Hotel Tigakis Star

Beautiful place, the hotel it’s self is lovely the rooms are spacious we had balcony with sun loungers, air con no problem wasn’t to hot in the rooms in the evenings without the air con. The swimming pool area kept clean and lovely vibe round it the staff in the pool bar work so hard and can’t do enough for you, that’s goes for the receptionist and cleaners too.
Breakfast was cheese eggs meats serial fruit yogurt bread basic but plenty.
We hired bikes for the day 6 euros just outside the front of the hotel.
The area itself is lovely many places to eat and drink drinks an average 4-6 euros a cocktail.
Would defiantly stay here again at this hotel.

Fantastic location. Only a 5 mins walk to the bars and restaurants, but also out of the way so it's peaceful. Food at the pool bar is good and very cheap. Comfortable sunbeds (no having to run to reserve! ), has a great pool for swimming, and set in very pretty grounds. The rooms are what you would expect from a 3 star, but very clean and (ours is) quite modern with a little fridge /freezer — air con is a life saver. Staff are very friendly too and has a lovely homely /authentic feel all round. Breakfast is basic, but has the staples (no English breakfast, but enough to start the day). For the price, I would highly recommend to anyone.

This little cozy hotel with a ”countryside-vibe” was perfect for our relaxing week in Tigaki. The room was big and clean. Also the staff was very friendly. In the hotel bar you could eat quite good and cheap lunch and enjoy good beer. The pool was also big enough in our opinion. The only negative thing and the reason why this hotel didn’t get 5 stars was the breakfast. The breakfast was quite narrow and the food in breakfast was average in our books. But overall this hotel experience was nice!

Lovely hotel, relaxing atmosphere, comfortable rooms and beautiful grounds.
Great pool. A few minutes walk to the beach, which is also very nice.
Close to the busy tourist centre of Tigaki but calm and quiet.
Most important — the helpful and friendly staff made our short stay a real vacation!

This is a difficult review to write as the staff are great, the pool area very good and many aspects are excellent. But, a shower that was mostly cold, a breakfast that was decent but not ever having baked beans and only doing fried eggs every third day may seem petty but just edges this hotel away from being excellent. If I could I would give it 4.5 but unfortunately can't. Would still go back as mostly very good.

Really good hotel, rooms basic but decent. Great landscaped grounds with flowers, fruit trees and views of the salt pans. 8 min walk to beach and about the same to the strip. Fabulous breakfasts and large swimming pool in olive grove. Nice atmosphere well chilled out.

Got back two weeks ago. What a gem of a hotel. Perfect location. Just ten minutes from the beach & the restaurants. Lovely & quiet at night, overlooking the salt lake. The gardens are pool area are immaculate. Plenty of sunbeds with a lovely pool bar that does lovely snacks. This is a family run hotel and staff are amazing, with a special thanks to Gabriela on reception and Pantelis at the pool bar, who gave amazing service. The apartments are spotlessly clean with clean sheets and towels changed regularly. The beds are comfy. The buffy breakfast is really good, either continental or English and you can eat outside on the sunny terrace, or eat inside. Overall a fantastic holiday and will definitely be coming back.

A one week stay in late September. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff could not be faulted, perhaps the best feature of our stay. The rooms are a bit basic, but with everything you need, plenty of storage space, comfortable bed, adequate bathroom except for the nylon shower curtain which did cling a bit when you were taking a shower. The hotel site is excellent, a short walk to the town, on site a very decent size pool with plenty of sun loungers, shady areas perhaps a bit lacking. The gardens are lovely with the 4 or 5 bedroom blocks dotted around and definitely not crowded in on each other. Breakfast was definitely not a high point, a very basic buffet, mini frankfurter sausages swimming in water were not a good look. Most disappointing was the complete lack of fresh fruit, apart from a few slices of water melon, otherwise it was slices of tinned pineapple or peach. Seems like not a lot of imagination or thought went into the breakfast catering. The hotel does not have a restaurant, it has a snack bar which is ideal for a poolside lunch or drink, but does not cater even for a decent evening meal. However, there are several very good restaurants within a short walk.
It is what it says it is, a good basic three star hotel.

