Small nice hotel quietly located and yet central.

Nice hosts, delicious food, very clean rooms.

Very friendly operator, fantastic food, fantastic location, friendly staff. It is highly recommended. We'll be back.

A hotel located in the quiet and not far from the city centre. Breakfast is super plentiful, the à la carte menu is a delight.
The rooms are very nice and especially very decent price. I recommend without hesitation.

What I have to complain about is the restaurant! I ate pork fillet with two röstitaler and a side salad for 17, 50€. The size of the portion is really small. The salad is just green with two pieces of tomato and then simple yoghurt sauce. I even go : (

The hotel is halfway close to the city (15 minutes walk) and yet very quiet. Due to the constant traffic jams in Trier, it is still not so easy to reach by car, and because of the slightly higher location, it is not the ideal place to stay even for cyclists. Our room there, however, was beautiful and modern. And the staff are also extremely friendly. Parking is also unproblematic.

Nice and reasonably quiet location. Rooms are pretty basic and the bathrooms have the feel of an institution for the insane. All very functional.

We made a family short trip to Trier and were looking at our 5 year old son in the European Hall Fireman Sam.
Finally, an overnight stay in Trier should follow.
But we would have saved them better and would have driven the 90 km home.
But it should be a special weekend and the city Forest Hotel has not contributed positively.
The location is good and relatively quiet.
The building and the facility have nothing to do with the website either.
The house looks run down and unkempt.
The room was generously cut.
Although it was quite warm outside, it was very cold in the room and that stayed the whole night.
The worst part was that the room was totally noisy. Every toilet flushing from other rooms, every step in the hallway, was heard.
The door had a huge gap, so you could even hear conversations.
My husband and I have not been watching all night.
The breakfast was good!
We will not visit the hotel any more and do not give any recommendation.

The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. Cosmetic repairs are required.

Rooms could have used better cleaning, heating was nonfunctional for the first two days. Overall a too expensive compared to other options.

The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. 10 min Time spent in the bathroom. And after the 2 visit, revise everything! Bathroom also great! We would love to come back!

Very nice staff, quiet in forest, good breakfast, free parking right in front of the hotel also suitable for vans, at any time gladly again.

I thought it was great. Spent 2 nights there and will be back to sleep. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast was also great. What you have to bear in mind is that dogs are allowed in the hotel which is not a problem for me. I have to give a negative point about the parking lot. Is quite small for the size of the hotel. All in all I liked it.

It was a nice big clean room that had consumed there one night. The bed was just right for me at least not too soft ☺. Breakfast the next morning plentiful and good nothing to complain about. Staff friendly and courteous. K Parking available in front of the hotel.
From me a further development.

No frills hotel with dated rooms and simple beds as well as thin towels. Some hairs were on towels and in the bathroom. Shower is in the middle of the bathroom. One shower curtain was missing, and we had to decide whether to spray the toilet paper or the sink.

Value for money.
Breakfast included comfortable rooms. About 10 minutes from the city centre by car, located on the edge of the forest.

Good hotel, prices reasonable. Quiet location on the outskirts of the city and yet close to the centre.

Unfortunately, our expectations were not met in any way. Since we had our dog (registered) who was not allowed into the breakfast room or in the bar, this hotel was unacceptable to us. Our room was not cleaned and the beds made by my wife. The breakfast buffet was emptied at 9:00 that guests only got leftovers. All in all, the house was in the smallest way in line with the normal standard we know from many other Three Star Hotels. What a pity.

Super room. Nice staff. Even the change from the room is absolutely hassle-free. Breakfast was very rich and varied.

W-LAN in the room very bad, only near reception possible; There, the phone rings continuously without anyone walking.
Rooms beautifully large, and very clean in all areas.

The hotel is idyllic on the mountain and invites you to hike. A car is an advantage as buses rarely run on weekends. Parking is available. The standard rooms are functional and have a disabled, quite spacious bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are easily accessible by stairs or by elevator. The breakfast buffet is rich and good. Since we had to leave early due to illness, we would especially like to thank the uncomplicated approach of the employees.
A recommendation for a traveller who does not want to live directly in the centre of Trier and values a balanced value for money.

Very getting used to. Bathrooms are handicapped accessible. Room very small. Cleanliness "Well". Were going to check out the same evening. Very friendly staff. Were very anxious to find a solution. The solution was that the late shift of the reception in the evening at 22.00 O'Clock still cleaned our bathroom.

