Close to train station and city center. Cleanliness is okay as long as you do not look under the bed :-) for the price you can recommend it.

That food s supply and drink offer were good. Clean sheets and rooms.

There were two of us and wanted something central and you get that too. The breakfast was really good. Of course there are better stays, but this is just a hostel, not a 4-star hotel. If you're just there to sleep, that's clear. As a family, I might not recommend it. It's pretty close to the main station and you can hear every passing train when you get a room towards the street. On the first night, we were also woken up in the middle of the night because some young men ran down the hallways shouting loudly and hitting doors. Best environment for children? Not really. For young people looking for a cheap place to stay? Sure.

It's centrally located, the rooms are okay and the staff nice. Only the breakfast was not so or so. There was no space and we had to wait for a long time. If you're tied to schedule, that's crap.
Otherwise everything was great.

We had a family room on the 5th floor. It was clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is great, you are in 10minutes walk at the main train station and the S-Bahn.
There is something for everyone at the breakfast buffet.

My aunt, my uncle and I spent a nice weekend in Dresden. The hostel is located in the immediate vicinity of the main train station + city center. We could see a lot. The staff of the a&o-Hostel in Dresden is very friendly and the service is accommodating. My aunt and I will be back in Dresden on 4.7.2021 to perform a concert in the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion, which is also very easy to reach on foot from there. Therefore, we will check in with you again.

I was with my girlfriend from 27.01. To 03.02. In the hostel… at this time was rebuilt or renovated. We still thought it was great. Throughout nice staff, delicious cocktails and breakfast was also very good. Is nothing unusual, but in my opinion it is enough. Very central location. We will definitely visit this hostel again.

This hotel is charging small children touristic taxes even though the city of Dresden does NOT collect any touristic taxes from children under 18 years! Rude! We told the reception, but they still insisted on the payment.

The hotel is simply nice staff super friendly no matter what is any time one since I definitely like to come back.

The room was tidy, clean and quiet. There is no reason to complain.
The breakfast was excellent, sufficient and plentiful. Very helpful and friendly staff. The staff tried very hard to support us in our concerns, which also worked out great. Thank you.

For travelers, that's what you need. It's a great room. Lingerie. Clean. Convenient. No claims. Nearby the shop is nice and cheap.

Pretty central. Not too far from the Hauptbahnhof. Rooms not bad. Breakfast good.

3 nights stay. Okay room size for four people. Everything was clean. Surprisingly good for the price we paid. We also visited the rooftop "Sky-Bar" which was nice as well, with a great view.

The hostel is a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient. Prices are reasonable — for a room for 2 people paid 105 euros and 13 euros tourist tax (as we were told). The room is clean, there is a TV, shower, toilet, towels, shampoos.
Of the cons:
1. Dirty floor, you can see that the room was removed but not complete;
2. The windows overlooked the railway, sleeping with the windows open is simply unbearable because of the noise of the trains.
3. Hearing of course — the main negative. Everything that is happening in the corridor, neighboring rooms you will certainly hear, even heard people kittens suitcase floor above the corridor.

Very convinient located hotel with nice service. The breakfast is worth the price. Rooms are convinient and clean. Bathrooms are clean as well and look modern. Would stay there again.

Here is a good place to book a bed cheaply. The service is polite and friendly.

10-15 minutes of walk away from Dresden main intercity bus stop, this hostel is perfect for a quick stay in the city. The area is quiet and gave an impression of an underdeveloped patch of an otherwise modern city. Room is clean and spacious, cheap (book through their websites), lockable closets (without the lock itself, though), bathroom and toilet inside, elevator, and 24-hours reception. Be warned that the price you see when you book sometimes did not include bed sheets, though.

The hostel was good. Bathrooms were clean. The receptionists were quite helpful. 24*7 at the desk. They even helped me book a cab early morning. My roommates were as well friendly. Nothing I can complain of. Worth the money. The hostel is quite close to the train station. Its walkable from train station, also from city centre. Would recommend the hostel.

Very nice and clean rooms. A bit noisy. The road was very noisy, as the rails were about 50m away. Behind out quiet. Dogs are allowed even after registration. Location is perfect. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast has good value for money.

Negative: Very noisy and bad behaviour of many students. So a little lacked the rest. Floor in room not cleaned, leftovers of hair and crumbs.

