Total freundlich, tolle Service, sehr schöne Atmosphäre ok, now in English, I had my Scottish wedding party here and it was absolutely fantastic, proved to be a perfect location for our event, the whole team is very friendly and go out their way to please everybody, 5 stars from myself and my happy guest. Well done.

Super delicious food. Very nice staff. Man can also rent a hall for weddings, birthdays and much more. The visit there is definitely worth it, I can only recommend.

Food good bourgeois. Actually quite delicious! The service is really unfriendly and inattentive (boss also prefers to smoke in peace than to serve waiting customers at the counter). Wouldn't even have earned 1 star! Would go more often, but if the service does not fit. Actually a pity, because the location is nice.

Beautiful old building with good civic food, friendly atmosphere with nice service. Behind the restaurant an aging park, definitely sufficient for a digestive walk after the good food.

Such a fantastic place. Staff are so friendly, kindly and helpful. I recommend it for anybody who can prefer a romantic feeling and professional services.

We were there one night because we were passing through and our expectations were exceeded. The rooms are simple but clean, the restaurant very modern and well frequented, the food very, very tasty! The owner tried very hard to make sure we were doing well! Since we were the only guests overnight, a very decent breakfast buffet was made especially for us 4. We were very satisfied and will certainly come back when we are back in transit or attend a fair in Dortmund!

Delicious food at fair prices and a super nice waitress. Also extremely clean and furnished with a lot of love.

Was the best food we've had since long. Is a bit more expensive but worth it. The steak is soft as butter. The staff is super nice. We would come back.

Were there for the Schnitzel-Day (always on thursday). Good food, good prices. The portions are huge.

Friendly service and a not that loud atmosphere.

The Volksgarten itself is very beautiful. But what is missing are benches in the shadow area, where even older people can sit down or people who do not want to sit down in the blazing sun in fine and hot weather. But I mean the park now, not the restaurant.

Will habe Lunch there next time.

Rooms clean and tidy, nice looking hotel. Towels a bit hard and only couple of small bottles of sparkling water for 4 to share over two days and not restocked. Owner and lady serving dinner at night generally attempted to be friendly but others pretty much seemed to be uninterested if from the UK and like us with no real grasp of German, Had no lingual problems of note when in the city as most tried to help or could speak English. Quite a walk to main train station, especially if with bags and a bit secluded if walking at night. This is a hotel for the locals, if you want a more cosmopolitan stay, go to Dortmund Central, easier/quicker to get around and much friendlier.

Was not worth it unfortunately… Hair in the food found, schnitzel just warmed up, part dirty glasses and the Starter salad was during the main course served. The service is ok, but it's obvious that this is never properly been trained. The prices are average and ok (if you then get a full meal).

Were for Brunch on Sundays as well you should be but be there early and I have no idea. Staff and Service friendly skin, but I am not to ds you could say is my thing, from the little choice if you have animals it must be a personal setting, no hot scrambled eggs, or so sorry. It is also worth no voucher for this zuholen!
