Oasis Tigaki

Great little family owned hotel.
This is family owned and very charming.
Quiet area, off the main road, so close to the sea and anything you need. The family is incredibly kind and generous. They are passionate people with a big heart.
We will stay here again and again.
They also have a great big pool. But, the Aegean Sea is steps away.

Economical and quiet. If you are expecting gold taps and up to the minute whizz bangs forget the oasis.
If on the other hand you want a quiet hotel. With just what you need you will be fine.
We walk a lot, spend 90% of our time at the beach. All we wanted was room. We eat out on holiday. We are one meal a day types twice tops so full board is pointless.
Mossies are no worse than anywhere in Tigaki. Its a huge salt late…
The key is the price, we have paid, in Kos a LOT more (looking at you more meni, and I am talking 1000's more) for little real extras and a lot more tourist tax.
If your happy with what is essentially a seaside b+b. Enjoy. We will be back.

Unhygienic, minimal effort.
Different unpleasant smells were lingering in the rooms, bedroom, closet and kitchen. Moldy, musky, unfresh.
Facilities are bare minimum just to check off boxes.
We spent 1 uncomfortable night there. Wanting a stress free 10-day vacation, we checked out the next day. They refused to re-emburse us any remaining nights. Half of it would have been fine, we just needed to get out of there. I refuse to waste a day of vacation to gather evidence somewhere I don't want to be.

We stayed here during the last week in September.
We booked the holiday back in June 2024. The accommodation is very basic.
The facilities I. E. Free Wi-Fi, pool, bar, game's area are good, and  comfortable.
Very clean and well kept.
The hot water is by solar. At busy times, hot water is not always consistent, and morning showers with hot water are a bit of a hit and miss!
We opted for bed and breakfast. Breakfast was similar every morning. Rooms were liveable, very clean,   but very antiquated.
In the kitchenett, you would just about make a cup of tea and boil an egg without too much hassle.
The location is quite good as only 10-minute walk to the main strip. A further 10-minute walk, you arrive at the beach. The facility is surrounded by nice gardens and views towards the mountains and the salt lake.
The trip was all about the budget and just about fitted into what we had planned.
Folks who run the complex are very friendly and helpful.

When I decided to book a room before traveling, I saw this hotel on the website. I saw that the price was somewhat good, so I decided to book. I went to book a room and I had two options, the first was a room with a garden view and a room with a lake view. They asked me to pay more money for a lake view and I actually paid more money for a lake view. We arrived at the hotel and when we saw the room we did not expect this. There was no view of the lake or the water. When I spoke to the receptionist about this, he spoke to me in a very bad way. Then an old man came, I think he was his father and he is the owner of the place. He shouted at me and said to me, “If you do not like the place, go from here. ” When I told him, “Give me your money and I will go, ” he started shouting loudly in Greek, which I do not understand. He kept talking and making statements for more than twenty minutes. As for breakfast, they brought a very small breakfast that was not enough for an adult. The first two days they brought me boiled eggs, one was good and the other had a very rotten smell on the inside. They also brought us two pieces of old red watermelon with a stinky taste that was not fit to eat. The waiter came and I gave him the egg. He went and brought another one. On the second day, they also brought cold boiled eggs that came out of the The fridge and the eggs were moldy and had a bad smell. I returned the eggs to an old woman who owns the place and she was preparing the food.

Absolutely fabulous hotel in nice quiet area of town. Small business, owner managed. 5 to 10 minute walk from the strip. Very friendly and helpful staff. Warmest pool I've ever been in abroad. Cleaners clean the rooms daily. Cheap amd cheerful. Rooms are spacious with balconies, hob, fridge, sink. Pay extra for air conditioning but was worth it.

Support small businesses. The owners are nice people. The hotel has been running for many years and is getting updated little by little. The pool is super blue and clean and they do accept card now ex. Debit/credit. The The view from the (third floor) to your surroundings is very nice. The mountains, the farmland life, the nice trees, the salt Lake, the ocean. If you get third floor, just wait at night when the sun sets and the moon rises by the mountains. Again, this is not a Holiday Inn, Marriott etc… It's a nice family owned hotel that has lots of history.

I'm very open minded when it comes to reviews and would rather make my own mind up, we booked this last minute cheap & cheerful getaway and by no means was expecting the Hilton, this hotel is in a lovely location, amazing pool, beautiful views and an amazing sunset over the salt lakes and ok rooms, very dated but clean. That's where the good bits end. The lady who owns it is lovely but her husband not at all. If he takes a dislike to you you know about it (not me) but another couple round the pool. Even to the point of asking a dad playing with his very young daughter (around 4yrs old) in the baby pool to get out as he was too old and put his daughter in the big pool!.
We had 1 breakfast each there which said €7 for an English breakfast consisting of 2 slices of what I think was fried bread, 1 slice of bacon, 2 eggs and a 2 tiny sausages, she asked if we wanted a tea or coffee but the bill was then €20, The bread tasted like it had been cooked on a filthy grill… we never ate there again. Prices of €2.50 for cans of soft drinks but when you went to pay he tried to charge €3, Self catering consists of a hob and a kettle. No toaster and when we asked we were told No, use a frying pan and oil!
No shower head holder and water flying everywhere.
We weren't allowed anything not bought at the bar, however a group of young greek adults using the pool could bring whatever they wanted and they were fine with that.

