Lovely place in a beautiful town. Hotel is pretty and very clean, with a comfortable rooms (we booked a suite, which I really recommend! ). Great food in hotel restaurant. 5 stars from me.

Beautiful hotel and well located. The staff is friendly. Minus points is the parking lot that I just couldn't find and the noise level just near the elevators. Otherwise, I'm already looking forward to breakfast.

Okay hotel, but pool was closed since they used an outdoor one. And you couldn't enter the indoor one because of the time of the year. They should have informed about this via booking, but didn't.

Externally, it makes a modern impression. And if you just want to jump into the paddling pool, it's the right thing to do. But woe betide you, you're on business and you have to work over the Internet. The absolute horror. Every hotel in a banana republic has better internet. If you can even talk about the Internet here. So if you are on business, you should make a very big bow around this hotel.
The hotel is also located on a busy road. As there is no air conditioning, the window must be open. Sleep almost impossible.
For a "modern" hotel, this is quite miserable.

Clean rooms, friendly Staffel but on a frequented road.

A very nice hotel with modernly furnished rooms. These are equipped with a walk-in shower. From the hotel you have access to the outdoor pool or the indoor pool. And in the morning at 6, when the outdoor pool opens for the hotel guests to swim some lanes is simply wonderful. You are totally alone on your own and thus have the outdoor pool for yourself. And that's all included in the price. Highly recommended.

Food and rooms are very good could only be a bit clean as far as the floors are concerned therefore only 3 stars. Nice staff.

Top clean hotel with very good breakfast! However, the hotel has been lacking in air conditioning for many years! Now I had a room just above the entrance and the smoking corner — very unpleasant. Add to that the street noise of passing cars.

Very pleasant. The rooms are rather small, especially the windows. But the offer to use swimming pool etc is worth a lot to me.

So we came here as a couple. We were looking for a place to stay for one night, relax and enjoy the weekend. We were looking for a place with a pool because the weather forecast wasn't so good. So we saw the deal of FRIENDLY CITY HOTEL OCTOPUS the deal said that hotel has indoor and outdoor pool, spa, jacuzzi, Sauna. For a room with breakfast included and pools also the price was 139€ but special offer was 90€ we booked the room for 101€ wich said there will be a bigger double bed. So the price for jus one night seemed to look logical for a nice room with bigger bed, breakfast and all that spa stuff included… And what a DISAPPOINTMENT! First off all I dont understand older reviews… They seem to be fake or from people who dont know what they can get for this kind of price! Let me remind you that original price for our deal was 139€. We paid 101€ but truly it was worth maximum 50€. I'm so disappointed and I'll ad some photos. Firstly the staff was wery unprofessional, lady at reception was acting strange even racist I would say! We asked her where the pools are and etc, and it looked like she is annoyed that she has to give us some information… Then the barr ladies… When we came to the bar one of ladies looked a bit loost, like she didn't know how to act… We had to ask if we are able to just sit and have some drinks here, even for the meniu because she didn't give it to us from the beginning. So to sum up staff showed up very unprofesional and rude.

Very friendly staff. Clean room. Bathroom is also large enough. Versatile breakfast buffet. The dive tower is mega. A dream for every diver.

Very nice hotel with nice staff. Rooms were very clean and nicely designed. Unfortunately we were only a one night guest.
Breakfast was very good.

While it was only there for two days, it was satisfied with the whole handling, ambience and room. The rich breakfast buffet is highly recommended.

My wife and I were there for diving. We had booked 2 nights in a suit. All Tip Top. Super clean, staff nice and courteous and diving was also great. We had a round of relaxing getaway in Siegburg … Oh yes, the medieval market in the city is also worth a visit. Great atmosphere.

Nice Hotel and good service.

This is a hotel that actually deserves the description "dog-friendly". We were greeted friendly despite the muddy weather and 2 longhair dogs and informed that we would also like to take the dogs for breakfast (but then stay in the foyer, which also had a very nice ambience). In the room we found a dog pillow and a bowl with treats. The room was sufficiently large and clean and modernly furnished, as was the bathroom.
The breakfast buffet was comprehensive and delicious, there is nothing to complain about.
The only suggestion for improvement: Parking better signage, we have filmed some extra rounds around the hotel.

Super Hotel, leider durch die Nähe zum Flughafen sehr laut nachts, wenn man das Fenster auf macht (und ohne ist es leider zu stickig). Eine Lüftungsanlage könnte hier helfen. Aber Frühstück und Zimmer sind ansonsten super. Die Sportangebote machen das Hotel besonders.

Friendly hotel with modern rooms, free Wi-Fi, good breakfast.

