Very friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Very good breakfast incl. Sparkling wine.

The hotel is beautiful and staff are very friendly. The reception is only there between 7 AM and 9 PM.

We only have one day, but the preparation went great.
Acceptance of Hermes luggage and bicycles the day before our arrival.
Mrs Astrid Metzig is especially grateful for the great care of the luggage and the bicycles.

Beautiful and centrally located. Beautiful spacious rooms. Well-kept atmosphere but a bit overwrought and the furnishings a bit old. No parking spaces of your own. You simply park in the marketplace in front of the hotel. But you are not always lucky with free space.

Very good place to stay — was also bookable in the short term (single room with breakfast €85) a historic house. Breakfast is plentiful. Only downside. The hotel's car park is about 300m away.

In all respects brilliantly, excellent! From US full 5 * * * * * We felt very comfortable. Reception, kitchen, service and room service were top notch. The location of the hotel is ideal for all kinds of activities, such as Albrechtsburg or "Porzeline". :D

This was a very nice hotel, perfectly located. Very friendly staff, cosy rooms, nice breakfast.

Room was okay for one night, even though the décor is not so my style. The lamps seemed rather creepy. But it was all clean.

We were on a birthday dinner and were looking forward to a cozy evening with delicious food. The poultry liver from the appetizer menu is recommended. Unfortunately, the Cook's recommendation, Argentine beef hip steak, has probably landed in the same pan as the liver. Since we are regularly excited about a good steak, we were unfortunately very disappointed with the meat, look and taste. A pity that this Meißner restaurant could not convince.

A pleasant, beautiful hotel in the middle of the old town of Meißen. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent with a very good selection. To mention the bar opposite the hotel. Bar Crafts Meissen. Make sure you have a drink. A visit is worthwhile.

Wir waren zur Silvesterfeier im Hotel. Die Feier war gut organisiert. Buffett und Mitternachtsimbiss waren sehr lecker. DJ war gut. Können wir empfehlen.

We stayed from 26.5.2017-28.05.2017 to guest in this hotel. It is a very cosy hotel in the heart of the old town of Meissen. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and everything is clean. What I missed was a big mirror in the room. Breakfast was also OK. We would come back.

We were here for the golden wedding and everything was just fine, that staff is super.

A family hotel with lots of charm. Service was friendly and impeccable. The location in the centre of Meissen was triple A. Rooms were clean and well furnished. Breakfast was a treat.

The overall impression of the hotel and its staff is very positive. Friendly and attentive Service. The room was very nice and clean, even though it's through the roof something has been shrunk. The Breakfast was rich and there was something for every taste available. The Central location in the old town is another Plus, so everything is within walking distance and the car in the Parking lot could remain. The atmosphere in the Restaurant was attractive and radiated peace and comfort. The food was very good and tasty, and the drinks (our first of the Saxon wine! ) were also very well maintained. Fascinating was the large number of Messingleuchter and the shiny banister. The "Golden lion" is a very good Hotel, the I without compromising recommend.

The hotel makes a very beautiful old impression without which it acts ruined or down. It combines very beautiful there old with new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even really charming and also with wit and enthusiasm at work. Priced unfortunately very expensive. The bathroom was still fraught with some hairs that were not of us. The tub, the tub faucets and shower in the tub was more ugly. The drain of the tub was rusted and not invited to linger therein. The look did not match the rest of the hotel and was completely inappropriate and rather shabby. Nevertheless, we were happy there. Except for the bathroom and the rather expensive price a nice hotel with good staff.

Freundlicher Empfang, umsichtiger und prompter Service. Nettes Ambiente, komfortables Zimmer, feines Essen im Restaurant und Frühstück. Einziger Wermutstropfen: die vorgängige Anfrage meiner Geschäftskollegin für mich wurde am Telefon sehr unfreundlich entgegen genommen — schade.
