I am staying in female dorm and its ok with this price point. But rooms are really suffocating and the people are extremely rude I just needed fresh air for 5 mins and the lady staying in my room starts shouting at me the middle of the night. I just opened the window and I was standing there in just 10 sec she made a scene and made me close the window. Saying that I am not normal she will go to receptionist and complain or call the hospital to take me away coz I am not normal and said what if I die in the middle of night it won't be good for the reputation of this hostel. I don't know how can people be so insensitive towards others. I hate it here so much, it was the worst experience of my life. I suggest if you want to come here come with your own group of friends or take a single room. It's disgusting to know that such insensitive people exist. I have nothing against the hostel itself it nice and managmet is good. But its just what I experienced here made everything worse.

Staff are friendly — on this visit also very concerned about the well-being of the guests (breakfast was prepared nicely, room allocation was done with the inclusion of corona security) ; hardly beatable in terms of price. It would be great if my positive impression shows more consistency in the future, because on previous visits in Nov, Dec, and Jan was also one or the other disappointment (eg breakfast was served only at 0715 instead of 0700 o'clock; a lot of noise and restlessness at night)

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the center and the room was clean. Breakfast was fine. The staff friendly.
The only thing that was not ok are guests who were very loud at night and some think they don't have to wear masks in the hotel.

Service was good the 2 room was then also clean and tidy after we were sent to the first room which was not yet cleared it was immediately apologized for it and there were 2 free drinks dogs friendly and the staff very nice.

The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the underground car park is very narrow so we couldn't use it with our vehicle. I'm curious to see if the refund will be made as promised.

I shared a room with three other people two of who were a couple sleeping in a double bed. I have often been in hostels but with all beds set up for single travellers. If you wish to provide that sort of intimacy to guests, don't rent beds in such rooms to people booking separately. It was clearly a room set up for a family (one double bed and two bunk beds).

Price and value. Room is small, bathrooms are separated into toilet and shower which is convenient. Building is old, newly painted but really smells of the ViOC from new paint. Our room was on the street side and pretty loud noises from cars with windows open due to not having AC. Mattress feels good, bunk bed is solid and does not tip over. USB charging and lamp by the bulk bed a nice touch to have. 10-15 min walk to train station, you can find bike or scooter to ride which is easier then footing the distance. The hostel is updating to newer stuff and is quite chaotic. People gather at the entrance to smoke which made the nearby area smell. Air quality isn’t the best due to paint and smoking.

The most I liked during the stay is cleanses of the room. For the place, where every night sleep 6 strangers, it is the most importance criteria. Among advantages would also note the friendliness of staff and among disadvantages the mess in a main hall.

I stayed in a mix dorm room for 3 nights but receptionists never offered me sheets, bed cover and pillowcases.
Since other 3 guests in my room didn't have sheets kit neither, so I thought this is clean bed without them.
I saw the cleaning staff doesn't change the uncovered blanket and pillow asked him about it, then finally started speaking we can get sheets kit at the reception and the bed is not clean.
This was awful experience.

Good hotel. 5 minutes away from Königsallee. Friendly staff, clean rooms, draft beers served… recommended.

Amazing value for money and super helpful staff. They let me stay all day in the bar and study and still use some of the facilities. Definitely recommend!

I was holding a conference. Modest interior, very friendly staff.

Not the best place ive ever stayed. Probably would never stay again. It splits into 2, a hotel and a hostel. We were in the hostel and to be honest felt second to hotel guests. Bed sheets not included in price. Rooms were small but clean and very very hot! Our particular room had the soundof running water all night to keep up awake. There were lounge areas we couldn't access but seemed other guests were allowed. For a backpacker, atmosphere is everything. This had non at all. Good points were the staff. Friendly, helpful, even cooked for me a frozen pizza I brought in ;) 2* is thanks to the staff only!

Very clean rooms. No air conditioning available. Rooms in the upper level get very hot during summer. Staff is very polite and helpful. Location of the hotel/hostel is not the best. 20 minute walk to the old town…

The ventilation is slightly poor. Expect some stuffy bathrooms, smokey hallways and warm rooms. Other than that great prices; fast internet; enough power sockets; and bathrooms inside rooms! Id recommend this place for sure. The staff work hard, well and are pretty hospitable.

The Room was clean, but for two People quite small (for one Night it was enough for us, as we were on Japan Day all Day). Our Room had a beautiful View. The Breakfast Room in the Basement was beautifully designed including a TV And a very nice Play area for Children (as An Educator with Experience). The Breakfast was delicious with a (for us) sufficient Offer. You could tap apple, Orange — or Multivitamin Juice but also Iced Tea. The Staff was very friendly and we were able to move immediately (about 11:30) into our Room, with the Booking Documents Check-in from 3pm.

