Super business hotel. As part of a further education, I should enjoy a seminar here for three days. There is nothing missing, great rooms (very clean), extensive buffet at any time of the day and an excellent coffee machine (very important)! I particularly liked the snacks between breakfast and lunch. The existing images on Google Maps describe the hotel aptly.

Newly renovated rooms. Beautiful bathroom. Good beds. Switch-off climate. Good but expensive breakfast (+18).
Not a harmonious carpet, but parquet/laminate. Since 4.5 does not work and the price (68) was great there are 5 stars.

The hotel is conveniently located at the motorway exit. If you want to see the city, you have to walk for a few minutes.
The rooms are being renovated. Are clean and very pleasantly furnished.
Food is ok, breakfast buffet is plentiful.

We must breathe a breath of air into our hearts! We have already been to several hotels in her group but this is not possible in Aachen. In the evening, a guest wanted to order Caipirinha, did not go because there was no brown sugar in stock. Food is printed daily on the menu. Sunday and May 1, we didn't get any food. On Monday we wanted to eat a la cart. We had agreed on salmon with potato buffers, there were no potato buffers in stock. Now we wanted to have a cocktail on our last day at the end. Have waited 15 minutes in vain.

Good place to stay, 25 minutes walk to HBF. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is good, with good options. Unfortunately the pool was close while I was there. The room size is good and no sounds from other rooms were heard during my 2 weeks stay. Only disturbing sound came from some meetings on the yard. Overall a good experience.

The Mercure Hotel Aachen is very conveniently located right on the A544, on the European square. The voice is discouraged first, with the shame of the 70s one does not expect much. The entrance area makes the doubts fly away quickly. It has been renovated. The reception was very nice. The room was clean, with small fridge (formerly mini bar), also the bathroom was clean and bright. The toilet is in a narrow corner, who is more popular could get problems here. In spite of the traffic connection, the room was quiet at night with open window. Breakfast was plentiful, but at a price of 18 euros completely covered. This is better for other hotels, even very good ones. In the hotel you can also have dinner. Either at the buffet or by card. We had pizza and a flame cake. Unfortunately, both were frozen food and not recommended. You can go directly to the disco and save a lot of money. The service was nice and helpful. There was no charge for parking, which might be due to the fact that we were a large group.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Extra parking. Location: just over a KM from the City Center (bus nearby) … I highly recommend!

Very good hotel, very friendly staff, rooms very clean and a great bathroom in modern style. Balanced breakfast, very rich, fresh, and a very large selection. Well located, about 10 minutes walk from the old Town and center. Very quiet location with secured parking. Highly recommended.

This is a decent hotel just outside the city center of Aachen. It is easy to reach the hotel by car and there is parking at the hotel for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and were able to assist and make for a pleasant stay. The room itself was nothing special. I had a quiet room facing the fields behind the hotel. However, it seems the doors are not very sound proof as I could hear other guests talking in the hallway and also the housekeeping knocking at each and every door when they started working in the morning. Another downside is the location. It may be good if you have business to do in the vicinity of the hotel but if you are in town to also explore the city there are better options for accommodation including several Accor Hotels.

No complaints. I'm going back with pleasure.
Only very important info: The restaurant runs on Sundays.

It's a short way from the old town. We enjoyed our stay very much. Clean, modern and comfortable is how I'd describe our room. The bathroom was very nice and modern, the room was very light with a lovely view into the garden. We really did enjoy our stay, as the staff was more than nice.

All top, easy to book via internet without having to deposit the credit card number, super nice gentleman at the reception, competent information on questions regarding evening arrangements or dinners.

Lots of parking, good accessibility of the highway, good break snacks, good lunch. The food is high. The seminar rooms are functional. Drinks were always replenished.

Very clean hotel. The food is also. Only for a family holiday not necessarily so great. The location is not in the center and there is only one Ausssenpool.

Paid Parking not advertised, lady at the reception little smiling. Card disabled 2 times. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast industrial size except fresh fruit.

