In this hostel I was deceived with the payment. Girl from reception Ksenia took money from me twice (cash and credit card). Main manager Patrick did not give me any comments on this. Very bad attitude to the problem of the client.

I booked the wrong date and arrived earlier than expected, the receptionist are very patient and helped me rearrange everything, which is very sweet. The hostel is nicely decorated and kitchen are well equipped too. Highly recommended!

I have met amazing people at there. Hostel is clean, kitchen is nice, breakfast is OK. Receptionist are so nice. Location is perfect. 5 mins to train, bus, U-Bahn. 15 minutes to altstadt on feet. Would definetely stay again.

Cheapest hostel in Düsseldorf, yet does not feel very cheap. It is well maintained. The location is very convenient, I could walk to Altstadt or take a bus to Hauptbahnhof. There is fully furnished kitchen, as well as a snack/drink vending machine. Although Wi-Fi speed wasn't very good, it was working fine for necessary things, in almost all corners.

Very cheap hostel with good rooms, nice service. Utilities were fine and the living space and place to eat are very spacious. There's some place for free parking, but not a lot. The only downside is the closing of the kitchen at 10PM which cuts off a lot lot of the dining area and also the outside terras.

Very happy that this hostel offers it's courtyard/backyard space as free and secure parking (first come, first served basis). Made for a stress-free drive into town with a rental car, no hunting for a spot or parking garage. I don't like paying extra for linens, but was happy that a towel was included with the linens at no additional cost. Atmosphere is pretty chill here.

Very good hostel, affordable accommodations and good location. The hostel was well maintained and clean, prices are reasonable, the U Bahn station is 2 blocks away and only 5 minutes ride to the bar area. If you wanna walk, it's only 3 blocks away from Königsallee. Not much of a social place, few bathrooms but plenty of showers. I would recommend the 6 bed dorm since it has bigger lockers and more space. The owner is very nice and breakfast is free. I would totally stay here again, book on their website.

I enjoyed Backpackers Dusseldorf. It was a very chill atmosphere. Check in was smooth and the room was comfy. Nothing too bad, but the bathroom shower was clogged and I wished there were some board games to play with other guests.

Not very close to the center (15-20 minutes walk), the station is also not close. The room was clean and comfortable. But not worth fot money! €28 for one night-a lot… The only thing that saved me was that I had one in the room, and I grabbed coffee and toast for breakfast.

One of the best backpackers hostel I have been. For young people it is perfect. Has that youth touch. Prices are more than affordable and the hostel is near center.

Went as a walk in for one night stay … you are required to have a credit card, to pay 3 euros extra for the use of bed sheets and if you use your own the penalty is the fee for the hostel to clean the mattress. Not only that, the hostel is in the worst part of the town. Do not waist the money for a bus from the train station to be told there are extra fees and be refuse service in a less than one star hostel. Choose a hotel, believe me you come out cheeper because the people running this hostel think they own a 5 star hotel.

Spiral staircase inaccessible for big luggage. Single bathroom with two showers per floor — almost never is the drain clean. Low on ambience. Room ventilation is not that great. Charge for bed linen is separate. Connectivity to the metro and Hbf is good.

Excellent hospitality. Breakfast was not that great but the staff people there were really helpful and polite. They made my life so easy. It's really a home away from home. I really felt quite comfortable and safe here. Receptionists are very very very humble, polite and courteous. They even allowed me to have some coffee outside of breakfast hours since I was wet in rain. That female receptionist gladly searched for the title and artist of a song that was playing in the background. I wanted to know the song name really bad because I had heard it almost 7 years back but never knew its name.

This hostel has some really good staff members, but it also has a staff member that probably shouldn't be in an environment where they have the misfortune of encountering people of any kind. The venue is exactly what you would expect from a modestly priced hostel, and I would consider going back there if I was pretty sure the angry one wasn't there anymore.

Amazing place located near to public transportation (Kirchplatz station). Nice and clean rooms. Free breakfast was great. Staff was really helpful. Located 15 min from Altstadt. Good kitchen. Stayed for 2 nights. Overall very happy stay.

One of my best memories of Germany. 2 years from now and it was my first hostel from my first trip alone. Staff was really nice and welcoming. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was included. Met many people from all over the world and had terrific intellectual conversations. This hostel gave me a taste of what travel is and now Im addicted.

It's one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! We arrived late (the reception was already closed) but they gave us the key codes so we could get in and sleep for the night. The rooms are quite nice, the bathrooms are great (really hot water! ) and there's a nice breakfast included. There is also a kitchen with everything you need, so you can cook if you want. There are lots of people who stay here for a long time, so that says a lot about the hostel. Overall, a great experience.

Bestes backpacker hostel in Dtown! Excellent reception.

Nice, well organised hostel. Helpful staff. Have nice amenities, with washing mashine and hairdryer available. A lot of couches to lounge on in the shared spaces. Breakfast is included in price, AND has amazingly forgiving hours of 8-11.