Except for a very average food and staff not always welcoming, the accommodations are very decent.

There is rule which is mentioned on every room’s back of the door that no noise after 22:00 hrs till 6:00 hrs. However, there were bunch of idiots making noises with out any reason and I went complain the security guard but he didn’t come then those idiot starts shouting in the room then again I went to receptionist that solve this problem but she replied arrogantly “ this is friday night we can not stop them” I said but then what about your f* rules she said sorry sir we can exchange room and charge some more amount. I was needy and I have to wake up earlier so I paid. But this is insane and there facilities were also bad. I strongly not recommend this place.

Clean, spacious, there is a smoking room. Pleasant lobby with games, billiards and bar.

The rooms are OK though it gets pretty hot because of towel dryer which cannot be turned off. The food is regular, not a lot of variety or quantity. It is very well located in the center.

The hotel is very average, can the hostel be nice?

All the staff seem to be in practice, we stayed 10 days and only 3 went to clean, we had to look for life to get clean towels.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel for 1-2 nights, you are in good hands. Who wants to be quiet is wrong here! The accommodation is very popular with young people and stag party. For the price the equipment, location and cleanliness were adequate. Distance to Old Town (party mile) approx. 15/20 minutes on foot. To the train station approx. 10 minutes.

The staff are nice and friendly and the prices are reasonable. It's not far from Dusseldorf Central Station by walk but with heavy luggage em… What was very bad about the rooms is that although the windows allow natural light during the day because of effective architecture, but everything look grey in the dim light of the too low-designed economical lightings at night. It seems that there was no accommodation management because one night when I came back I saw a newcomer was sleeping in my bed. Although the receptionist provided me a bed in a 4-bed dormitory and invited me a FREE 7UP but I realized that 4-bed rooms are much better than 6-bed ones in cleanliness and installation (because sth in my primary room in the bath kept making a noise like a leaking pipe).

Noisy and busy main street right by the window — from 5 am onwards is a noise level that you can't imagine. Then we had the luck that a noisy school class that had heard up to 2 o'clock loud music etc was on our floor.
You have to refer to the bed yourself. The "hotel" has more of a hostel.
The bed is pretty well located and not very clean.
The hotel car park costs outrageous 12 euros per day at the time of booking. Not recommended.
When I saw the hotel, I thought it was a parking garage.

Perfect location, nice meeing area and bar on the ground floor, clean, well prized, looks new, taken care of and nicely busy atmosphere.

Very cheap, but it really only offers the essentials. We had a 6 room. In the bathroom you could hardly turn for space reasons. It was not really clean us not even the bedding, which you have to refer to, had stains.
At the lobby you can only buy alcohol from 17h.

The only thing that had bothered us was that we had to go to the beds ourselves at 11pm and after a long trip. But that's all right.

It was functional room, proper facilities. I stayed in mixed room for 6 people. Toilet and bathroom inside. Everything fine except the bathroom and toilet are smell bad all the time.

Very large hostel, cozy receptionist… my room was clean, bathroom clean but my blanket was stained so I slept without because it was hot enough in the room.

All right. Breakfast was just great. At night it is quiet and you can sleep well. Mattresses in the dormitory are somewhat secluded but you can still sleep well. So definitely a good address in Düsseldorf to travel well and cheaply. Tip was also that you were very quick in the center, both by tram and on foot.

Great hotel with value for money distance from downtown.
The basic rooms are comfortable and quiet.
The bathroom in the room is efficient, there is also the hair dryer and the material for the shower.
The TV in the room, a small fan in case of hot.
The only drawback, my room (615) Last floor was not heated enough. The outside temperature very below the thermal zero was not compensated with an adequate heating system.

The bedroom is small but good. Towels was free but in the cafeteria the tables are unstable. There is Wi-Fi and a ATM. A lot of stairs one of the railings is broken. I recmmend for those who dot't care for little plobems.

towels, no lock on the closet, take with you, the ventilation is not very. The kitchen is missing, but the boiling water is free.

Rude, rude staff at the reception. Rundown hallways and elevators. The reception has no control over who enters the hostel and uses the elevators and cannot see this as in other room. Rooms are very simple furnished but as expected and pictured. The TV is disproportionately small, which is a pity. The cleanliness is very good, the bathroom was not cleaned properly and the towels smelled uncomfortable. There is also mildew in the bathroom. Overall a disappointing experience, even if you can't expect much. However, friendliness and cleanliness should be available regardless of price. And for the price, the hostel is comparable to normal budget city hotels, which has a much higher quality in terms of service and rooms.

