Peace and quiet —, friendly athmosphere — Very nice village nearby.

She a wonderful place. The staff is amazing and so caring. There is a fantastic community feel with Monday BBQ and Wednesday game nights. If you get a chance to go on one of Vesalis’s hikes don’t miss it!

The best hosts, a beautiful environment of lush dense olive trees and flowers, so close to the beach! Great food, fantastic service. Fantastic in all ways!

Royal villea village situated in Makry Gialos small friendly village with beautiful beaches and restaurants. We experienced wonderful hospitality from Chrissoula in dining room and Nikos in the bar. 5 stars to both of them.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villea Village. Had everything we needed, in the nice little village of Mikrogialos. Easy to get around the island and some spectacular scenery on the drive from Heraklion. I particularly enjoyed doing some training in the lovely pool. Long enough for us lap-swimmers, it just needs a few markers on the end walls to prevent accidents. They are very hard to see when your head is under water. Otherwise all was wonderful :-)

Beautiful, quiet and very Cretean. If you want marble and glass it's not for you. If however you're going to Crete for the Greek experience it's beautiful.

We have been traveling Europe for over a year, and have to say that this resort has everything we have been looking for, IN ONE SPOT. Walk out the front and within 1 minute you are on an almost secluded beach … a huge pool with a bar/grill is onsite … breakfast buffet to-die-for … self-contained cool rooms with strong Wi-Fi everywhere. Staff is in attentiveness & friendliness — you can TELL they LOVE their job. But as far as we are concerned: Don't come a-knockin', because we are relaxin' :) The flowers and gardens here are worth the stay in themselves. Loving Villea Village and will make this a return-visit when in Greece/Crete!

Lovely gardens great pool our kitchen was small but ok for us bedroom had good storage and sitting area was nice balcony was great and surrounded by flowers and olive trees staff were very welcoming.

Quiet and relaxing holiday.

Fun place to be. They were helpful when we wanted to anywhere on helping us with names and buses. We loved Crete.

As usual in this kind of residence, English is King, French left behind. Despite the restaurants that speak French more or less well, between my bad English and their basic French we can understand each other. In the residence it is Greek or English or nothing. The residence is nice, not far from the beach. Breakfast price: 13 €/day and per person. Very quiet place… in may, to see in full summer when the establishment is full.

Villea Villages is a terrific resort. Beautiful, situated in a mature olive grove, the resort has preserved the lovely trees and made them focal points in their landscaping. The lobby and common areas are open and yet cozy. With a library in several languages, a variety of board games and a pool table. The swimming pool is large and inviting and a great pool bar provides a place to meet other guests. The rooms are clean and maid service is attentive. Group excursions are well organized, filled with local color and fun. The town and beaches are all across the road and safe to walk day or night. The only danger is eating too much good Greek food!

A genuine Cretan experience, you feel like a local living here. Staff are amazing, warm and friendly. Not for you if you expect a 5 star hotel experience but perfect if you want to enjoy the island, shop and eat like a local and visit the sites. Excellent hiking, beaches are lovely and more ancient historical sights than you could ever hope to see in a week.

Super facility, some things in the room have come in the years but everything works! Who wants to spend a holiday in the room?

Wonderful garden villas, great pool & bar, staff are the best, 50 meters from the beach.

We've come here for 4 years on end and can't get enough of it. Beautiful surroundings, great accommodation and the staff are amazing. Local food is great too and the pool and surrounding beaches provide great places to be in the day.

Gorgeous proeprty with a great pool side bar. Extremely close to the ocean for convenient trips to the beach. The room has ac, a small patio, and a real tub. Fantastic property.

Really love this place! It feels like such a lovely village location but there's still everything you need. Loads of lovely tavernas to eat in. The staff are so friendly, especially nikos behind the bar. Risoula is so nice too, who serves breakfasts. The rooms are really pretty but the aircon wasn't brilliant. A wonderful butchers up the road but we had no way of cooking anything which was a shame. Overall however I would totally recommend this for a relaxing holiday. Would definitely come back.

We did again have a wonderfull time in this hotel. Super service, very friendly staff and we always feel very welcome! Great pool, nice poolbar and a special relaxed atmosphere… 50 mtr from the beach, all kind of traditional restaurants, nice small bars and very friendly locals! See you soon again!

My two weeks at villea was absolutely amazing — the food, the employees, Trivia nights, wonderful pool bar atmosphere, barbecue nights, and much more! I would 10/10 recommend anyone coming here! The owner Vassilis is such a great host — he took us on a personal hike and showed us The Cretian mountains.

Note: This is my first time to Europe so I have nothing for comparison. Clean rooms, air conditioning, pristine pool. We stayed in a studio apartment. Paid for spotty Wi-Fi in the room €20/week, but it worked well close to reception. Plenty of hot water, clothes washer and dryer available for €8 per load. Breakfast buffet or a la carte and poolside tavern with lots of wine and cocktails. The manager, Vassilis, is an incredible source of information for exploring the Eastern part of the island. While there are plenty of tavernas and shops close by, we had to use a car to see all the sights and take a few day trips.

A fairly quiet village nestled in the cool of a pleasant Grove … very quiet … but the Manager did not know recommending places to see, as it was without car … what to say … If you find a place where you will enjoy peace of mind and do nothing, maybe could fit.

Everyone is trying his/her best to keep you happy and satisfied. The place is clean and beautiful. Areas are pleasant and relaxing.

At the height of the Mad Cow and Hoof and Mouth scares that were broadcast daily on our media, we had booked a stay in England. The sight of people be spayed when arriving by boat or ferry impacted us in a very negative way, We demanded from our booking agency to be redirected to somewhere warm and sunny and away from the spectacle being displayed non-stop on the news. We were booked to the Villea Village on the southeast coast of Crete and had the most amazing time we have ever had at a new venue. We have often planned to return but life and circumstances have always interfered. Until now! We have joined and Travel Agency as consultants and tour operators and the plans are in the making for our return to the best kept secret in the Mediterranean. I know we won't be disappointed when we finally do return! The people of Villea Village are what really made this stay so special! Working to see you all soon.