My first experience in a hostel and it couldn't be better! Great reception, super clean environment, super clean bathrooms! Nice place with a good atmosphere! ;)

To spend a night, it's okay. Pros: Free Wi-Fi!

Very clean, 20 min away from bus train station close to old city. No a. C. But fan in every room comfortable place to stay and very nice breakfast with filter coffee, no gouda cheese we loved garlic and pepper cream cheese. Showers and whole place was si clean it is not messy backpacker you ll feel at home. Thnks Patrick!

Maximum average. The location is ok. Close to the bus station to reach the train station within a few minutes. However, the property is quite old. The staff is not to friendly, just what they have to do. The toilets/showers need a refurbishment. The walls in the shower are partly grey…

Straight-forward process and comfortable stay. The location was also only two stops away by U-bahn to the city centre and was very convenient even for one night.

In itself it was okay, the toilets were clogged but 2 x during my 3-night stay. What was also a very big minus for me: I and my date did not know that they are mixing rooms and were therefore very (negatively) surprised when we suddenly had a 45-year-old man in our underage girls in the room (these roommates we were not informed by the staff, what was really awkward because my date in the room had moved as the gentleman at the door). We have found no reference to mixing room on the booking confirmation and it was also not too obviously on the Web page… But, in all this is, I found very angehm also the free Wi-Fi and breakfast, also the backpackers has a good location from which you can walk much in 15-20 min.

It's very good located, two blocks away from a subway station and near the Rhine Tower and some pubs, restaurants and markets. Great Wi-Fi connection and clean beds.

Exceeded all expectations. Very clean, friendly. The people who work there are awesome! Good common space, computer with internet access, and kitchen. A steal for the price.

I had a very good and enjoyable stay at the hostel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the hostel is both lively and perfect for a good nights sleep. Would recommend this place.

As far as location goes, Backpackers is a good place if you plan on walking around the city. The rooms are clean and it's nice that there are different spaces to hang out at in the hostel. We stayed two nights on the weekend and because there's no night staff, there was no one to keep the hostel under noise control — at 4am a group came back and partied until 7:30, when the employees arrived. Also, the fact that the shower rooms do not have locks is disconcerting. We were two girls staying there and there must have been at least 20 men — I kept expecting them to walk into the shower room if the other ones were busy. The staff were friendly, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff at this hostel was great! They made us feel very comfortable and they were very accommodating. My only issue was the shower design. The only thing separating you and a stranger was a curtain and there was no separate changing area. I would have preferred latch-able doors. Other than that, this hostel was clean and cozy.

This hostel is very good, clean, the breakfast is fine, people are nice and friendly. It is close to down town, it takes around 15 min by foot, or 5 min by tram. The location is good, quiet and close to train station. Interior is artistic and warm. Everyone can spend a nice time there.

Great stay at Backpackers. Great staff, clean rooms, nice atmosphere, no curfew, and a kitchen. Backpackers will be my only hostel of choice when staying in Dusseldorf. Looking forward to another stay.

It was a wonderful experience staying at the Backpackers Dusseldorf. The rooms are very clean and tidy as well as the common space and the morning breakfast was very good. Overall my stay in this hostel was very good and I will definitely come back again.

The hostel is clean and well equipped, not far from the town center. However, I think not having a 24-hour reception (it closes at 10 pm) is very problematic for travelers checking-in outside of their "business" hours.

It was a pleasant experience staying at the Backpackers hostel. The way the hostel is set up allows for interaction between guests, and I was able to make friends watching movies, cooking and having meals. I would however appreciate a ladies-only room since I found myself, at one point, being the only lady in the room — which was very awkward to say the least. But overall experience was god.

Chilliges Hostel, was ich sehr empfehlen kann. Es ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und das Personal ist echt nett. Wenn wir wieder in Düsseldorf sind, werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Very nice clean and tidy place easy to find and breakfast was good as well. Wi-Fi was no problem great place to stay would stay there again.

Great hostel with very friendly staff. Clean toilets (! ) and a nice common area with a TV set where you can switch channels yourself (I just spend a couple of nights in a hostel in Cologne where all we could see on TV was looped videos of some old men singing heavy metal, great for first 20 minutes but not much fun afterwards).

Dear backpacker team, we were during the spacial olympics national games with 60 people with and without disabilities, with you as a guest and have the five days enjoyed very much, you are a wonderful team and have made our stay in Dusseldorf to enjoy. It was a great atmosphere with you, we hope that this is still much for us to experience — thank you for the easy entertainment lg from upper Swabia.

It's a really Child friendly Hostel! Every drawback was resolved with a smile. We arrived late at night and it was like we got home. Cozy, clean and spacious. Is near to the main train station. Thanks Patrick! Alejandra and Mariana.

Very nice place… a home away from home… the blokes are very nice and helping too… highly recommended for budget travelers… would definitely look them up next time I am Dusseldorf…