Proper and clean rooms. Dinner at the restaurant was not very good however. The fries were soggy and the medium steak I ordered was in fact well done. Another subject regarding german cuisine, is the major focus around meat, which is good because obviously, protein is good. However, it is often paired with carb loaded foods and the included restaurant did not innovate in this area. You're better off dining at the closeby Vietnamese restaurant if you're looking for a healthy dining experience. The beds were seperable which is great and the bathrooms were clean. The gym was the worst I've seen in a hotel. For some reason they thought it was a good idea to only have cable machines and as any proper gym fanatic knows; freeweights offer the best training. There were no free weights so compound excersizes were not possible so I had to make due with a pull up bar. As the machines were way too easy and light. The sauna was nice and decent, no complains here. For the outside pool which is clean and very decent, refrain from sliding down the long high slide as an adult, I had to walk to gain momentum mid-slide. Not safe when going off it with a minor on your lap. Me and my niece almost got a colission with some other kids because we couldn't gain momentum because the slide had too much traction. Overall it was a nice experience. The owners of the vietnamese restaurant closeby were amazing and very friendly, such admirable people.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel the staff is very friendly and helpful as we are mobility we were served the breakfast outside the rooms are large, clean and also has space for a wheelchair also from the additional services swimming pool Sauna Indoor Pool We were amazed Ausergewöhliche wishes were also met we can only recommend this hotel if we are close again we will go there again thanks for everything.

Nice and clean if not clinical, staff were very nice. All services you need and at a reasonable price but room rate is very expensive for what you get.

The ambience is great and most of all the stuff were very helpful and spoke in English too, that made my stay more so easier. The hotel is about ten minutes walk from the city centre. The spa facilities are awesome. The prices on the menu are fair and the breakfast was great too! Its the first German hotel that I have found a balance in what is served for breakfast! I recommend it anytime.

Nice hotel, Great service. Had to leave early, before breakfast and asked if it was possible to grab something when u leave. But they were nice and prepared sandwiches, sweets etc which I could take with me.

The hotel is very modern, clean and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet there is nothing missing. Our children 16 and 10 were enthusiastic. We will be back!

Excellent location, only minutes from the town centre. Smart and modern decor combined with friendly staff made for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is linked to a swimming pool complex and guests have free access to the pools facilities. Free Wi-Fi and car parking too. Finally there is a scuba dive centre within the pools complex that contains one of the largest purpose built ndoor dive pools. Over 20m in depth I am tempted to return for a dive.

Really friendly staff very happy to help! Most speak English or nearly do! Room we were im is huge for 3 or us but our mates for 2 of them wasnt so big! Pool area awesome for kids slides and pools galore! Sauna area very tranquil and nice! Breakfast was limited but its free and the stuff they had was to a high standard! Very continental style which I guess I am used to English cook everything style! Short walk to town (10) and train station (20 mins) where its 20 mins away from cologne. Altogether a great place to spend a weekend if you love diving (havent done that yet looks cool though! ) love swimming or need something to amuse the kids.

Just top more can not say.

Negative: free welcome drink card only after ask, even though it was on the voucher. Worse than the previous years breakfast buffet (bacon very soft / order of scrambled eggs and Bacon not nice / only small selection of sausage and salami). Staff acts annoyed (exceptions to a few) positive: very clean room. Swimming pool can be used. Very good housekeeping. And very friendly women.

Beautiful hotel, great service, friendly staff and a delicious gastronomy! It is a wonderful weekend together with a relaxed day in the Dive4Life and in the swimming pool! The arrangement of "Stay and Dive" is absolutely recommendable and earmarked in the advent season with us for several years.

The only thing I would like to have improved is the bed. It is too hard, Regards.

Close to Nice and stylish hotel in town. Unfortunately, the hotel is located right on the road thus reducing the noise in the room is very large, even the floor is more than suspicious. The breakfast buffet was very good and asked a wide range. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is very large and offers many ways to cool off on hot days. All in all is very nice hotel for a short stay.

Best hotel to stay at in Siegburg. Not as close to the train station or downtown as others, but has a fantastic breakfast, nice and clean rooms and a great pool. And the internet connection was outstanding, making it a clear winner over others.

A consistently good to very good hotel. Just for warm days perfect because it is connected directly with an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is also an indoor swimming pool. You should not disturb that is it possibly slightly louder when the swimming pool is full, but you should use it necessarily even in good weather. Also super connection to Bonn and Cologne. Is absolutely recommended. Food was very good also the breakfast was more than adequate. Nice and young staff.
We like to come back.
