What holidays should be about… Excellent accommodation, beautiful setting, hosts that care about their visitors, food that only mum can cook and with Christos to look after everything! Will return.

Christos absolutely makes your holiday! What a man! Nothing is too much for him! The apartments are fabulous and there is everything that you need there. If there isn't, he will sort it! We highly recommend this place and will be visiting again!

Wonderful welcome, Christos is available for anything from breakfast to tours to do, to places to visit… the rooms are also clean, quiet, and the location is very good, close to the villages to visit and the beaches. There is also a manicured swimming pool and parking lot. Great I'd say!

Fantastic place and one of the best families you could meet. Nothing is ever too much for them. Love the days and evenings I spend there when I'm back in Corfu.

Christos makes the perfect host, in a great location. We had a lovely 11 days staying with Christos at the Apartments Despina, enjoying his lovely food, drink and pool. It was a great base for us to explore the whole island from, with a friendly family atmosphere and good privacy. Absolutely recommended! Hope to see you again soon Christos! I had a lovely time at Despina Apartments and Christos made my stay extremely comfortable. He will always go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. His mother, Despina, is a great cook and host aswell, they both run a tight ship and having been to Corfu many times previously, this is the most authentic place I have stayed. The locals from the surrounding villages come to spend their nights there at the Bar and it is a great feeling being around people visiting the island and the locals, it really immerses you in the culture. Just west of Corfu town it is a 15 minute drive away and situated well in reach of some beautiful sports, near the likes of Pelekas and Agios Gordios; I would recommend getting a hire car of which is an abundance in Corfu. Overall, if you want to stay at a place where you can do your own thing but also benefit from conversing with locals and holidaymakers alike then I would definitely recommend Despina Apartments. I will be visiting again!

Amazing place and highly recommended to anyone travelling and staying at Corfu. Despina Apartments are literally in the middle of the Island, which makes it easy to commute to any side of the Island and takes only 15min to travel to Corfu Town.
Our host Christos was exceptional! Very friendly, helpful regarding any type of questions/directions and took great care of us. Very down to earth person and from now on a dear friend. He is always there for you no matter what!
The apartment itself was very clean and ready when we arrived. Had air conditioning, clean and fresh bedding/towels, all necessary utensils for the kitchen. Our apartment had a separate patio with a direct pathway to the swimming pool, which was very convenient.
The surrounding area was clean, nicely trimmed and covered with beautiful flowers and palm trees. We also enjoyed sweet clementines straight from the trees just outside our door.
The pool is nice, well maintained and clean at any time of the day and most importantly located next to the bar, which has a seating area where you can enjoy local beer, wine, spirits or cocktails made by Christos. Also we had a pleasure to try traditional Greek dishes prepared by the Christos family.
Thus, in general our holidays were amazing, relaxing, hassle-free and very enjoyable. Thanks to Christos and his family and will be definitely staying here again next time visiting Corfu.

I am currently sitting by a blue pool under a blue sky in 30c. As the previous reviews have detailed the apartments are spotless and have all you need. This includes Wi-Fi and air con. Christos and his family cannot do enough to make you welcome. I will post a full review once I get home.

I stayed at Despina with my wife and two children for three weeks in June 2015. Christos (sometimes known as Costas) and his family could not have been more welcoming or hospitable, they will do whatever they can to make sure that their guests enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is very relaxed and easy going, if you come here for a holiday and you don't have a good time then you need help! The food that we had at Despina was all excellent, from the bar food at the pool to the traditional local Greek dishes served in the evenings. Christos works hard to keep the place in tip top condition, he loves his job and it shows. He was often up into the small hours cleaning the pool after all his guests had gone to bed. My wife loved it and the kids loved it, the children especially enjoyed playing in the pool with the local kids and taking Hermes (Christos dog) for walks in the beautiful green countryside that surrounds the rooms. The rooms are basic but had everything we needed, Despina makes a great place to stay while discovering and enjoying Corfu. You really need a hire car to make getting around easier but Christos can arrange this and probably anything else also! There are only about nine rooms so the place doesn't get over crowded and this makes for a much better experience than staying in a bigger hotel. Excellent relaxing holiday. Many thanks Christos!