On January 13, we booked a room adapted to disabled people in the Mercure Europaplatz for February 20. It has been confirmed on January 15. However, on February 13, just one week before our stay, we received an e-mail with the following content : "Dear Mr. XXX, hereby we are contacting you regarding your reservation for the 20.02.2018 in the Mercure Hotel Aachen Europaplatz. Unfortunately we have to inform you that we have to cancel your reservation for a disabled room because we have another other guest with a long stay reservation. Is it possible for you that you will arrive on another date? Thank you in advance for your reply. Kind regards" What!? A confirmed booking is a firm contract between two parties which cannot be cancelled unilaterally. The reason : someone else had requested (after our booking) the room for a longer stay and, I quote, they could not check her out just for one night. But checking us out for our entire stay was not a problem… And if we had booked on a given day, we had our reasons. So, asking us for changing our arrival date is also unacceptable. And then, follow up by the hotel management shows total disrespect for us. They found an "alternative" solution which would cost us more money while, as a reminder, THEY chose to cancel our confirmed booking.

Room clean, rich breakfast, service is not lazy. Everything as expected at Mercure…
Pity that there is no sauna…

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. No family-friendly! €104 incl. Breakfast for a family with 3 children!

The hotel is very clean and has a very good breakfast.
On the first day at breakfast I asked for filter coffee and got it. When I inquired on the 2nd day, another staff was there and they told me that the machine is out at 9am and it takes to turn it on and that's why it's not being used now. I think at a hotel like this, one must be able to serve filter coffee to the guests. It wırde just so accepted and offered Nşcht times an alternative.

Good choice. Good location to enjoy the Carolus baths. Freshly renovated. Welcome in English or German only, but very helpful staff.

Ver van het centrum, avondeten niet bijzonder. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, maar het verwerken van de creditcardgegevens wordt slecht of laat geregistreerd in het systeem, je kunt beter je drankjes gewoon aan de bar afrekenen. De parkeerplaatsen moeten per dag afgerekend worden. De kamers zijn schoon en compleet.

Very functional building, its advantage lies in the good transport connection, especially by car, inside contemporary quite chic standard, friendly and attentive staff, bed and bathroom good "business class"

Nice hotel but slow service.

The reception and management team at this hotel is incredibly bad at serving customers. Arriving at 11PM we found out that one of our prepaid rooms was not available due to overbooking. The staff took 45 minutes to arrange a new accommodation (they had no solution ready) and at first they were even ecpecting us to pay for the new room. Unacceptable.

Nice hotel, very clean and looks to be well looked after. Rooms are bijou without being too small. Beds are comfortable, however the pillow is less so (bring your own if fussy). Location is handy for the motorway but not so handy for the centre of town which is a 20 minute walk away. There is plenty of on site parking, note this is not free. Breakfast is a buffet breakfast, it is excellent with plenty of choice but at time of writing is quite costly at €18. Free Wi-Fi. Very pleasant, efficient and friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good connection to A544. Very close to the highway. Regular Dinerbuffet with variation. Large car park available but subject to charges.

Hotel renovated, nice and very well placed to enjoy the spa Carolus, the only downside is the restaurant to avoid, poorly organized, quickly overwhelmed and long wait.

Nice hotel which is very German. Breakfast is very good. Diner is hit and miss. Staff very friendly.

Gute einrichtung, nette mitarbekter, leckeres frühstück. Leider die zimmer etwas klein, dafür aber eine schöne dusche. Das Klo ist in einer schlechten position, da man sich dort nicht richtig hinsetzen kann.

Really good! Should I come back to Aachen, I would like to check in again. Quiet even at night!

Good position 20m to city centre. Hotel good facilities.

Very good, quiet and well placed at the edge of the Umwelt area.

Comfortable bed, hot shower with good pressure. Internet seemed ok on my phone but haven't tried a laptop or streaming videos. Didn't have food in the hotel so cannot judge that although we investigated having breakfast there but it was ~18€ which we deemed too expensive.

The place has been recently done up it seems, rooms seem brand new corridors still smell faintly of paint. So on that front AOK. *BUT* Its way out of town 30min walk or €10 taxi, there's very little in the way of local restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant doesn't open every night, and there was such a fight for tables at breakfast at about 06:50 I gave up and bought sandwiches from the petrol stn down the road. Its a place to consider as a bed if you have a car.

Hotel very comfortable and very social, well located in the area many possibilities to make city tours and walks, a visit is necessary;)

It was a very nice place to visit the city centre. For the rest service OK.

First impression as access pretty much hidden is pretty negative, and is possible only through the parking lot.
Parking is available for a fee, what for a 4 * hotel is already a nerve.
We have waived the breakfast €18 were definitely too expensive for us.
The room size and — equipment was in order.
But for the price I don't will hotels guest of Mercure.

Nice place to stay, not so far from city center. Good service.
