Room was ok. Breakfast very good. Location Top.
The bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly. For 1 night that was fine.

Good and unbeatable hotel close to the historic city center. Very good breakfast, but separately quite expensive (17, 50€ p. P. As of 08/2018). We had integrated it into the room rate, which was significantly cheaper.
Parking can be done close to the car park at the Waffenplatz.
The staff was helpful and friendly.

We had a great, spacious room and a super large bathroom. Unfortunately, it wasn't 100% clean, but it was okay.
The staff is super friendly and breakfast is a dream! The restaurant looks super classy, you just feel very comfortable there. The filter coffee was extremely good, you rarely have that!

Central location, and appropriately noisy. The room was cold and had little daylight. At the surrounding eatery, to which there was a drink voucher, I'm certainly not going to eat anymore. The spaghetti with truffles were not cooked long enough, certainly still at least 3 minutes from al dente, the truffles were surprisingly poor in flavor, but was plentiful cream in the sauce. The breakfast was great!
Too bad for me: I had left a small meditation pillow in the room, and asked twice in writing to send it to me for reimbursement. Unfortunately, no one reacted. I'm not going to check in there anymore.

In the context of our own wedding with the family for 2 nights in the Altera and the associated brasserie.
We have to thank the staff and the owner Mrs. Schmitz for the excellent service, the great food and the attentive, friendly and professional manner for the operation for an unforgettable weekend.

Is centrally located. The duvets were much too warm for the small room. Breakfast leisure to be paid separately — well!? Must not be at the prices.

Everything is great but the fitness tudio has only 10 kg of dumbbells.

Upscale hotel, modern facilities, the rooms in the loft area are very large with approx. 25m2. Breakfast and lounges are very good.

A nuisance are the buns. Lidl level would still be positive. Unfortunately, it always tears up with the quality.

Very courteous service, nice quiet rooms, cozy lounge, extensive and delicious breakfast and good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, the beds are a little too soft for my taste.

Basically we liked the stay. Little things have dampened enthusiasm. Shower cap above the smoke detector (presumably from the predecessor) or the bad running shower water. The most unpleasant was the night, as it was raining and the windowsills were made of ring-plate, you couldn't sleep through. We were also surprised by the accommodation in the nearby loft house, which is about 500m away from the main house. Therefore the sauna and the fitness area were just as passé. First jacket wear cap and scarf to get to the sauna I can have at home. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection and a friendly service.

Wonderful, stylish hotel in quaint old Oldenburg. Really nice rooms, attractive and well-designed; large bathroom with separate bath and shower; good lighting alternatives; two complimentary small bottles of water; great location; surprisingly inexpensive. Breakfast (included with my room) was definitely restaurant quality, with delicious meats (roast beef, smoked salmon BOTH with accompanying sauces) and a muesli bar for vegetarians. A few negatives: those horrible all-in-one soap/shampoo dispensers in shower, too-soft bed, very small lobby with difficult elevator access, tall people could have problems (low ceiling areas, beds with headboards and footboards), parking is in a very popular public lot that on weekends can have long lines to enter, desk clerk literally stunned speechless that the two men who reserved a kingsized bed for the two of them actually WANT a kingsized bed for the two of them.

My mother had quartered there so that she was nearby during a hospital stay of my father. The service was first class. Mama relies on a Rollator and got all kinds of help there. The staff was very caring and helpful and the room large and cozy. Really recommended!

Unfortunately not quite perfect: Shower gel/shampoo was empty, only 1 water glass for 2 guests, seams frayed on the shower cloth

Amazing breakfast, rooms could be better but still ok. Excellent location! Parking were inexpensible in the near by parking garage.

We had a great stay at the Altera. It's in the center of town. Comfortable beds and nice spacious rooms. Cosy atmosphere and very friendly service! I highly recommend at stay at Altera when in Oldenburg.

Beautiful newly renovated four star hotel. We were housed in a "loft L". Appropriate size of room and bathroom. Hotel consists of a main building and a boarding house. The boarding house is accessible at night only by a closed Lane, so that it is accordingly quiet. Other guests in the main building but complained about the volume.

The hotel is very centrally located. You could start right in the city centre and enjoy the city.
We were kindly received at the reception desk and escorted in the other part of the building. Here, for example the note about place and time for breakfast was missing. The character of the construction site disturbed it. In the part of the building, it was with his code card by two secured doors. The cards should be checked before all functionality. Once a card did not work. This happened at night would have been inevitable trouble.
The first impression of the room was good. The coffee machine was a plus. The bathroom was very spacious. A minibar and safety deposit box was not available. Should be at a 4-star standard.
There was also a balcony. This was not maintained. All chipped paint. And Outlook was not present. You would need to indicate when booking construction.
Bed was also very comfortable at first glance. And it was looking for a mattress. This proved misleading. I hate visitors cracks. At night, the mattresses had so much room that it was always directly between them. The pillows were yellowed. So you would have not looked better under the cover.
The room was booked for two persons. There was just a bathrobe. I don't know how long he was in the Cabinet. Not fresh smell. The facial tissues in the bathroom were except one, empty. After the service had been always room the next day order, we thought at first that was refilled.

Very friendly and obliging. Facilities good. Happy to be back.

There is even a private coffee machine (free). The service is looking for its same, from friendly welcome to personal accompaniment to the room and the warm farewell. The exclusive lounge in the boarding house leaves nothing to be desired with fine drinks and the stay will be an indescribable experience. The terrace invites you to linger for a longer time and in the evening by the fireplace the hours pass like in flight! The redesigned brasserie with your wine — and food selection is certainly looking for your kind for a long time. From oysters to calamari to the unique steaks, we couldn't find the whiff of criticism. The Competent Service (the nice boy from Sansibar) explains every wine and gin as if he has made it personally and serves him with a smile which makes every heart beat faster and this even though the shop is packed.
If Oldenburg then again and again this hotel!

The exclusive Lounge in the boarding house with fine drinks, no wishes open, and the stay an incredible experience. The terrace invites guests to stay longer and in the Evening by the fireplace away the hours fly by! The newly designed Brasserie with your wine and dinning options looks to make sure long after their Peers. Of oysters over Calamaris to the unique Steaks, we were not the slightest criticism. The Competent Service (the nice Boy of the Zanzibar) explained each wine and Gin, as if he personally made and served Him with a Smile what every heart beat faster, and this even though the Store is bursting at the seams. If Oldenburg then always go back to this Hotel.

Just on the point! Fresh food and great craft combines! Go.

We loved it.

The Hotel is wonderfully centrally located in Oldenburg and really tastefully decorated. The rooms to the back of the courtyard to take, of course, the nightly noise of the town centre, on the still through the large smooth surfaces of the houses is enhanced. Big people find on the very hard bed but only 200cm long Cover. My room had no mini bar and no Safe. The shower is a significantly small calcified shower head but the hot water delivered. Exceptionally I was very surprised by this small, individual house, which is exceptionally service-oriented. The "guest" in the center looks. Because I the reviews of the predecessor've read, were my expectations absolutely exceeded and have a completely different conclusion. This Hotel offers obviously every one individual possibility of stay and a selection of different room types and prices reasonable. I have for the Lofts, which are located in a separate building, interested. These were visited fully booked, but the extremely nice receptionist offered to give me the individual, spacious and very modern rooms to show. In the Hotel, I received a lovely, quiet double room for sole use and could the great big Spa with Sauna and Saunarium. As a connoisseur it was hard for me between the high-quality Restaurant or the sophisticated bar menu to choose from. The wine list is exceptional and highly recommended. From my point of view, an absolutely recommendable house with great people.
