Our friends and we had a great weekend at the Boutique Hotel Villa Melsheimer. Even though we did not have the "most beautiful" rooms due to our last minute booking, we were very satisfied. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and the service really top. Thanks to the beautiful weather we enjoyed the journey home along the Moselle and the Rhine with our convertibles with a stopover in Cochem and Koblenz. Next time we will decide a little earlier and then try out the arrangement.

Truly excellent hotel, customer service and above all, exceptional food.

Beautiful ambience.
Very nice and courteous operation. Although the breakfast buffet was finished at 10am, I was able to get a breakfast bun at about 11am. This was very generous and supported with fresh ingredients and super delicious! The tea and coffee were also quite good. The strawberry cake was also delicious. We even got access to the Wi-Fi.

Excellent cuisine with great interpretations, a very good wine selection and friendly, sympathetic staff. Wine Terrace towards the Moselle and a tasteful interior round off a great Esserlebniss. However, the price is also slightly higher.

The hotel and in particular the restaurant (dinner) and the breakfast buffet was really outstanding!
We (couple) enjoyed the arrangement very much and come back with certainty:-)

Our suite with a view of the Moselle simply delightful. We stayed with our dog (she also loves the hotel) four times there.

My wife and I stayed as a consolation when our 6-months reservation at a nearby Schloss was cancelled on us with less than a week to go. I'm so glad the Zell stay was cancelled. This establishment is nothing short of amazing! SO charming, elegant and quiet… The food was 5-star (prepared, I'm told, by Mr. Melsheimer) (I was a chef, so I KNOW good food), … Mrs Melsheimer (the hostess) is downright perfect in her role. Nothing escaped her, she was bubbly, genuine, and all-around pleasant and knowledgable every moment. During dinner service, she was helping, mingling-without-hovering, laughing, directing… The girls in the dining room during service were professional, pleasant, and also just plain great to be tended to by. I travel for work very often. I am often "wined-and-dined" at top notch hotels and restaurants all around America by companies who are looking to impress and do business together. This stay was paid for completely by me. It was an anomaly that we even stayed here, as I stated earlier. I originally wanted to stay in the Schloss I stayed in as a 9-yr old child 41 years ago. With this so close, I'll never stay anywhere else when I am within range again. This was far and away the BEST stay we had on our 10-day Germany trek. Kudos to all on board at Villa Melsheimer, and especially to Mrs. Melsheimer. I sincerely hope we have the pleasure of staying in your establishment again. It would truly be an honor. Tchüss!

The food was very nicely presented and superb in taste. The wine selection is also very good. The service staff are very accommodating and well trained. Prices are moderate, but adapted to the high quality. Finally, you can only recommend the restaurant and is worth a visit.

Despite the bad weather it was a very nice stay in a great hotel! Mrs. Melsheimer and the two nice and attentive ladies in the service were very friendly all day and have fulfilled all our wishes, great service, the friendliness and the homely ambience make great desire for a new visit that will definitely follow, thank you very much for everything! Price — performance ratio does not fit. The Spa Suite We booked was very nice at first sight, but it turned out that not everything is good, which shines. After we greeted a dead spider in the bed on the first night, we were already looking forward to the sauna in the adjacent separated spa area. Unfortunately the sauna is so small that 2 people can only sit tightly crowded. Lying down would only be place for a small child. The hot whirlpool was immediately ready to use. That's because it's 24 Sunden in operation. However, it stands directly in front of the windows of the sleeping area and the pump is so noisy that you can not open a window if you want to sleep without Oropax. There is no ventilation in the mini-toilet, although there is an external wall. From the 4-course menu I have only been able to experience 3 courses because the 2nd and 3rd gear are so salty, respectively. The goose breast was still too crude and tough that made me sick. I was told the dessert looked quite passable. Conclusion: Almost 160 euros for two people were clearly too much for the food and drink and 253 euros per day for the accommodation are 80 — 100 euros too much. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There can always be something wrong, therefore at least 3 stars.

Lovely hotel in a nice location, friendly staff and a scrumptious breakfast. We loved our Junior Suite — would have brought the whole family if we'd known how much space there was!

And more than just recommended.

We run regularly on the Moselle and know so well. The hotel is
not Touristenfall. Im opposite, there is nothing objectionable. Our rooms (Nr. 2)
(minibar, safe, FL — TV) was very well equipped with everything. Beds comfortable. Bathroom was new with Superdusche. Das food / is excellent. Absolute top price/performance ratio.
The wine list leaves no wish unfulfilled. The staff is friendly and helpful.
In the sum, you can recommend the hotel without hesitation :) But only to friends
that's deserved.

In the Restaurant on the Außenterasse eaten. Very good food, also vegetarian. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere.

A beautiful location, comfortable and attractive rooms, an excellent Restaurant and a rich Breakfast buffet will offer the best options for lovers of luxury and leisure tourists. Many thanks to the entire Team for a very nice stay! Happy again.

The Hotel, the food and especially the Ambiance are so about the best thing my wife and I have experienced. (D after 40 years of interruption).

For a walking holiday on the Moselsteig we were from 02. Until 04.05.2014 in the Villa Melsheimer. To say in advance: We were excited and the house, without limitation, recommend. The Hotel is located directly on the Moselpromenade and one has from the terrace a great view of the river and the vineyards. The rooms (double room, Premiumzimmer) was beautifully and tastefully decorated, Flat screen TV, walk-in shower, By the mitgebuchte half Board we had the opportunity, in addition to the (great! ) Breakfast is also served twice as good as the beautiful Restaurant to eat. We can recommend! What else? Staff very nice and helpful, Parking at the Hotel or on the banks of the river are sufficiently available. In addition to Hiking, it is worth a look in the Moselörtchen Reil, possibly a short boat trip (feeder is only a few meters from the Hotel), or take a trip in one of the many taverns.