A typical Greek hotel and apartment, clean with good mosquito mesh on doors and windows, the swimming pool is brilliant, it is a good way to walk for shops and the beach. Staff are nice and helpful and Sebastian keeps a good bar with cold beer in frozen glasses. We were room only. A great, quiet holiday. I would come again!

Lovely hotel stuck in the fields with surrounding animals. Lovely pool pleasant staff, near too beach and main strip. Bit dated it was the cheapest hotel I found but good value for money, remember you get what you pay for 😊. Gentleman even let me keep my room till 7.30 on the day I left which was really good. Efaristo.

Really loved our stay at the Oasis — a perfect place to stay for total relaxation. Five min walk from the main street with a great choice of restaurants/bars/cafes. Our first time to Kos but we visit the Greek Islands a lot. Beds were comfy, rooms cleaned daily and beds made. The owners/staff are really lovely and nothing too much trouble. Pool lovely and well looked after. Doesn't close until 7pm in the summer which is great — it catches the sun all day long. No stress over sunbeds either! We will definitely go back!

This is not a hotel you can chill out in and not feel depressed.
Pros — pool is nice.
— the air con works at a fee of £7 a night.
Cons — we found plasters from the person before on the floor.
— the shower only runs on cold.
— there is a cow field 10 metres from your room.
— the owner is like something out of Scarface and is rather intimidating.
— probably the furthest hotel from the tigaki strip.
— the hotel is 'cash only. '
— the cleaners come early in the morning while your sleeping — 9:30am.
— they dont advise that you have to throw a bucket of water out which collect the air con droplets. Due to this our room flooded.
— if your looking for a hostel like room for the night… book away.

We had an excellent stay at the Oasis. 2nd time to Tigaki… for us the Hotel is well situated near the Lake, with a short 5min stroll into Town or 10mins to the Beach. The Hotel was quiet and traditional Greek accommodation, the Staff are all excellent, polite and helpful. Out room was cleaned daily to a high standard. We had a balcony with a view over the farmland and from the door to our apartment could watch the sunset over the lake. We had a peaceful stay and slept well. Beer and wine from the Hotel bar around the lovely pool and some good meals in Town and especially Mummy's in Kos Town. We would definitely stay again, having visited the inclusive Hotel's in the area and their pools we are glad we opted for the Oasis!

The apartment was very dated and the rooms severely needed updating. We went self catering and the kitchen only had a table top two ring hob and a kettle and that was it. We expected at least a toaster. So the only meals we could cook was either boiled or fried. The aircon at 7 euros a day made no difference to the 28-degree night heat as was nowhere powerful enough. Its a very quiet place to stay and a bit off the beaten track. Our room had an amazing view of the salt lake, but we was woken every morning by cows mooing. The mosquitos were relentless and we came home covered in bites.
Some of the staff were very friendly. We have a 3 year Old who spent his time in both the big pool and the baby pool under our supervision which was never crowded, we were in the big pool every day, however on the last day we were with our three-year-old in the big pool only to be shouted at by the manageress saying he's not to be in the big pool only the little pool and supervised.
The strip with the shops and restaurants were lovely and we must of eaten at every restaurant. Food was much the same in each one and prices were very reasonable.
The beaches were amazing and the sea was so warm. Lots of places to hire sunbeds and you can order food and drink from them. Was a bit windy and was a godsend in 40-degree heat.
We would definitely return to kos but not to the oasis.

The accommodation was very basic but was exceptionally clean. Everyone was very friendly, staff and customers alike. A 10 minute stroll to the beach and around a 10 minute stroll to a large Supermarket (should you need it). I love Kos and I adore Tigaki and my opinion of both was only strengthened by this hotel. The only slight downside was on arrival night the chap showing me to my room was polite but not particularly helpful (he just watched me struggle with both cases, I suppose I've been spoilt in the past) — he may just have had an off night as whenever I saw him from then on he was always friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any budget conscious traveller!

Typical Greek family run hotel. Basic and clean. Staff are very friendly, pool area is great spotlessly clean and fenced off for safety from the rest of the outdoor areas, unusual in Greece. Food from the bar is also very good. A flat 5 minute walk to the main road where all the shops and tavernas are located. Lovely shaded areas also available. The one little annoyance is the amount of power sockets in our room. One for the cooker and one for everything else so bring an adapter and everything will be great.

The location of the apartment to everything is great. You are just off the main street so it's quiet apart from the roosters at dawn (you are surrounded by mostly farm land). Very close to the Salt Lake, the bakery which is amazing, a fab little supermarket, the bus stop to Kos, 15min bike ride to the winery (try the back road that runs around the apartments, quieter and less potholes! ) However the apartments are very tired and dirty. We had 2 rooms in the end — probs were; broken toilet, kettle and shower. Both shower rails fixed to ceiling by wire and a hook? Shower curtain too short, kitchen amenities mean you struggle to do a sandwich and it's supposed to be self catering. The cleaning staff need to learn how to clean and they constantly leave the insect screens open after you close them, meaning rooms are then full of mosquitoes. The downstairs room we had was full of mouse droppings — so unhygienic! And generally it's all a bit grubby. The pool area is great and the staff are nice. If you want clean and well maintained pay more or go elsewhere. It's a shame if it was clean we would of gone back.