Room smells like cigarettes and sweat. And the shower door was broken. And it is a maze to find your room. Overall very unhappy will not be staying here ever again and I would not recommend to anyone.

It was the cheapest in the area and we were positively surprised the room is almost mackelos there is soap and shower other stuff like charging cable can be bought downstairs and the neighborhood is quiet the staff is very nice.

Despite being a hostel it is very well organized both in the distribution of the rooms and in the breakfast. I was very satisfied especially of the cleanliness, which — I admit — I feared not adequate. The cost is very low, so I recommend it to those who want to save.

Wasn’t good! I paid for another day but when I come back to the hotel the sheets and pillowcase have been taken off, as well as some personal things that I left on the bed. My key didn’t work. I explain my situation on the check in but they just said that I will only could look for my things on the day after… I decide not stay at the hotel any more. On the day after I had comprimisse and had to get late to go to the Hotel to look for my things. The room cleaner man says he remembers have find something but don’t remember what he did with whine finds and could have taken it to the trash. And I had any solution. I left my email to be contacted but nobody send me any email until now. I do not recommend the hostel for anyone!

It's cozy here, but the price is not fixed. Each time is different.

The A&O Hotel I would recommend to any traveller, the prices are affordable for every holidaymaker, the rooms are very good and the staff is very helpful and super friendly. If I go to Düsseldorf again, the A&O is my first point of contact to stay. My personal rating is the note. Wasalright for this very nice hotel.

10min walk to Hbf and 5min to Kö. Right next to Kamps. Very well connected to the U-Bahn, buses and the tram line. Staff is super nice. Clean towels provided on request. Rooms are spacious, airy, and well maintained. No kitchen is the only downfall. Bar prices are a bit steep for a backpackers hostel.

I have booked a twin room in the hotel area of this "hotel".
Unfortunately, this room has not been able to meet any expectations. The dirt and hair of the previous tenant are still clearly visible.
The bathroom is an absolute imposition! Toilet and shower are dirty, the walls spotty and there are various body hairs of the previous tenants to be seen… Only the floor and the amateurs were roughly cleaned.
Even the actual room is far from clean. The floor has been sucked, but it is still spotty. In addition, here also hair on shelves and in bed! The bed itself is very uncomfortable and does not allow a restful sleep (I sit here just at 05:12 and write this…)
The windows of the room are not very well insulated. It's like the acoustics are tipping a window, but it's not. In combination with the main road, sleep is at best to be thought of with earplugs.
Conclusion:
Dirty, noisy, uncomfortable. The absolute horror. We will leave after the 1st night and let the further booked night expire and move to another hotel.

Actually I was afriad of booking at this hostel because of some reviews I had read before, nevertheless I found it really good, has a central location, rooms are clean and the bathroom as well. However you have to bring your bed sheets because it costs extra €3.5 and paying with your visa will cost extra €2.5. It is allowed to bring your dog for €5 per night, I ven't tried tge breakfast yet so I can't judge now. Late check out is allowed as well for €10. Unfortunately they fon't have sky sports in the lobby but free Wi-Fi everywhere.

Classic Hostel. Clean room with small private bathroom. Nice lobby with bars and games.

The hotel is very convenient to the centre and close to the central station. In a few minutes walking distance it offers a good and inexpensive way to explore Düsseldorf.

Nice hotel were all was prepared to be cheap. And it is, you get what you paid for and no extras: Seems like the staff in the counter is all the staff in the house. All is paid at check-in time. Clean rooms but no cleaning while you are here. No phone or wake up service, room is IKEA style. No room service, no fridge, no water in the room. There are private and shared rooms. Rooms have a small table, enough to work. Internet is not fantastic but acceptable. The counter is in a big multipurpose room: Bar, snacks, snooker, sofas, tv, music, area were you can work… A mess. Breakfast is poor. Unless you need "all you can eat", you will be better served in one of the coffees around. Walking distance to Königsallee. I have been here more than once, and will be back.

As always everything perfect, was now the fourth time in this hotel and can only recommend it, the value for money is optimal and the staff is always supernice, thank you!

Very nice rooms, great value for money, good location. Could have been a wee bit cleaner, therefore a star deduction, but it was all very in the frame.

For the price everything top. The location of the hotel was very good. The rooms were reasonably priced but clean and still quite good in shot and the staff were friendly. Only the elevator and the driveway to the underground garage (12, €50 per day or night — so really OK) were very cramped. Overall the hotel is highly recommended and I will stay there again when I am in Düsseldorf.

