki Tower. Upon arriving and checking in the valet, we were met with the most condescending tones that have lighten up the past days, probably because we tip them $5 as we come and go. Check-in was smooth, room was okay until it was time to connect my government computers and take a bath. I specifically asked questions about the Ethernet before we left San Diego, CA, and they reassured I would be able to hard wire in the room, as long as I brought my own Ethernet cords. I have not yet been able to get connection in both rooms. We attempted to take a bath in the first room, and there was a constant leak from the ceiling, in addition to minimal hot water. They finally moved us to another room on night 4 and if it weren’t for the hot water, this room would be ranked 2 stars. They moved our room from the 16 floor to the 10th floor, where we are listening to the workers power wash and drilling/sawing so much it’s vibrates the room like a cell phone. The room has gnats everywhere from the bathroom to the window with a lingering smell of mildew. I understand this is expected with them recovering from the typhoon but I guess you have to be an Asian tourist to receive 4-5 star service. We were not offered any upgrades due to the problems, I have spoken with 3 different managers (Patrick, Maria, another I forgot her name).