Although clearly catering to a much older crowd (seat in shower, mechanical "sit-up" beds, and high seat toilet), it was clean and comfortable. Very nice breakfast in the morning.

Nice and friendly. Physical surroundings a bit worn down and cleaning not top notch. Good breakfast buffet, but rudimentary restaurant and bar. Would have been nice with more full service as hotel is outside walking distance from city center for most.

Holiday at the hospice. That's how it feels. Everything is unloving, handicapped bath and bed (without handicap not a great thing). It smelled awfully after rotten eggs, sleep only went with open window. The Wi-Fi in the room did not work.

Size of the rooms very good. Could be better cared for, mold in the room corner and broken sinks are not nice. Friendly staff, good value for money. Breakfast could be upgraded.

The staff very friendly and helpful. We can't complain about breakfast! Unfortunately, the cucumber or tomato oäaber that is a matter of taste! Should we come to Trier once more then return to the City Forest Hotel!

Good location, good breakfast and free parking.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the price is good, and there is a decent-priced restaurant on site. All services are provided in german and english. It is located on a hill, around 3 km from downtown (Porta Nigra), which on one hand is good since it is calmer, but the closest bus stop is 400m away, so you eother have to walk up the hill a little (of you take the bus), a lot (if you don't), or have a car/taxi yake you there. The rooms are nice and clean. The TV has two channels in english (CCTB and BBC). There were some minor problems. There was some 'lag' in mt TV, so I couldn't watch it. My showerhead was dripping a little, and I didn't manage to make the safe worl by myself, but I didn't ask them to fix or help me with it, since it wasn't something necessary for me. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms, so it can get a little hot during the day, but opening the windows was enough for me. The Wi-Fi works fine. Overall, a good deal, specially regarding the price (it was way cheaper than the other hotels when I booked it). I would prefer somewhere closer to downtown, since I mostly walk when traveling, but if there where no other decent-priced hotels, I would definitely come back.

We were 4 people (55-64 years) during our bicycle tour in the city forest hotel.
Our comfort rooms was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately, it was the view from the room towards the garden. (Very mess).
The breakfast was on the rolls (we were the worst advance in 5 hotels. Crispy — absent. ) OK.
Cyclists should know that the hotel is about 1 km in top position.
Bikes can be parked in the night in the Garden House. Positive.

Clean and nice decorated rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast is great and also at the "Hotel Bar" (if you could call it that) had a night out, still a good selection of drinks.

Very good night in a huge room, great bathroom, and an opulent breakfast. Very calm and quiet, very clean, good staff. Only fly in the ointment, the rain that prevented us from discovering the beauties of Trier, and restaurant menus that are in German. A hotel to recommend.

Booking a room was quite impossible even after several requests per mail and phone! Nobody felt capable of confirming our reservation. What a pity.

Recommended because of the near location to the City. Have been an evening in the Restaurant Weisshaus for dinner for the offset, a stroke of luck. A window seat has a view on the Uferprommenade. Hotel food very tasty, only the operation is part out of it, or sometimes very harrsch.

The Stadtwaldhotel makes to its name all the honor. It is located in a small grove of trees on the outskirts of the city. Scarce 2km to the city centre. If you do not even want to go, creates the track is easy to walk or take the Bus in the 500m, his stop. Booked, I had a double room, which (according to information at the reception), at 12 o'clock should be available. Against 13 o'clock arrived, it was then that the room still needs to be cleaned and we are in the time, but please in the city to look around, should/could. As we then in the Afternoon back to the Hotel arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. Contrary to what you sometimes on other portals to reading gets, the room was spacious and clean. Also, it was already heated, so that we could rest easy. The bathroom was large and "polished". No Dirt, no dust, no mold and no body such as from the second Weltkriegt. The only small thing that bothered me: The view was of the Parking lot in front of the Hotel. While this is useful for people who have your car at a glance want to have, but I found it not really nice. "Quiet" is for the Hotel is still an understatement. Since the road only "for investors" is released, comes the (not existing) noise only by the few local residents and the guests of the hotel. So who would like to, could all day long, undisturbed sleep. Also the staff is very nice. I was positively surprised as me, the lady at the Breakfast buffet, on the second day asked if I 'as usual' (i. E.

Nice and quiet Hotel. Very nice rooms. The Service and the friendliness of all the staff, but also the leadership, are exceptional. Here is one really guest and not just "tolerated". The Preisl-performance ratio, also the food and drinks, I think is very good. The house, I can only recommend. Go there and feel at home.
