Yesterday we drove past the restaurant spontaneously and because of the good reviews. The first impression was already somewhat clouded, because my friendly "Good Day" was not reciprocated. The question of a table for 4 people was answered unkindly by the service staff. Only after another patient enquiries did I receive the answer from the somewhat annoyed waiter, ". If I had reserved, otherwise not. ". And already he was — still something incomprehensible buzzing past me. On another two-time inquiries, we were offered, just as unkindly, a place in a dark room. Unwilling to accept this tragedy, I thanked and said goodbye.
To be honest, I have not experienced anything like this before. This could certainly happen to me in a snack shop, but here I did not expect THAT.
As the saying goes: "I was in this restaurant twice: the first and the last time".

Great Restaurant with Austrian inspired menu. Very cozy atmosphere in the rooms of an old windmill and friendly service. I had the best wiener schnitzel here for a long time! Just perfect.

Vorweg ein kleiner Hinweis: meine Rezension liest sich vielleicht in manchen Teilen etwas negativ. Das soll sie aber keineswegs sein, die vier Sterne zeigen das ja auch. Ich sehe nur, dass das Restaurant wirklich viel Potential hat und wünsche mir, dass dies auch genutzt wird. Deshalb handelt es sich hier um "Jammern auf höchstem Niveau". Am 25.02.2018 war ich wieder einmal zum Abendessen in der Pirschmühle in Hamfelde. Die Mühle ist von Außen ein echter Hingucker, denn sie ist sehr gut in Schuss und wirkt gepflegt. Parkplätze findet man bequem direkt vor dem Restaurant. Beim Eintreten fällt leider etwas unangenehm auf, dass der Vorraum etwas nach Klostein riecht. Das liegt allerdings einfach daran, dass von diesem Raum links die Toilettenräume abgehen. Vielleicht wäre es dem Betreiber aber möglich, etwas gegen den Geruch zu unternehmen. Im Restaurant konnte ich mir auf Nachfrage einen Tisch aussuchen. Der große Raum ist toll hergerichtet: schöne Bilder an den Wänden, alte Gerätschaften an der Decke und dicke Holzbalken vermitteln ein uriges Gefühl und laden zum Verweilen ein. Die Tische waren stilvoll eingedeckt. Die Karte wurde schnell an den Platz gebracht und die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen. Nach meinem letzten Besuch hat sich die Karte positiv verändert: der Inhalt ist ähnlich strukturiert, aber auf Werbung hat man komplett verzichtet. Sehr schön. Die Speiseauswahl ist gut, allerdings gibt es leider kaum Gerichte für Vegetarier.

Pleasant atmosphere due to buildings alone. Staff friendly and accommodating. Predominantly Austrian cuisine. Tastefully good. Wine list also includes Austrian wines.

We got married in the mill! From the first contact to the celebration, we were more than happy with everything. Every wish was fulfilled ' without any problems ', you feel very well cared for there. The whole organization around the wedding! Our 4-course meal was individually put together according to our wishes and tasted quite excellent, the catering was very warm, we felt very comfortable all around! Many thanks to the whole team, it was an unforgettable day!

Best venue around near Trittau / Hamfelde. Brunch is perfect!
