Amazing food, purely traditional flavours and so many tasty gems (great prices). Try the rabbit, the shrimps, the traditional meals. It's fantastic. Also, their cocktails are incredibly tasty as well! And most importantly, enjoy the dreamy landscape — mind blown.

Very nice sandy beach and clear water. Parasols and sunbeds available for only one consumption. The restaurant and bar are very nice and the food is good. And the lovely staff.

This review is for the restaurant only. We came here twice. The atmosphere were so beautiful and relaxing. The sword fish and the mussaka were great. Very nice also the grilled vegetables and the rabbit stifado. Complementary raki, water melon and dessert. The orange cake was absolutely amazing!

Blueshells is definitely the dish number one. Service is weak in english but hearty.

Amazing experience overall. Friendly staff are welcoming and always engaging and making it personal. A superb location and relaxing beach. The restaurant breaks the trend of hotel food. It was top quality dining experience consistently. Bar and wait staff handle any requests with ease and with a friendly attitude. I could name a lot but Yougis (hope I spelled it correct) the manager and Andrey the receptionist stood out with with their interactions. Recommending day trips and ways to save € and stopping by for a chat when we where enjoying a drink or bite to eat. Overall because of this experience I will be making this a yearly trip. The more the merrier but would be just a nice going solo because of the family run hotel.

I was a solo traveller the first time in my life. Here I got such a positive experience that I can say this was the best holiday in my life! They comforted me and ensured that I am safe and everything is the most convenient for me! They were waiting for me when I arrived in the middle of the night and even offered to cook for me! everything was so personal! The receptionist, Andry helped me to book amazing trips and supported me in everything!
the view, the sunsets, the clouds, the sea, the shore is all unbelievable! Even in spring when the weather can change it is 100% worth it to spend time here! I would like to send here all my friends for a recreational program!

Just stopped for drinks but the service was good and the view out over the bay at sunset was wonderful.

This restaurant is located on the beach in Kissamos called Maria Beach, approximately at the height of the Carrefour. It is a somewhat fancier restaurant than most restaurants in Crete, with for example real tablecloths instead of paper ones. The menu is quite extensive. We ordered the grilled vegetables, two types of stuffed bifteki (stuffed minced meat) and a salad with rucola. The white house wine is very tasty and the bread that is served with the dinner is toasted bread with olive oil and garlic.

Great local cuisine but also a few stand-by options for picky kids like burger and fried potatoes. But a unique twist on the "burger and fries" — a burger stuffed with feta cheese and potatoes seemed fresh, sliced thinly and not your standard fries. Lovely salad, excellent cheese (both import and local), and the cuttlefish was nice. Local white wine was a nice combo of dry and sweet. The complimentary ice cream, raki, and watermelon was a nice touch. Service was great, staff friendly. The setting was perfect — right on the beach.

We spend 3 days in Kissamos in May 2016. We went twice to Maria beach restaurant to have dinner, a welcoming tavern along the beach. Even thought the menu is not very detailled, waiters explain kindly what the meals are made of and how they are cooked. The first dinner, we took sword fish souvlaki, Imam (eggplants stuffed with onions, tomates, cheese), Feva (smashed peas with tasty olive oil) and Pleurotes (Mushrooms grilled with balsamic vinager, garlic and persil). At the end of this first dinner, we decided to reserve the traditional greek meal (which has to be ordered in advance cause it needs a long cooking time) for the day after. Made of chicken and lamb boiled for hours and served with risotto rice style cooked in the meat fat with fresh cretan butter, this meal is a typical cretan dish for celebration. We had a starter before that (grilled vegetables with garlic, balsamic vinegar and persil) which was probably not necessary considering the size of the traditionnal greek meal. This dish was astonishing, tasteful, the meat was very tender and rice was full of flavors. Raki and deserts were offered to us at both dinners and were also very good. Count around 35€ for 2 people with drinks! It was our best culinary experience in Creta among the 10 restaurants we visited during our holidays.

Very pleasant family hotel with a perfect staff! The restaurant is very good with traditionals meals (taste the Boreki and the grill octopus). The buffet breakfast is excellent as well. Some nigh there is greek music with a very good atmosphere between the clients. I recommmand!

Excellent food and wonderful view!

Lovely location right by the sea. Almost cool. Friendly staff. We ate Lamb with potatoes. Some appetizer always land. Honest account though not among the cheapest. Orange cake, ice cream and grappa offered.
