Great hotel — very friendly and competent staff. We immediately felt very comfortable — location of the hotel is perfect. 5 min in the city center all sights within walking distance — great breakfast everything fresh and tasty — better is almost not possible — we will definitely come back again.

Very centrally located hotel, unfortunately directly on a busy road. At night, however, the rooms are quiet. Room large with spacious bathroom. The building is not the latest, but everything is clean and well maintained. Parking behind the house is possible for a fee. Eat very well in the restaurant. Staff very nice and helpful.

We stayed there for 3 nights with breakfast and felt super good. There is really (almost) nothing to complain about. Ventilation of the internal toilet could be more effective. Apart from everything: spacious and equipped with all comforts, breakfast buffet with rich offer, elegant restaurant with tasty dishes and an all-round friendly and attentive staff. A very good address for your next visit to Trier.

Almost everything is perfect. Rarely experienced such relaxed and naturally friendly staff. Very pleasant.
A nice idea is to get a gift on days when you don't have to do a complete room cleaning. We stayed two nights on site and were happy to do without the cleaning.
Nice wellness area, if it was also a little warm under the roof. On the roof terrace of the room we were missing a parasol. Then we would probably have used them even more.
The breakfast buffet was according to the house with a very good and extensive selection. Fresh fruit was just as sweet and savoury and egg-prepared.
The city centre is just a traffic light crossing away.

My had her birthday at this location and this is her second time celebrating it there. The food was just fenominal. Their Schnitzel size is perfect. And they had a good selection of beer. The location is also very convenient to the bus station or walking distance to the river walk or to down town.

We were welcomed from the beginning, warmly. The Suite was great and the Breakfast buffet is sufficient and tasty. All in all, there were three very nice days there. At any time gladly again.

We were here over the weekend & stayed in a deluxe double room. The room was pleasantly big & quietly located to the courtyard. The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom modern. The booked parking space was Super & big enough.
Only the breakfast was "only" okay. Nice we found the honey of "own" bees, the rest was standard, the cake bought. You could do more here.
All in all, however, recommended. We'll come back.

This hotel covered everything we wanted to do on the trip. The location was perfect. Easy access to the center, a gas station store across the street so you can buy some supplies. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was just the right amount of space. The cutest thing — they leave a brown bag in the room and if you don't want the room cleaned, you hang it outside and they fill it with goodies. Environmentally friendly, yay! On our last night, we decided to hit spa. They've got a variety of things — that whirlpool is insane. I would recommend this hotel over and over.

The staff at the restaurant and the hotel itself is 1a. Always friendly and accommodating. The colleagues even got a present in the room, as there was an audible event right under the room (which was not disturbing, nevertheless great! ). If one does not want the room to be cleaned during the stay, a bag is attached to the latch, which is filled with regional products. I have never experienced! The room was great, however, in the single room comfort was in 5 steps from the door at the window, but now a little cramped, because the bed is also in the middle of the room and stands directly opposite a shelf in the room. In the morning at breakfast I can only advise to refrain from cucumbers or soft cheese. The breakfast was good and the breakfast was very good.

Very friendly and fast staff, but in no way intrusive. The quality of the food is very good, unfortunately one of the three pieces of cod was not clean cleaned and had ridges. The price is absolutely reasonable.

Fantastic experience. We come to trier once a year for the Christmas markets and this is our favorite hotel yet. The service was really lovely with great little touches to really put the experience over the top. The Frühstück was my favorite part; it had all the best things! Next time I want to try the bowling alley or the spa. The room smelled a bit odd at first but smelled normal after opening the window for a bit. The location was fantastic, pretty close to the city center.

The hotel is very comfortable, kind and very efficient attention by all personnel working there. It is located in a quiet place far from the crowded places, but walking distance from city center and all touristic locations. We were there on December 2017 and we think the price/quality ratio is very good. Not only when compared with other hotels in Trier, but also with other previous experiences we have in many European towns. For sure, a nice choice when staying in Trier.

