We stayed in the Papastakis Guesthouse for three days in June 2017 and had a great time. It is the closest to the monasteries of the Meteors. The room was large and clean; The beds comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful (they washed and ironed two shirts without us paying anything). The breakfast was good and plentiful.

Very nice hotel. Friendly owners. Great views. Located in the end of the village but only 5-10 mins on foot from the centre with the tavernas. Ideal if one wants to do the monastery tour on foot.

The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly. (German language)
The rooms are clean and modern. Direct view of the rocks and monasteries. The first monastery is only a few minutes away by car.

The house is nestled in the wonderful landscape around the contrasting meteora scenery. Hiking trails start right outside the door. The great tips including trail sketches and explanations of the owner are worth gold. The whole house is shipshape clean and well maintained. The breakfast is fine (ham-cheese-toast, bread, confi, egg, Greek. Yogurt with honey, fruit juice, coffee/tea) Just sit down, it's already served. The picturesque village of Kastraki, the small town of Kalambaka and of course the monasteries have really thrilled me. But I am especially fond of the owner couple who, with friendliness, humour, helpfulness, openness and generosity, provides a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere and made my stay an unforgettable experience. A great place to stay if you are planning on exploring the surrounding landscape, especially by foot or bike. One step out of the door and you are right on the main road which leads directly into Meteora and the surrounding trekking routes. This family run place is clean and comfortable, the staff has a great knowledge of the surrounding area and is happy to assist you. You have a good view from most rooms, those with a direct Meteora view offer a breathtaking picture in the morning. Some guests may miss a hair dryer or a refrigerator, which I honestly didn't even notice. I´ll choose this place again over the more luxurious options, the price is fair and the place fits great into the soul of the landscape.

Nice hotel but need a refrigerator and hair dryer dont miss to bring fly killer like vape coz there are a lot in july.

Great place to stay when you visit Meteora. It is family run guesthouse, owners are pretty nice people doing their best to provide you with complete satisfaction from the place. The location is absolutely outstanding. Views at Meteora are beautiful — you just see them directly from your room window. I would be pleased to recommend this guesthouse to any traveler.
