Friendly, competent staff, fast check/in.

Although for train travelers the hotel is on a great location, I can not recommend it.
Dirty towel in the bathroom, not even plastic cups available so you can drink some water from the tap. No 'do not disturb' sign available. An airco that makes so much notice it sounds like it runs on diesel and a TV that keeps resetting all settings to German everytime you switch it off. No fridge where you can keep stuff cool and a bar where the staff member seems mostly interested in his mobile phone.

The Ibis — Hotel am HBF is a very good hotel.

Very nice staff, always helpful. You feel welcome. Breakfast is also very tasty — you should try the waffles.

Decent hotel right about HBF. Very convenient to get around. Don't expect anything fancy except for convenience. Rooms could use a bit updating to be fair.

My 5 star evaluation means that this hotel gives you the value of your money. On the bright side the hotel is next to the train station; the staff are polite and friendly; and the rooms are clean. Also, you can ask for very safe safebox at the reception desk. On the dark side, rooms are small and don't have minibar or kettle to make yourself a hot drink. You shouldn't expect more than minimum standard from this hotel. On a side note, sometimes unruly people take advantage of the affordable deals and make a cuaos in the hotel.

Location : very central, nice. Rooms: clean and warm atmosphere. Service : very friendly personal. Nothing to complain about.

Get to the hotel again and again. The staff totally friendly … And the rooms are also more than generous especially clean. The mattresses nice hard. But everyone likes it differently.

The hotel is located by the train station. It's very comfortable, if you going to continue your travel by train or going to the airport. The windows face the inner courtyard of the hotel. Poor soundproofing. You hear everything from the corridor.

Decent hotel at an excellent location. Good price /value ratio. Rooms are ok, nothing fancy but not too small. Being at the main railway station helps get around one big issue in Germany : supermarket / bakery /drug store opening times.

Apart from its location at the Dusseldörf train station and the very expensive but finally correct breakfast, the hotel and especially the reception staff leave a lot to be desired! The pictures don't match the reality. The rooms and handshowers are too small, it was depressing! But the worst is the behavior of the hostesses who received US coldly, without smiling and who respond to our demands of an annoyed air. I have not kept a good memory of this place. I will never go back again.

Kind personel, swift check-in (despite late hours) and check-out. Clean and vast room, central location (literally in the Central Station), quite standard but good breakfast. The room equipment and finish is rather old and humble. It is nothing special and is rather overpriced.

Hotel is located directly in Düsseldorf Central Station. The décor is convenient, rooms and bathroom are clean. Staff is nice and helpful. The selection at the breakfast buffet is sufficient and fresh. For 11 euros a good price/performance ratio.

Sober room, rather comfortable, clean. Breakfast is expensive considering the very limited supply. The soundproofing is correct. Friendly welcome. Hotel conveniently located in the train station.

Location is pretty much unbeatable if you’re taking a train, rooms were a little shabby though and the general decor in the corridors and other open areas needs some serious attention.

Very clean rooms though not much space. We had a twin and the beds were very close together. Desk and power points were all by one. Shower and bathroom facilities are very good. Hotel staff are enormously helpful and the bar has a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Didn't try the breakfast. Hotel is attached directly to the train station so there are a lot of convenient places for a quick bite or coffee.

Staying here was above what I expected. I booked a 2 star hotel because I had a late flight into Düsseldorf and needed a place to sleep. I was very surprised by how new and clean everything was. The room looked newly refurbished, not a speck of dust anywhere. It was a surprisingly big room (not too big), with a nice sitting space which is not common for a cheap hotel. It's in a prime location right inside the Düsseldorf HBF with plenty of options for a snack or meals. The front desk staff were an absolute pleasure and willing to help, very efficient. I was mostly surprised by the shower, the pressure was awesome, the water was hot (which isn't that common unfortunately) and overall I would absolutely recommend, and would stay here again if we need to.

Staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Unfortunately you can hear the other guests and the rooms are very tightly planned. The TV is very small, even if I have not used it. Towels and 3in1 shower gel (1 dispenser under the shower and 1 at the sink) were available. The mattresses are only resting, so move when sitting in bed.

The room was very clean and the abgeplatzer was very comfortable.

The hotel as well as the room was very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. Big TV of cinema feeling in bed makes possible. Breakfast has also left nothing to be desired.

Very convenient for Dusseldorf Station, this Ibis hotel has everything you'd expect: bar (serving a good range of beers), breakfast (with hot and cold food) and nicely sized, clean rooms. Will definitely stay again.

Check-in here was fast and nicely done. All staff was nice and helpful but some seemed not your usual hotel crew. The location is insanely convenient for the business traveler by train as it is literally in the Düsseldorf main train station, just a few steps out the door and you're at the first platform. Convenience aside, this more than close vicinity to the station brings along all the shadiness and weirdos a big city station has to offer, especially at night. Nothing crazy during our stay but a few stories to remember. Surprisingly I didn't hear any trains in my room at night, some of my colleagues apparently did though. Rooms were small but clean with a functional bathroom cabin, a small TV but unfortunately no safety box not a fridge. Bed was ok.

We were staying at this hotel we enjoyed. The rooms always in order.

The room was adequate, there is what you need. But cleanliness was outstanding though, and it was comfortable to stay. Overall everything was good except the Wi-Fi. I would say the Wi-Fi is sub par, and anything other that very light web browsing is sure to give you stress. But overall it was a good experience.

Excellent stay in this hotel. Ideally located, inside the train station. Comfortable room and great breakfast. The only drawback I can find is that they don't have fresh orange juice, which I really like to have in the morning. But few hotels have anyway. Good way to start the day!

All well except the size of the room which is tiny. The staff was very helpful A bit far from the center (it takes about 15 minutes to walk to get there) but communicated very well as it is located within the station.

Well-located hotel (at the station). Coming out of the reception, there is everything you might need: grocery store, pharmacy, transport tickets… The rooms are not large, but they are clean. The only downside is that there is no shuttle service to get to the airport.
