Super tasty food! best in the entire Eifel.

We were recently eating in the restaurant. After we good 2 (! ) Having had to wait hours for our food, this was not as hoped, my rump steak was unfortunately not as ordered "medium", I got burnt onions and my side dish was completely forgotten. Price/performance is not justified!

It was only a short holiday with 3 nights at the Hotel Schneider — but it felt like we had spent a longer holiday there. Everything exceeded expectations: the service, our rooms, the food — which we enjoyed both on the beautiful large terrace and in the cozy restaurant, friendly served by the competent staff, who were always helpful on the spot. Oh yes, the good, very rich breakfast buffet must be mentioned. And that I slept well! However, we did not have time for the tempting wellness offers. Maybe in the autumn, because we would like to come back. The area around the Maare is ideal for hiking! Finally, we also liked the price of all this.

You terrace in front of the house is quite cozy, the ambience inside is a bit old, the service usually tries. Nevertheless, I am happy to come here. Simply because the card is quite large and always changes, and the food is good and inexpensive by and large.

Culinary cuisine is not a feat of glamour, but it is down-to-earth at fair prices. Incidentally, the cake selection is large, so that the stop is also worthwhile in the afternoon.

I can't speak for the house as a hotel here, but as a restaurant for a stop after an extensive hike it is really recommended. Visually, this hotel makes a clean and well-kept impression. The choice in the map is large and rich. It tasted really good for all of us! The bedieung was friendly and despite the large crowd still quite fixed.

Very nice and friendly hotel at reasonable prices! We were able to express every wish and we always felt well-kept. The rooms were really super class and the food we can only recommend to anyone. Very nice and efforted trainee! We recovered very well during our short break. The Wellness oasis may be a bit small, but it is enough for this weekend.

The rooms I can't judge because I just lingered on a coffee and cake there. Both I felt very delicious, apparently the cakes are homemade. The prices are very fine and the staff attentive and friendly.

We were three and wanted to have lunch here on a sunny day. The restaurant was moderately and well attended, on the terrace were about two thirds of the tables occupied while in restaurants no one and only a couple sat at the bar. After exactly 30 minutes we waited for the waitresses (four pieces) to have noticed us at all. The then order water was not brought to us at all and one did not come back to accept our order and then we went.
So far we have never experienced such a bad service!

The menu actually reads well. Too good maybe? In any case, the "table Spitz soup" disappointed us both in taste and with the promised encampments. For 6, €90 too little for the offered performance.

Small room. Blanket dirty. Receptionist (probably owner) rude. Fast Wi-Fi only for a fee. Honorary salvation, the ladies of the house were always friendly.

Very nice modern rooms in some (mostly in new building) with excellent view of the Maar. Almost all rooms top renovated, with appealing wet room and high quality equipment. Very good food with local food. Highly recommended.

The food was tasty, but the serves were a little small and over-priced, and we waited an age for it.

The restaurant's outdoor seating area was nicely decorated & the food was good. However, the service was just awful. The waitress brought our drink order minus the beer I ordered, when I inquired she implied that I never ordered it, but would bring one soon. After waiting awhile she came back with an alkoholfrei beer for some reason. So, for the third time I asked for a hefeweizen. More waiting, this time she blamed the long wait on the bartender. I waited over 30 minutes for one beer. When the food arrived my mother was given a bowl of rice instead of the potatoes she ordered. This time our waitress blamed the kitchen. She took no responsibility and never apologized for anything. One family left and walked to the restaurant across the street after sitting for 15 minutes and never being greeted. We watched another man complain & leave because they had been waiting 20 minutes and no one ever came to their table. So, unless you want to be treated as an inconvenience or completely ignored, absolutely avoid this place.

Stayed in a timber wagon (Schaeffer wagon) for one night, with friends. Atmosphere was great, breakfast included was great. Town was sleepy, pretty, very green, quiet. Had amazing dinner of traditional German food with local game (some nice veg options, too)

Very friendly staff, delicious and extensive breakfast buffet. We have missed anything, and if you have special requests you will be immediately implemented. Our evening meal was also delicious and the price is acceptable. Very clean and also it has a good selection of Spa, only the relaxation area is somewhat scarce with 5 beds.

Sehr freundliches Persinal, leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet. Wir haben nichts vermisst und wenn man Sonderwünsche hat werden die sofort umgesetzt. Unser Abendessen war auch lecker und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist annehmbar. Wellnessbereich sehr sauber und auch hier hat man eine gute Auswahl, lediglich der Ruhebereich ist mit 5 Liegen etwas knapp bemessen.

Very long waiting times. After ordering the drinks came 20 minutes later, and after an hour and 15 minutes, despite demand for a service, found that the food was forgotten. So not to be recommended when busy.

Attracted by the full-bodied menu we were dining there only once and it will stay there.
Boiled meat (incredibly) was salad in a Tin, lamb in the bed of Hay, cutlets in herb crust with fresh mushrooms and sniper with canned mushrooms finished with gravy.
The complaint were offered to a desert which we refused politely.
Here, we can only agree the negative reports about the food.
Never again.

As a mountain bike guide by Eifel bike we return here regularly in the framework of our courses and tours. We and our bike guests are always very satisfied. The pasta portions are huge and delicious no problem a lookup. The staff always pleasant and quick.

In the restaurant a nice menu, unfortunately the quality of the food the claim in any way withstand.
There's not much to say it was not simply about the service in the restaurant!
A quarter of an hour we waited for our drinks, on demand, whether they were eventually forgotten, we got the answer from the male trainee "you've seen, the terrace is full, because you need to have already understanding. "

(The next night we went Maarblick Cafe for dinner in the neighbouring hotel. Beautiful terrace with a view of Maar, nice service, great food — so can it go. ) perfect.
The breakfast was comparatively mediocre.
The buns soft and wabbelig, the eggs warm and soft and even the "inevitable? " Table waste bucket on the tables.
On our demand after a fork to eat the melon slices, we got handed out but actually two cake forks.
The room door was stuck and read is hard opening, this deficiency was, as well as the defective light bulb in the bathroom, not fixed even after two days.
The suite (UHU room) was spacious, terrace furniture is available, unfortunately the seats is there no real fun.
Directly in front of the (expensive) rooms runs the route/road to the campsite. At each arrival / departure, no trace is more of calm and good air.
Morning washing and showers, the rest of the day to wash, you can watch the campers, but this sight in the room have, so it is not the blinds.

Food OK. Service lousy: lots of waiting and interaction with customers suggested a lack of interest to us. It took them about 15 minutes to bring our bill, and when we asked if we could pay by card the grumpy manager simply responded "If it is above 25 Euros" without even looking at me. Go elsewhere is our advice.

To have on a day trip to the lakes, we returned to the Hotel Schneider. The location directly at the Maar has for us this is the perfect Hotel to choose and we were not disappointed. The Service was friendly and the rooms inviting. The homemade cakes tasted amazing and at the end we are there longer than we wanted to. Devid Squirrel.