We have just returned from a 1 week stay on a B&B basis.
Immediately upon arrival we were made to feel welcome at this family run hotel. Check-in was friendly and efficient and our room was already prepared (arrived mid-afternoon). The friendly and personal approach continued throughout our stay and was a welcome change from the indifferent service sometimes received at larger hotels.
The room was basic but very clean with bed linen and towels changed daily. Despite some reviews, we found the beds comfortable and enjoyed a quiet nights sleep every night. There is a small fridge provided and we did find that this needed to be unplugged each night as it tended to become quite noisy. One thing to note is that although numerous TV channels are provided, it is aimed more towards the German guests with only 1 channel being in English (Nickelodeon — a cartoon channel).
Breakfast (continental) didn't provide the best choice and tended to be the same every day (apart from scrambled / fried eggs changing). However, if a continental breakfast isn't to your liking there are plenty of place to buy a full English breakfast.
For the size of the hotel, it has a very large pool with generous opening hours (8am — 8pm). Plenty of quality sun loungers are provided and we had no problems finding free ones (even if arriving late to the pool). The pool bar is excellent and provides some great food and drinks at very reasonable prices.

We've just returned from a week at this lovely hotel.
We had a standard room, which was basic but had everything needed, comfy beds, TV, shower and bath, air con, fridge, safe and even toiletries. Towels were changed daily upon request.
Breakfast was 'fine'. Basic continental plus sausages, bacon and eggs.
The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, was spotless. There were plenty of comfy beds available. Remember to bring your beach towel!
Service at the pool side bar was 5 star! Thank you! Drinks and food were delicious! I recommend the Greek pizza!
The hotel is a 5 min walk away from the centre, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants, but none too rowdy.
We particularly enjoyed our time at Memories bar and the King Size beach.
I throughly recommend this little gem hotel.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Immaculate in every area, rooms are dated but cleaned and fresh towels provided every day of your stay, the pool area is beautiful with ample comfortable sun beds, never over busy. Breakfast is adequate, although the addition of a toaster machine would be beneficial. The staff are all extremely friendly, and the location is perfect just quietly out the way, but only a short stroll to everything. We shall definitely return to this lovely place.

Beautiful, well kept and clean. Tranquil, relaxing environment. Nice spacious pool area where always was space despite hotel was full. Great pool Bar with very friendly and professional service by Patelis — you always felt welcome. Food served delicious basics, large proportions.
Hotel rooms very tidy, cleaned daily and lovely soft towels also replaced. Self controlled airconditioning and fridge in the rooms made stay very pleasant together with good beds and pillows. Terrace facing to well kept garden was great plus. Staff was friendly and even the cats staying in the area behaved well and highlighted the overall nice athmosphere. Good beaches, especially Happy Flamingo, and choice of restaurants within walking distance. I will come back!

Great Hotel. The staff are the best part of this Hotel they really are all very friendly and helpful. The Rooms are very clean and are serviced daily. They are spacious as apartment rooms go and the balcony is a good size. Bathroom is good except for the old type shower curtain which is a bit annoying. They have a kettle in the room which was great. The pool are is great and never had a problem getting sun beds and again very clean. Pool bar is great and the food at it is good and has a well stocked bar. It stays open late every night. Think one nights entertainment a week would be a good idea here though. Breakfast was okay but could do with bit of variety and bit more fresh fruit but it was adequate. Hotel was good value for the area and only around 8 mins walk to the beach or the town. Roads are well lit up at night as well. Its a nice quiet hotel which is beside the SaltLake. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel in Tigaki. Value for yout noney. The garden is nice. The beds were bad and very old. Pool was clean but missing some sun beds. A lot of german snd british tourists in this hotel. Breakfast was ok but some variations would br great. Clean and silent place.

Excellent 2 week stay in September 23. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Pool and pool bar great. Food was very good. Lady behind bar was very nice. Had an issue with the air con, they tried to fix it but couldn't so swapped our room. Breakfast was decent, not sure what some people expect.
We were in main block and had a lovely pool/mountain view as well as salt lake. Shower was over the bath and quite tight, but it was manageable.
Great location, nice and quiet but near everything. No complaints at all.
