➜ I used to like to go to the Hotel de France, my client is right across the street and the breakfast is very good. Still. That has not changed. But that's what it's all about. During my visit described here, the W-Lan did not work. But I only found out after I complained.
But the biggest gau struck me when, as usual, I removed the rubber spinning pad from the mattress. I can't sleep on it, I don't have a plastic bag in bed at home. A huge, unappetizing spot stared at me. Apparently, the hotel uses the incontinence pad to cover non-professionally cleaned mattresses.
So I decided to turn the mattress over, but, oh fright, the stain on the other side was even bigger. I don't want to know what else is in the mattress.
I would like to say that I have only found a similarly unhygienic sleeping place in Jakarta, Indonesia; in the countries you have to make concessions in hotels of the national category.
In any case, there were duvets covered with fresh laundry, on which you can also sleep. Especially when it's as hot as this August. There is no need for a covering, but in this hotel a thick underlay has probably recently been used.
Unfortunately, the hotel manager was not available at check-out, otherwise I would have personally described the problem. Too bad for a formerly good house.

Schönes hotel, hohe Decken, nettes Personal an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück. Frühstück lecker und reichlich, reicht aus. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, nur die Zimmer sind zur Straße raus sehr laut trotz Doppel Fenster. Ausserdem sehr warm, der bereitgestellte Ventilator war defekt. Bett sehr bequem, Bad recht klein.