Horrible, teeny rooms, one has trouble placing his suitcase somewhere. The stupid thing about the suitcase is that you are forced to live out of the suitcase with a missing cupboard and only 2 hangers for the wardrobe, which of course is difficult because you can't lie down anywhere. The walls of the room urgently needed a new painting, on the pillow were hair and the toilet I cleaned before the first use, on the edge were hair, the glasses were not neatly clean, I had to take Sagrotan to help.
According to the staff, all rooms are equally equipped, I was already in another A&O hotel, which had significantly larger, better equipped and clean rooms!

Breakfast is included in the basement, there it is very cramped and warm and unfortunately completely crowded at breakfast time! For me the hotel is no longer in question, no matter how cheap it is! Then I prefer to spend more and do not have to annoy me about lack of cleanliness or room facilities!

The rooms are dirty, the food is tasteless and you cannot do anything after 22:00. I'm not saying that you should be loud and listen to music at midnight, but why should't I stay in the rooms of my friends even if we are quietly talking?

The location is a bit far from the center. About 15 blocks. The attention was very good but we had booked a suite of double bed and got one of two beds girls. They argued that the pictogram in the reserve is not representative and PO can touch any of the options. It was a shame they couldn't fix it. The rest is fine.

Nice place. Quiet and nice breakfast is basic but it has all fruit cereals bread sliced cheese. It's worth the €7 they charge.

Hotel is very central. Is on the road and at night you can also hear the trains passing by. Central is called in about 15 minutes to the old town and also to the shopping mile. Buses and trains depart in all directions and with a day or family ticket also inexpensive. There are single, double and multi-person rooms. Cleanliness sometimes leaves to be desired. You can book with breakfast. Towels and sheets are provided. But you'd better ask. Rooms have shower and toilet.

The location was good. 5 minutes walk to Central station, otherwise you could use the bus in front of the door or take the tram a road further. Next door was directly Aldi. Unfortunately I was not satisfied with the cleanliness.
Our room was very cramped, before it was obviously two rooms, probably for single. But we had two bathrooms. Not suitable for a longer stay because you didn't even have a bar.

A great place for people who need a good rest and in the morning to go to see the city and sights. Lovely staff, very clean and quiet. Liked the location, there are Luggage storage, 24 hour coffee and tea, and other necessary stuff.

For a short stay I opted for the A&O at the central Station. The location was excellent for my plan and cleanliness. Price/direction of course top! Unfortunately there is no bicycle garage as written on the website.

Our 6-bed room was completely adequate from the furnishing and the cleanliness was given everywhere. The staff is also very nice and quick on the legs. For one night, also due to the location, there is nothing better.

I had for 1 night 1 single room. It was all clean, and the size was enough for 1 night. Unfortunately, my "room key" never worked when I left the room and wanted to go back in. I had to go down from the 7th floor to the reception every time, where the card was reactivated. The reception staff was friendly and patient. I would stay there again!

The hostel I located near the train station and have good and cheap rooms so it ist perfect vor a short trip without spending to much time and money.

Not recommended. Rooms wasn't neatly cleaned (tiles had brown splashes and the corners weren't wiped with). In the hallway and bathroom it stank to Gulli. We had booked a 3 bed room for 3 people and were able to get the 3 bed ourselves. What kind of service is that! Once and never again!

Rooms are clearly too cramped at full occupancy, with 6 people 2 chairs, where should people lay down their belongings? No real lounge to read in the evening or something. Very central and reasonably priced when people are flexible!

Too expensive, beds bad
A double room? Well, two single rooms, so 2 showers and toilets. That's nice. But everything as small as a prison cell. No cupboard, 2 handles for 2 people. Worst of all, the beds: they wandered apart, the mattresses wandered. Spring core, but the steel springs are clearly noticeable. Pillow too small. At the head end two sockets, but only one had electricity. The switch for the bedside lamp had to be searched behind the bed. The "Sky Bar": Loud music and very bright. Conclusion: The good location (near the station) is used ice-cold for an inflated price.

This is an interesting hotel! A student who does not yet have a room can still go!

Nice staff and courteous. Room very simple but okay and clean. Enough for a short city trip and the breakfast is quite good as well. Unfortunately it was quite loud on the corridor from the door slaming or voices at night.

Very practical, clean and central. Just a short walk from the town center and right across the street you have the central train station. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. The price was reasonable that we were with the kids in one room but they charged us no extra money for the kids' accommodation.

Very close to the station and 10 minutes from the center with U bus you get anywhere, but the bugs in the room can't be tolerated and what's more they could wash some time the bathroom.

Does the job well. Young atmosphere. Food is a okay! A few flies but good service and clean.

