The place is ideal for a quiet break, I had booked a panoramic room (after reservation request I got a better price than directly on the internet booking platform), it was spacious, bathroom and bed were good standard. The rather beautiful balcony is shared — separated only by a hinted partition — with the guests of the adjoining rooms. Numerous ashtrays invite smokers to treat themselves to a cigarette — even if the smoke then moves into the rooms of the neighbors. Surely we could solve it smarter.
A total of only 3 stars because the hotel promises on its homepage much more than it can redeem in reality: the welcome drink was forgotten, in the room was a kettle for tea and coffee, but only exactly one tea bag (for countless pieces of sugar? ), that announced daily fresh fruit in the room was limited to an apple and a banana on the day of arrival, both the breakfast and the dinner as part of the half board were very loveless, standard spice and (half) finished products from the wholesale market, tables not covered, Ashtray full, you always have to ask for salt and pepper. I was expecting a small hotel where I was greeted with a certain personal flair and a little hospitality, but there was no sign of either. The staff was correct but neither friendly nor attentive. And beware: After 20:00 in the evening, the kitchen remains closed without exception — which according to the staff applies to the whole place.

The service could be better e. G. Suite the water or fruit daily. Otherwise great.

Poor service. Wanted to order coffee and cakes there on the terrace.
Have waited half eternity. No operation has been seen. Service looks different. Then unfinished things have gone. Super!

Very friendly service and delicious, tasty cakes. Due to its location right on the sea shores Maar is very well suited for hikers, weekend trippers and motorcyclists who want to discover the Eifel and enjoy nature.

Rooms are a little out of date that do not fit the exterior look of the hotel. Vegetarians are not really spoiled in terms of the proposals that are made…

Sit comfortably in the evening with a glass of red wine in front of the oven, a pure delight!
We also enjoyed the tranquility very much.
Also we could elicit so many good tip for cooking unbelievably enjoyed we also have the massages, mud wrap and div. Other in new, very nice treatment rooms.

We were a weekend in the Maarium and enjoyed it very much. Also in the bad weather we could enjoy a quiet, really cosy hotel our beautiful, clean room with great, albeit rainy, view.
We had the feeling of being with friends, the sauna was fine and the food and service were great.
Unbeatable for the price.

Be sure to try this hotel once and enjoy the family atmosphere with insanely delicious food. Don't look at how old the rooms are. Everything was top clean and I will definitely come back again.

Very nice quiet hotel. You can relax here very well. The rooms are quite fine. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

Upon arriving at this hotel, I found it was closed and locked. It was fairly late at night so I was willing to let this slide. I eventually managed to get through to someone to let me in, the proprietor obviously doesn't live onsite because about 10 minutes later, a car screeched to a halt at the hotel and I was let in. Upon trying to check in, I was told that I didn't have a booking, despite me having an email confirmation with reference number. The Wi-Fi is abysmal, it is barely even suitable for checking emails. The breakfast is basic and the restaurant cannot follow simple instructions. I ate in the hotel in the evening for a couple of nights, the first night I had pork, the next I had steak and even though I specifically asked for my food very well done, with no pink at all, both nights my plate turned into a blood bath as soon as I cut into the meat.

Hotel to feel good, enjoy and relax in the nature. We were completely satisfied. Room, food, staff. Excursions in the vicinity without end. Facilities in order, location super — large balcony overlooking sea fields Maar — unique…!

Where hospitality is still a high priority. In the Maarium you must feel. Mr Dirk junk leads his house with passion. Everything perfect. Excellent food, very varied!

The staff is very friendly and also the menu of what we enjoy here in the evening was very good!
Located a stone's throw from the sea fields Maar away and it can be a pleasant trail off directly from the hotel, thank you again for the information!
Our room was situated to the side of the Maar and we had when we by the wander back again were comfortable sound a great view to the day allow.
What is no longer of course that gets you here still home-baked cake, ate long not so delicious cake!
Everything in the the price-performance ratio is all right here and we were very satisfied, only the weather could have been slightly better, but we still had fun!

Room: Penthouse room, carpet Tatty, bedside lamp broken, withered houseplant, remote control TV only on the second day, no mini bar, 4 bar, mini flat screen, no writing and no writing, glass door to the bathroom.
Balcony: rusted chairs, rattan partially broken, weathered mini balcony table, floor (wood planks) weathered, dirty, splinter risk separation to the next balcony (penthouse) with red and white chain, no complete separation to the neighbouring balcony (Privacy), unkempt conifers in containers.
Breakfast: Functional without highlight, unkind, only the bare essentials.
Service personnel: impersonal, no interest in the guest.
Hotel owners: no greeting, no idea, no interest in the guest.
Hotel: According to a service force from 21:30 closed, lift off, waiter was on the sofa in the guest area.

We spent a weekend at this hotel and were very disappointed.
Rooms:
The "penthouse" had nothing of a penthouse, but was a regular room (hardly bigger than a normal room and with continuous glass frontage to the balcony, which unfortunately were not equipped with curtains to the privacy). The establishment has come in the years, the grout in the bathroom mouldy, the walls had put cracks and the overall impression is that the hotel has been renovated years ago and is now resting. It meets most "Wanted and failed".

Very beautiful location directly at the Maar! TOP!
Cleanliness:
In our room we found very many animal hairs. The Hotel Manager just let us know that you would have no influence on when guests bring with their pets, dogs are allowed anyway.
Service:
Although we were seen entering the hotel, we had to wait about 15 minutes before the men at the bar counter had finished his cleaning and cleaning up and could devote us. The breakfast service we had to run after literally to get our place allocated by you. The service in the restaurant was far from satisfactory. Both waiters and owners showed rather apathetic to their guests.
The described hotel sauna turned out as a hardware store basement sauna, which is already crowded with 4 people. The garden is available to cool down. Here one is eye in eye with the restaurant visitors! Good appetite!

Very beautiful Eifel-Hotel. The house is ideal for Hiking or Cycling trips in the Eifel mountains. Also the Spa offer me after a strenuous hike very well-liked. Wonderful is also the view of the Meerfelder Maar at Breakfast. I recommend the Hotel Maarium in Meerfeld each of the Eifel and holidaymakers like to continue.

We were for Hiking in the Eifel, and in the Hotel Maarium usual. The Hotel is very nice, clean and hospitable, the food and Service were excellent. We recommend the Hotel gladly further.

Beautiful, large, clean rooms.
A very quiet hotel (ask if not a celebration of the Maar is).
The breakfast is good and varied. The restaurant is absolute top class.
The hotel Maarium is absolutely recommended.