Very friendly reception, everything clean and cozy, it is not far from the train station with the taxi only a few minutes, just over the Staße and one is after a few minutes walk right in the center Mitendrinn genial for a Wochenendtripp, we can only recommend it, and the Breakfast is also great.

Warm welcome. Room was clean and nice. Despite the construction site for the expansion of the underground parking lot there is ample parking space and no inconvenience. I'll be back.

The hotel-restaurant is located not far from the Trier Theatre and, since the kitchen is already open at 17h, you can come to a dinner here before. You will not be disappointed: price, quality and service are very good, the menu rich with seasonal offers.

The hotel is not bad, but it is way to expensive for what it offers. Be aware: the wellness, parking and breakfast and even the complementary bottle of water in the room all are charged as extra. This is not very clear. Also: The hotel actually has an old part which is in a state that is worse than most of the competition, especially for the price. The rooms are actually a lot smaller than they appear on the photo's. The way the hotel is represented on booking is quite a lot better than most of it is in reality. I honestly do not understand why this hotel is rated so highly on booking, and why the comments are as positive as they are. For Trier, there are better places to be found for the price or less.

There's nothing to complain about. Always stay here when visiting Trier. Location, service, breakfast top. All very uncomplicated and friendly.

Stayed on expenses so can't comment on value, but breakfast was good, room was smart and staff helpful. As somewhere which seems to cater to 60-y-o coach party travellers and cyclists it was a little staid, but one really cool feature was that by foregoing room servicing you get a gift of cookies, sweets or even Porta Nigra pasta!

Decent hotel, good place in comparison to the heart of Trier. Not specifially cheap. Beds are great!

This is a quality hotel that can seem slightly expensive, but there are often offers available that make the price very reasonable indeed, particularly when compared with UK hotels. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming without becoming over-familiar: they are professional in their manner (and dress) and highly competent. They speak good English but will not do so if a guest is keen to speak to them, however haltingly, in German. The rooms are fairly plain, though our Comfort room had several pleasant prints on the walls. Everything was clean, the heating was good and fully adjustable, and the plumbing in the bathroom worked well. The most memorable aspect for us it the buffet breakfast. There is an amazingly extensive buffet that is kept well stocked, even towards the end of the 3½ hour period during which breakfast is served. As well as muesli and other cereals, there is a range of fruit, different sorts of bread, cheeses including a lactose-free one, meats, 6 sorts of homemade jam, other jams and honey. There is also hot food: eggs cooked in several ways, including boiled eggs cooked for 5 or 7 minutes, and bacon. My list may not be complete. The breakfast room staff are vigilant and helpful without being intrusive.

The place is incredible, the staff is so friendly and is multi-lingual. I will admit, it is a little on the higher price side, but the service and convince you get for it well justified for the price. Also the staff went out of their way to accommodate my wife's gluten-free needs. Easy access for cabs and trolleys is also a bonus. And you are in easy walking distance of the main sights.

Travel (Central) for cities a good hotel, our room was (I think) out (loud) newly renovated and very clean but unfortunately to the street. The breakfast was everything for me perfectly because what it takes.

This was the second hotel we stayed in during a weekend trip that included Luxemburg. The difference was enormous. As the first hotel was just ok, this one far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and comfy, the beds were great. Everything was speckless but full of atmosphere. Staff was genuinely friendly, different from the fake friendliness in some other hotels. They communicated easily in English, but I felt comfortable enough to practice my German on them. The kids (6 and 8) had a wonderful time as well, and were sorry to leave. Normally we don't eat in the hotel's restaurant, but due to circumstances we had to. The restaurant was very cozy and lively, the food was very good, and the staff went out of their way for special requests.

The towels stink there. For everything you have to pay. Sauna for Parking, which you, of course, only when the departure gets said. For the stench from the garbage to the garbage compactor does not. But you get a free fresh breeze exhaust gases through the window, purely when the cars at night on a rush by. For Breakfast, it goes through the cold early Morning. Never again and I will be extremely disappointed.

