+ Dinner was delicious. The corner bathtub was very nice. The balcony in the room is ideal for smokers. Location was very central, all within walking distance.

— Breakfast was very loveless, the rolls and the cold cuts were not fresh.
The salad had brown spots, the cheese was hard, the coffee was not exactly edible.
I don't want to start with cleanliness.
After the arrival I bought cleaning products directly and especially cleaned the bathroom carefully. Everywhere foreign hair, the shower totally calcified and also not even nearly cleaned.
It smelled uncomfortable when you came into the room. Mold?
The curtains, the bed and the floor had many stains that could be cleaned normally without any problems.

The only positive was the reception. That was very nice. But that's it. The parking situation is terrible, we had to park on the parking deck of the nearby shopping center because there was nothing else. The room was located in a side street, where it smelled of vomit and the corresponding audience romped. The room itself was in the attic. Furnishing sitdown actually quite nice, but cleanliness left something to be desired. Unbearably warm in summer. Open window, however, did not go — too loud. The breakfast was a naughty thing. Absolutely unsatisfactory for the price. Little to no choice (one type of jam, a small plate with sausage and cheese, salad, 1 slice of cucumber, half a tomato, eggs, kaiser bread, bread, water, coffee, orange juice). Vegetables already dried up, how long the orange juice was already open I don't want to know. The table wobbled, under the table everything was dirty, which came not only from the guests in front of us. Well thought but poorly implemented. I would not recommend the guest house. I'd rather pay a few euros next time, but feel good… Luckily we were only 1 night here…

We booked the Phantasialand arrangement via the voucher book and stayed at the Balthasar Neumann guest house. We liked it very much, both the rooms were very nice and cozy, as well as the staff. We ate once in the evening (3-course menu), which was super delicious and nicely prepared. For breakfast there was a sparkling wine breakfast, also tasted very tasty. The waiter was very nicely dressed to suit the ambience and all in all we were very satisfied :)

Very nice rooms. The location is perfect. The whole thing is close to the train station (a 5-minute walk) and centrally located in the city centre. Especially in the evening you can go there again something to drink or the same. We also booked breakfast. This one was okay. There were regular rolls, coffee, orange juice, a little cheese and sausage, as well as jam to the table. Selection well, taste okay, hence only four points. In addition, the staff was not friendly or helpful. Overall, but good!

I forgive intentioned 2 stars as the service was very friendly and it was an absolutely offbeat experience. I was here for New Year's breakfast and we received a table without reservation. The quality of the breakfast did not correspond to my ideas, but the ambiance and the waiter made it an unforgettable experience. The condition of the guest room is old and a little dusty.

I was there in 2013. Such a nice place and warming inside liked a home. Food was exotic and having very friendly staffs.

For the visit of my aunt in Brühl we needed a hotel in the short term. We were lucky to get a room here. The hotel is clean and very nice design. Also the food was delicious and overall the value for money is great. We would love to come back!

Guesthouse everything else as well! Room old, small and not worth the money. You hear everything from the next room. Entrance to room over ancient and narrow staircase with suitcase is imposition. The room was very comfortable. Can only be advised, especially if room or apartment is booked for more than 3 people!

I am happy with my stay at this hotel.
Breakfast was good, room clean and there is the possibility to use the sauna during the stay.
I think the website could be a bit more contemporary… but that's why there's no star deduction, just take it as a tip;)

I have to say that the guesthouse was just great. The stay was very nice there with the family.
It is very well suited for long stays the rooms were very well kept, tidy and you could perfectly rest there for a very reasonable price. The rooms were as described. The atmosphere there, surprised me positively, because it was very soothing. Also, the service was also top!.
If I had any questions, I was kindly advised and helped.
It all worked great. I really can't recommend it to anyone. Definitely gets 5 stars from me. Always happy!

Good value for money in Balthasar Neumann. I felt comfortable in the room, it was clean and spacious. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Also the location is really great.

The guesthouse has very nice and clean rooms with great location to the city of Brühl. Also the food was very good, the service was also very friendly. Will be happy to come back!

The breakfast is okay, the buns are fresh. However, I only give 3 stars for the cold cuts, which is fresh but came out of the pack.
Fresh ware from the butcher would help the beautiful ambiance to 5 stars!

We stayed there for two days and would love to come back. The rooms are very nicely decorated and clean as there is absolutely nothing to complain about.
The food was good for all of us, there was something suitable for everyone. The service was very friendly and really deserved your tip. The food arrived very quickly and was as already addressed, sufficient and delicious.

The food and the overnight stay at the hotel was great. Really friendly staff and incredibly good food. The two days could not have been better.

We liked the Phantasialand arrangement. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful, the room and especially the sauna very nice!

Not a bad value for buck. We had a couple of hiccups during our stay but the overall experience was still memorable. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try the sauna. First the bad: Room was not ready when we came here, we had to wait. Not a problem but I don’t need to see my room before it’s ready. We ordered our dishes without pork meat (we even asked if that was possible weeks before we came, in our inquiry email) and the first time the fish dish came with pork pieces all over it. Ok, no problem, mistakes happen. Now comes the shock of my day: they bring me the same dish with the pig pieces removed. Not cool. The good: The waiter is so hearty! The food quality is quite good to be honest (despite me not eating the rest of after tasting the pork) The beds are actually really comfortable!

I would recommend this hotel not really. For 67 Euro with breakfast this was not really good. I slept well for 1 night and the room was OK.
The ordered breakfast had to be still worried and much then still very small. The service at breakfast was not the friendliest.
The location is good. The hotel is spread out of several inns located in the city centre. For breakfast you have to walk through the city.
The maids come without knocking into the room, which does not go and make a noise in their work which I have never experienced before.

It is right next to the pedestrian area, but Drotzdem is a very quiet location.

