Currently staying here. Great little hotel. Room is clean and tidy. Veey relaxed atmosphere and staff polite and helpful. Jeanette at the bar does everything she can for you. Will revisit at some point.

Third visit back to the Lato hotel this year, and I loved it as much as the first time. Beautiful view from sea facing room, wonderful staff and incredible bar lady who always makes the trip extra special. Wonderful breakfast and lunch menu to suit all, as a fussy eater I was more than happy to find English options mixed into the Greek choices. Roof terrace was a wonderful addition this year.

Worst than a 1 star. Very rude night guard that yells at you and keeps your room keys unsafe for anyone to grab. They said they had ac but it had a horrible sound and did not work to its full potential. Also, the staff was rude and had an attitude to the service all the time. Would never recommend to anyone. You have better places in the center or in elounda.

Great little hotel with a lovely pool and outside bar, and a very nice rooftop terrace. Staff are very friendly and helpful. 30 min walk from downtown area or 6€ taxi ride, less than 10 min walk from beach bar and 2 min walk from a couple of very nice taverns and a restaurant.

A nice holiday spent at the hotel side at the gates of Agios Nicolaos. A nice entrance with ample parking. Clean rooms with personal exterior. It offers ample breakfasts, open for lunch, cheap with in-house bar next to the kitchen area. Concierge, welcoming and special staff.

Feels like coming home every time I come here. Can't do enough for you.

Tiny Room, but very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Bar at the pool with drinks and snacks at moderate prices.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, the staff are amazing, the rooms are absolutely immaculate, cleaned every day by the very friendly cleaners. Breakfast is good, choices consist of cakes, fruits, egg, bacon/hot dog style sausages (on alternative days) and various other bits. Jeanette (wor lass) is fantastic, she makes the best chips ever, as in the whole of Agios Nikolaos — in my opinion. She works tirelessly during the morning and evening to ensure guests are as happy as ever. (she's a right good laugh too). Around the pool you can hear the Cicadas. They can drive you a bit insane so do make sure you bring some headphones to drown out the noise! They are screeching all day long. Nevertheless the pool area is lovely with sun for most of the day, and plenty of shade for those who prefer that too. It is around a 20-25 minute walk to get into the town centre but there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby which definitely live up to the standards. Patriko's being one of our favorites. We had sea view room 208 and the picture provided is from our balcony. We hired a car for a few days, and there is plenty of parking so nothing to worry about there. All in all I would definitely visit again, I haven't a single bad word to say about the place. I have really enjoyed this holiday.

Very friendly family hotel. Nice swimming pool and sunbathing area. For breakfast there are many options including very good and homebaked lemonade and cakes made by one of the family owners for the guests. In every way a good place to stay in Agios Nicolaos in Crete.

Great place for staying ideal for your holiday or exploring let's face it you only really want a bed to lie in and a place to wash the place has a pool if you wish but a lot of places to swim and eat a lot to see and trips very easy to arrange cars and scooters to hire even larger motorcycles if you are motorcyclist the staff are great and helpful place clean and tidy everything you need really.

Because there is no smoking ban! They smoked like damned in the next room making unbreathable our and to my reviewers the staff did not have to look at it! Indeed a smile!

Hotel very nice, room spacious enough beautiful balcony with sea view, large and varied breakfast, pool and quiet bar despite the proximity of the road.

Comfortable, keenly priced accommodation, close to excellent restaurants and a variety of enjoyable bars.

2nd time at the Lato great staff fantastic hotel very friendly, recommend this hotel.
