We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very helpful and friendly staff. In the center of the Old City (Plaka) there is plenty of shopping and restaurants on quaint narrow streets. It is an easy walk to the Acropolis as well.

Hotel in the heart of the city, very convenient to visit Athens.
Hotel clean, nice rooms but lacks a bit of soundproofing.
Hearty and diverse breakfast.

Nice location just a few minutes walk from Parthenon, in the heart of Plaka district, and just a few mins walk from Syntagma Square, Parliament building (changing of the guards) and many other attractions. Room simple but clean and totally adequate as a place to sleep (you're in Athens… how much time do you really want to spend in a hotel room? ). EXCELLENT free b'fast every morning with a variety of cold and hot foods. Nice lobby with plenty of seating areas and mini library for those down times when you don't want to be in your room. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was marginal — — sometimes didn't work, when it did work it wasn't very fast.

Very conveniently located in central Athens. Modern. Good breakfast. Free Wi-Fi.

What a wonderful centrally located hotel! It is in the centre of everything to do and see in Athens. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff where knowledgeable and friendly. The buffet breakfast was fantastic also. I would highly recommend staying here.

Standard room is very comfortable. All fixtures are modern and well maintained. Rooms serviced and toiletries refreshed daily. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast included. Full breakfast buffet, hot and cold choices. Food was excellent. Nice rooftop patio. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Hotel is centrally located in Athens. Plenty to do within short walking distances. Would definitely recommend!

Hermes Hotel is definitely the best! Central to Acropolis and other sites. Bed comfortable, nice, clean room. Best breakfast ever! You won't get a breakfast like this anywhere! Huge selection of cooked, salads and pastries. Free luggage storage. Free Wi-Fi. Complimentary Coffee, Tea and biscuits after you've checked out. Hospitable, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely deserving of more stars. I'll always stay here next time!

Room not soundproof. View on walls. Breakfast correct and possible to take it before an early departure to the airport.

Very clean hotel with very friendly staff. The location is perfect for exploring the old town of Athens, the centre and many ancient cities. In the vicinity there are many high quality bars and cafes, as well as many high quality restaurants and Grillbars.
We will definitely come back.

This hotel overall has been good. The complimentary Wi-Fi is patchy but works well at times. The breakfast is tasty and varied however if staying for longer than two or three days it is quite repetitive. The rooms are clean and modern with large wardrobe space and a working fridge. There is a balcony (with bad views in our room — just to the small street outside). The bathroom is nice and the complimentary shower gel, soaps and shampoos smell great, however the one complaint we'd have with the bathroom is that the shower guard on the bath is too small, meaning the (very powerful) shower always made the bathroom floor soaking wet. We asked for a double bed and we kind of got one… The hotel have obviously got no rooms with an actual double bed so they got two singles and put them together, holding together the two beds with sheets. The bed was comfy and very large, albeit there was a small indentation down the middle from where the two smaller beds met, but this wasn't too bad. Downstairs they have a good reception area with chess, a library, seating and a bar with free biscuits, tea and coffee. The staff were friendly. There is also a very nice (and romantic if you're alone) roof garden on the top floor. There is a slightly obstructed but still nice view of the acropolis from here.

Price/performance Okay breakfast varied.

This hotel is very nice. Although the room was small, it was adequate and very clean. Our room even had a balcony with a table and two chairs. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. I forgot to pack an electrical adaptor. When I asked where I could buy one the lady at the front desk gave me one to borrow. The breakfast was quite good and should appeal to most tastes. The hotel is in the city center within walking distance to most attractions.

Nice hotel in very good location. Just a little walk from historic monuments and city center with large selection of restaurants. Rooms were cozy and clean, and extra plus for the personnel, who were most polite and friendly. I strongly recommend.

We only stayed one night, but the location was fantastic. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and were a delight to deal with. Also the breakfast was amazing. Would have no hesitation in recommending this boutique hotel to anyone. David Sydney.

Decent for the price and location. They did try and give us a surcharge for an extra occupant per night because my friend visited for an hour midday, once.

Everything you need. Cheap laundry service, great breakfast, comfortable rooms. Perfect for its price and star rating.

Fantastic little hotel a short walk away from Plaka district and Syntagma. Hotel was kept exceptionally clean. Breakfast was your standard international breakfast that caters to all. Front of house staff were excellent and very helpful with things like storing excess luggage behind the front desk. The standard rooms are small — but the same as what you would get in most hotels in the same part of Athens. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.

Upon our Peloponnese bicycle tour we had a night there. Moderate price, Friendly staff. This hotel is nearby the popular Plaka — Syntagma district.

We have just spent 4 nights at Hotel Hermes and were very impressed. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the staff very polite and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is extensive and is available over 3 hours each day. You are also welcome to go onto the rooftop garden of their sister hotel, (the Plakka), for a stunning 360 degree view of the whole city including the Accropolis. We recommend viewing this at night.

Good considering 3 stars. Fairly quite, still in good conditions. Generous breakfast, good position being central. Positive notes: — central location — breakfast — good curtains light insulation — reasonably silent — AC engine offers sgilent mode Negative notes: — only half of the shower has glass panel, so to avoid the mess, you have to be careful — no double bed, two singles one next to the other with free movement and a considerable gap between the two mattress — the shower's towel are too small — TV has few channels and many didn't work.

My son and I stayed overnight at this hotel this past June, before we sailed on Carnival Vista. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The room was good size and the hotel is so strategically located 15 minutes walking distance to the acropolis. The Hermès Hotel is surrounded by so many restaurants to choose from. Of course, Greek food is the best. The breakfast was delicious. My son and I had a great time. If we get a chance to go back to Athens, we will definitely stay at Hermès. Thank you staff!

The best hotel! Quite close to Syntagma Square. There are some stores and restaurants on the street so it doesn't seem dangerous to walk around at night. Very nice staff and great breakfast. Room was also great! Neat bathroom and comfortable&large bed. Even if you have to leave early in the morning before breakfast hour, you can still eat as they offer some food (except scramble egg or salad). Highly recommended:)

Very friendly and hielfsbereites staff. Hotel room was small but very clean. Hotel location and the beds very comfortable. There was always coffee and biscuits and also the breakfast was very extensive. The roof terrace was opened in December, you have a beautiful view of the Acropolis there.
I can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience!