The facilities were nice and cleaned well, but they TRIPLE booked our hotel room and gave the two other parties keys and complete access to our room! We were staying there for another night and all of our things were in our room and they gave random strangers access. It was ridiculous.

I have a mixed evaluation, I will start with the positive then move to the negative… positive points: the staff is really nice and professional, they are organized with a safe at the reception, when I asked for a kettle I got one for 10 euros that were returned to me upon returning the kettle, when I complained about the noise I was moved to another room. The room was rather clean, the facilities were quite good for the price. Negative points: people were making a lot of noise at the corridor and at their rooms. This is not A&O's fault, BUT — — — some of it is. First of all, if they get a complaint during the night they should make sure the noise stops. Moreover, the doors of both the corridor and each room slams very hard and it makes a very strong noise inside the room. Also, the hostel is close to the train track so also a bit noisy. The pillows were not comfortable, and the beds were perhaps too soft. To conclude: If you can sleep easily with noise, then this is the place for you!

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel. I had a lot of thought about the bad reviews but they help to find it good. Because it really isn't that bad.
Well, noise is, trains are running and it's really noisy. But that's it with 3 kids at home too.
We were able to sleep very well. Despite the constant doors.
The young guests are always there … and I don't think it would have been any different for us at a young age.
The room (our second thing that was immediately rebooked after a card mishap without a long waiting time) was sufficiently furnished. Bathroom and shower were separated. I found that more than practical.
The room has a sufficient size, per bed one cupboard. Enough chairs and tables.
The breakfast was better than home, but the choice on both days was more than sufficient.
The coffee was just for coffee beginners who don't know how good coffee tastes. But thanks to the good location, you could also get it at the train station or in one of the many cafés.
We, children and parents, like to come back. But then only with the voucher. Because, despite our satisfaction, we wouldn't pay more for it. As sorry as we are.

We booked 4 rooms and were specifically said that we will only arrive at 21:00. As we stood at 21:00 and it was us that the system has cancelled the booking and that only one room is now available said. We would have to quickly find a new hotel at 21:00 with two small children.
Definitely not recommended!

The first fright when I came into the room. The previous occupant having taped the smoke detector and the whole room to genebelt. When I opened the window I noticed ash residue on the bed linen. Furthermore, I realized mould in corners and it troofte from the ceiling. The TV was defective, because the previous tenant obviously did a fun, to strip the cable and cut up. If you look into the bathroom, rust in the shower, standing water in the sink and the carcass of a bird were to register. The toilet was still droppings. Stay away from this cheap flophouse!

It started so that the price which was busy not agreed. None of the benefits of our online booking was booked on the spot. So for now the confusing email tested and posted on the spot what has been missing. Well that went. The staff at the check-in was not really friendly and tried to rid us quickly. The rooms were quite adequate for the price range, but not clean. On the ground, dust was by several weeks and in the sink and the toilet seat was hair of the previous tenant. The breakfast was OK in the price range but the problem with the cleanliness was again here. The sky bar would be to praise. Priced completely in order (19-20 o'clock HappyHour for cocktails) and here, the staff has behaved exemplary. The roof terrace invites you to turn off.

This hostel is well located: a 20-minute walk from the centre of Dresden.
The staff are welcoming.
The rooms are old but very clean.

To make it short, I can only say that if you relaxed in Dresden and want to stay without much fuss, you probably should look at another Hostel/Hotel.

Finally, I can only say that you should give a wide berth to this "hotel" if one wishes to enjoy his time in Dresden.

Once you can say that the rooms at first glance were quite respectable and orderly. Stayed for a night in a 6 bed room. Rooms we neat and clean. Restroom we also good but hair dryer were missing which was available in A&O Munchen. Wi-Fi signal was weak. Except that everything was fine.

Very simple and small room, but furnished with the bare necessities. The Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good! The Hotel is located close to the main train station and is easily reached on foot. However, major flaw: the bathrooms have no Lüftungsmöglichkeit. This will be after the morning showers etc when re-Entering a Dampfwand beaten to death, also others may be less nice smells not very well escape.

My family was very warmly received. The employees are aware of the bad critiques on the Internet conscious and try to make everything possible to change that. Since it takes about viruses, or Trojans not to wonder. All in all, really only Jugendherbergsqualität, and there are youth hostels that are safe with this quality not to be compared.

Great hostel with every feature you could want: Bike rental, washing machine and tumble dryer, TV on rooms, rooftop pub, bus station in front of the building, near the central train station and it's also cheap.
