Super nice and cozy room. Very clean and well maintained. Everything is straightforward I must Have felt and come guaranteed.

The key-key-box system, which allows to check in at any time regardless of the reception, is very convenient, the value for money very good. The rooms are harmonious, cosy and colourful (lots of Ikea under the furniture), in the hallway and in the house it is pleasantly quiet. Outside Big Street but still not noisy (earplugs are free for noise sensitive). Everything was clean. From Essen Hbf (Freedom), tram virtually leaves the door (3 O. 4 stations). A very pleasant and charming hostel with good connections to the city!

Very good, clean Inn and Citinah, conveys a lot of good feeling!

Functional and clean. The weirdest pillows I've had to sleep with, but if that's the worst thing…

Very comfortable hostel on the edge of the city centre. Highly recommended for city trips.

Where to start!? It is a hostel and not a hotel. I was aware of that. Have already stayed in countless hostels and hotels in the world and come even from the hotel Erie.
On arrival, first 10min before the door stood. Bedding €6.50!? Rip! Room facilities-okay. Self-made bunk bed, Ikea furniture. TV does not look possible, the TV was much too high mounted on the wall. You couldn't see anything. Very nice hotel.
The height, the male staff. Could hear it loudly as a regular guest was shouted as a stupid a… The guest probably wanted to get the police, because someone was in his room. In the morning it was blasphemed by guests who were called wi… He would soon have enough and then poppies etc. "The guests just spit us in the face". "Shit pack"…
Never experienced this before!
Check out at 10am. 8.30 came the Putzdame into the room without knocking! "You're still here? "
Bottom line, never again!

I have been twice with a small group of students to a guest, full score! Rare that all the participants are so satisfied ;)

A very sweet little hostel right in the heart of food. With the tram, which is only a few meters away from the hostel, it is only a few stops to the main train station. It is clean and contains everything you need.

I spent three days in the Inn, North star … It's my seventh stay is already there… I hope there's many more, because I feel at home there. Each room is individually designed and is far above the Standard of a hostel. The hostess is always friendly and fulfilled the wishes of their guests. Since I'm not well-versed in Computer things, this is my first review.

We were after Christmas is a guest here and were more than pleasantly surprised. We had expected a normal Hostel Standard and are enthusiastic about what you have to get everything for this low price. Kudos to the hostess and her sense of the little things that warm the heart. We come here again and again with pleasure and can recommend it to anyone. So Gasthaus Nordstern.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Smooth operation by Keybox at later arrival.
Food can not be rated as we have booked without breakfast.

Central location, the city is to reach in a few minutes by public transport or on foot.
-The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished with attention to detail.
-Noteworthy are also the many free on the room, which is unusual for a hostel and the price category.
-Wi-Fi and clean, well-equipped communal kitchen available free.
-In the hostel, there is a smoking ban, which is but not at all bad, because you can smoke in the also beautiful landscaped garden in the courtyard.
-Overall an absolutely recommended accommodation with friendly staff, Super fair prices and a lovely owner who works still close to the guest and for each concern has an open ear.
We like to come back! :)

We had a really nice weekend and the hostel is very cosy, clean and the owners are very helpfull. The rooms were very colourful and clean! Very refreshing! We will absolutely come back next year and bring some friends. Within 10 minutes walk you are in the center of Essen with the stores and cafe's. Thank you!

One for Germany as I find unusual and very nice atmosphere. The communal kitchen and the garden offer guests far more options than is normally usual.

We were f three very friendly hostess, days from Pulheim in the North Star hostel Toller service, super tasty breakfast, rooms talk rooms, etc. All top this hostel missing man nothing full score will always love to come back thank you!

Hotel (pension) lovingly by a woman. For the business travellers a great alternative. Professional booking possible. I arrived already at noon and was admitted by the cleaning staff great.
Individually beautiful, rooms are complemented with quality accessories. In the evening another beer in the pedestrian street food is within easy reach seaside. W-lan, night safe for room key price is reasonable conclusion: be sure book!