Very nice Hotel on the edge of the old town and pedestrian zone. Modern rooms, comfortable and with Internet. Frühstuckauswahl was very satisfying and the various servants were very helpful and friendly. For example, you have a Bicycle rental service to find me and then you are also talking on the phone, to make sure that a bike. Gave me a lot of time saved! So overall, highly recommended and inexpensive. I will come next time with the family. Trier also has much to offer, what I didn't even know had.

We were at the end of April 2015 together with a well-Known Hotel Deutscher Hof in Trier. Not for the first Time. As always we were very satisfied in all respects. It was the perfect day, too Thanks to the Hotels. We can really recommend.

Excellent hotel, situated five minutes walk from the centre. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean — well worth the money. Only downside is the 5€ charge for the car park.

This was the best 3 star hotel we stayed in during a 10 day trip across Germany and France, and was comparable to 4 star chain hotels we booked. It's very clean, very quiet, and in a great location. The window rolladen and plush bedding made for a great nights sleep. It's an easy 5 minute walk to a main square by the Dom, with several nice restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The vending machine with ice cold Bitburger beer and water was also very convenient. The room rate was very reasonable. We definitely would stay here again.

We were very pleased with your hotel, location, accommodation, dog friendly, restaurant equipment and the great terrace.
Unfortunately it is when it is raining and want from the guesthouse to the breakfast wet!

This was my first trip on the Moselle and I must say, the choice of the hotel could be not better. Well, up to the Porta nigra are approx. 15 minutes walking, but the hotel itself was wonderful. Bright, friendly lobby, helpful staff and the room (I had chosen an EZ) was nice and tastefully decorated. The bathroom has a window (Finally, a hotel with natural light in the bathroom) and there were bed, armchair, coffee table, wardrobe, desk and Chair in the room itself. In addition, a coffee — and tea making facilities located there. The breakfast was great, but it's there quite full at half nine in the morning. Even as an individual, I had problems to get a table. On the second day at half past seven, less was going on. Parking at the House is although chargeable, but protected by barrier and there are plenty of parking spaces available. I can recommend this hotel only all in all.

During our tour of Germany, our journey took us to Trier, where we wanted to stay one night spontaneous. In this hotel we have can get in the evening another room without a reservation (all others were either already booked or but the reception is not open).
We purchased the apartment for the night, which showed us first of all once. We were a bit suspicious because of the bizarre decor and space distribution. Much but verbag is our first glance:

The furniture had indiscriminately together diced: an old red bed stands next to a mossy old leather couch next to a light blue IKEA shoe rack. It is on three different patch carpets, which had already seen their best days already in the 80s. But the bizarre was the shower in the middle of the living room, which continued its cork flooring for use under water. Separated them was from the rest of the apartment through a plastic shower curtain — privacy Adé! Instant coffee / tea consumption, found what the coffee had expired for over a year, but already in the pantry of the apartment. Overall, the kitchen was clean and functional, but also the sponge had seen his best days long and the soil stuck.
Unfortunately, as we we finally went to bed, we had to find that the linens smelled musty but not fresh.

The hotel offers a well-rounded concept in which one feels comfortable accommodation up to the tasting. The rooms are clean, equipped with iron/ironing board and tea station. The used mattresses are top. Rarely I felt so comfortable during your stay. Gladly I book here again.

Great location Hotel Nickel. But I do 1m92: bed smaller than me and duvet smaller than the bed…

A really nice hotel, very well organized for bikers. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped, you will find every kind of comfort in it. The breakfast is simply great, you have a huge choice.

Rooms are carpeted with long hairy carpets which is not a good thing if pets are allowed also. Food (dinner) is way to salty (mass kitchen? ). Trier has plenty of good restaurants so if you do want to stay here just book a room and go out eating. Breakfast is okay but the table setting is way to crowded. I don't like it when the room is noticeably filled with other people while eating breakfast (there was plenty of more unused space available though). Personnel is friendly, which is about the only good thing I can say from this hotel.