I stayed 3 nights in the room 0020 — which is wayyy to big. The facilities are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. After the first night I got more a hotel experience rather than a hostel. The city is nice and really definitely worth to visit. I enjoyed my stay!

Accurate to have had a single with private bathroom, great value for money. Clean, well organized, friendly and helpful staff, great location, room and bathroom very spacious, Wi fi working everywhere, breakfast plentiful and varied.

Cheap ish rooms at a good central location. Comfortable and good service. No aircon, no fridge. Decent Wi-Fi.

It was. A very good hostel to bring our whole family to. We did wonder why there was a poster advertising free stay for children as we had to pay for our 6?

Good rooms, but bring your own pillow. Breakfast is nice with food and drinks. There is also free Wi-Fi with ok speeds.

The location is perfect, though the rooms are without air conditioning and very hot at night. Generally the rooms aren't super comfy. Noise at night isn't uncommon either. Though for the price I guess you should expect that.

I stayed only one night here, if you are looking for a cheap hostel…, it is a great place. Clean and well maintained. Need to pay extra for linen, but if you carry a sleeping bag you can use it. Only thing we missed was a common kitchen, but overall a satisfying experience. The staff are friendly and helpful! Enjoy your stay if you choose A&O.

I'm there very often. Sometimes I'm lucky with the room, sometimes I'm unlucky. This is partly due to the other people who stay in the room. But I have to bear this risk when I book a 4 person bedroom.
On my last stay, the fellow sleepers were ok, only the location of the room was miserable.
It was room 001, located right on the ground floor and next to the reception and reception area. So you could hear everything from the lobby when the windows were tilted.
Since there is a 24 h check in there also ran there all night through music, which was also audible in the room.
So bottom line: Never check into room 1. You don't get sleep!

Great location and great value. I brought my own light sheet and my own small towel which worked out perfectly. Hand soap and body wash included in comfortable showers, which was an added bonus. Further, the room was big, clean and comfortable! Would highly recommend for budget hostel in Dusseldorf.

Really good service and comfort atmosphere. But I was badly surprise, that a bed linens and towels not included in price. Nowhere was writen about it.

A thicker type at the front desk has totally ignored… we wanted to ask us to billiards and he answered repektlos. Bottom line is the most personal disrespect PS his name was Dominik.

Good location, although one not Hbf may call it because it is 10 minutes on foot.
The rooms were clean and useful equipped.
The staff is very helpful and gives even a quite relaxed atmosphere the whole. If Dominik works at the bar you're good drinks anyway, and always something to laugh at. Again and again!

We had two double room €20 per person. The rooms were clean, the bathroom is somewhat tight, but sufficient. TVs are small. Who is only one or two nights there and goes only to sleep in the room, is well catered for. Should we again visit Düsseldorf, we would consider again this hotel.

Hotel is a poorer youth hostel. TV too small, comfortable, bathroom without extraction device. Price/performance ratio at fair times impossible. Will avoid in the future the "hotel".

The A@O hostel was clean; We had a 4 apartment. With the bunk beds were rather small…
What has annoyed me but very is the advertising of the hostels with a 24-hour bar!
This is advertising with false facts; The fact is that you can get alcoholic beverages only from 17:00 until 01:00.
I found this already bold… We were there with a JGA and I got 35 years no cyclists on Saturday at 16:00. … "This discussion result in response of the service we always; "but there is written on a Blackboard with chalk… "
Here, one should rather apply the true facts: café bar and on the limited time for the serving of alcoholic drinks hints!
Otherwise, everything was clean; Room somewhat clean but on the price performance ratio completely ok.

Not so intoxicating : (Room not clean (strange hair and dust on the floor) rooms — access mechanism constantly broken, unable to make telephone contact with the reception, to very expensive underground parking fees from €12.50…

A very pleasant surprise. Would easily recommend this hotel to those wanting a low cost but clean and well appointed central city location in Düsseldorf.

I had a good stay in this hotel. Rooms are clean and nice, breakfast was basic but good and staff very helpful and friendly when we arrived. But during the night a group of drunk guests of the hostel arrived home at 3 am and made a lot of noice outside the hostel for about 30 mins so me and my friend got awake. Same at 4 am and same at 5 am so bye bye good night sleep. So I was wondering if there is 24 hour reception why the staff was not asking this people to keep quit. The next morning I talked to the RECEPTION MANAGER and I got a very short andwer: Can't help it! My good stay turned into a not so good stay. This lady did not even an effort to listen to my complaint. No complaints about my stay but I am a costumer, a client and if I have a problem I liuke it when they also care and want to help!