My friend and I were in connection with a visit to the nearby Phantasialand one night at the guesthouse Balthasar Neumann and are completely satisfied. The room was nice, very clean and well kept. The staff was always friendly and accommodating and the food was top notch. I could also bring my dog without any problems, absolutely recommended!

We rented one of their apartments, and can absolutely recommend that to others. Fair sized apartment with two big bedrooms with a double bed in each. Good bathroom with bathtub, nice kitchen with fridge but perhaps a little short on cooking equipment. But who cooks gourmet dinners on vacation anyway? There even is an elevator! :D Walking distance to shopping mall with grocery store (Rewe/Aldi) and to the railway station with shuttle bus to Phantasialand. Nice restaurants in the area. :)

Stayed for 3 nights — me and two other friends. Reception very friendly; speak English and obviously German. Situated in a lovely area with a LIDL nearby which was nice. A couple of nice cafés in the area. We stayed in order to go to Phantasialand; the nearest station is 7 minutes away and there's a shuttle bus to Phantasialand. The nearby station has trains to Cologne HBf too!

Not impressed by the standard of the rooms (from 3 occasions, 1 was good, but 2 others were bad), but the location is good.

The bath sunk the ventilation was in the shower, the bathroom was so small the 2 man no place had.
The rooms had that what is on the Web site to do anything.
Wants to stop when someone is traveling he must go in there.

We had booked 3 rooms and were led by the friendly staff directly to the Guest House. Also the elevator garage was explained very well.
In grade II listed houses the interior layout is obviously not always be influenced, but we expected this. There are new and clean bathrooms, our beds were clean and comfortable and the mattresses completely in order. Look in the garden, not bad.
The proximity to the Centre of Brühl is ideal, where in the evening in the room was nothing to hear. Wi-Fi is free of charge, you need to keep the people and receives a code easily.

A convenient accommodation for the trade fair. The parking is somewhat cumbersome but beautiful rooms. Free Wi-Fi is with 10 Mbit / s super.

So sleep in the Guest House for € 50 you must have a little humor here was the handyman at work and which was full! The beds are terrible when you stay for 2. Recalls at sea all night for a 20. Er would be ok.

Horriable customer service!
By rules of this place check-in before 23:00. We were stuck in a traffic jam, so could not get in time. I tried to reach them by phone. No luck — no one picked up the phone. As a result, my card was charged a fine of 72 euros. At the same time we could not get inside — everything was closed, and there was no door-bell. We had to sleep in the car in the parking lot (pregnant wife, 7-year-old daughter and I)!
In the morning I found the manager, told him the story and told him that the least he could do was try to call me before fining me. He did not give a damn! Said that I did not call long enough, that he was not going to call Russia (although we are from the Ukraine), and that the rest was written in their rules. When I told him that thanks to these rules we spent the night on the parking lot, he made a “bick”-face, turned away and left. We were shocked by such rudeness! No simple sympathy whatsoever. Keep away from this place! These people are robots.

Very nice Hotel! A stone's throw from the Phantasialand away! We have us felt very comfortable! Super Food! We go in two weeks again to us the castles of view.

We were recently at the Gästehaus Balthasar Neumann, and had a few nice days. For the anniversary, I had my girlfriend to a romantic Candle — Light Dinner invited. The table was nice for us adorned and also taste, it was for us an unforgettable experience! I also had one more night in the Hotel as well as a Breakfast booked. Also, our room was extra for us, for our anniversary, well done, we were absolutely thrilled. In the Morning we have Breakfast, also tasted very good. Then we wanted to go, but before that, we still have the super nice sauna and tested us to relax a bit. We will definitely be back and say see you soon!

Three days we were to visit in the beautiful Brühl. We knew the guest house not and wanted to see something New. Immediately upon arrival we were nicely welcomed, have a Garage and get a super nice room. The room was right next to the sauna located, which cozy and modern. In any case, to relax are invited to attend. Right in front of the Sauna and our room you could comfortably sit outside. Especially good we liked that it was in the room nice and cool and was the absolute Highlight for me was the riiiiiiiesen shower. Beautiful was also, that the guest house is so centrally located and we have the car all the time could leave. It is really in less than a Minute in the city centre and the Shuttle Bus has a maximum of 10 minutes to the Phantasialand theme Park is needed. After the visit to the Phantasialand theme Park, we had a 3 course menu, which is in the reservation includes. Also here we were again nice to receive a glass of sparkling wine to get delicious and eaten. This could be from a variety of dishes to choose. We have deliberately chosen differently, to more to be able to try and it has everything to us very good tasted. Before departure, we still have delicious Breakfast and are well saturated and very happy to go home. We would love to come back!

We were over the weekend there, have the Phantasialand theme Park visits and were completely satisfied. The room was very nice and friendly and in the Restaurant with a tasteful ambience. The menu was a culinary fantastic and the Breakfast very tasty and rich! The Central but nevertheless quiet location has us very fallen. Reception and operation extremely friendly and accommodating. We come next year definitely again!

Already with the arrival of the first minus point. As one stands in front of the guest house and the reception is at a completely different location. Nowhere a sign. Fortunately, nice people made us the way to have shown. At the Speiserei is you then first in front of a locked door. I had for the beginning of January for a room for my parents in the Balthasar Neumann posted. They were with the rooms and the Service (reception, Housekeeping) very satisfied. We were in August in the Balthasar Neumann. The problem with Parking lots, we found, in principle, not bad. First off: The Parking space search is an absolute Horror. Waiter is very impersonal and "cold" (0-1 star), for the food itself I give 4 stars. Tables are very small (one sits virtually at the next table). One eats with coupon (Jochen Schweizer) there is a "Standard menu", where you either have a Fish dish or a Meat dish to choose from.
